When I informed that they have messed my order the person on the call argued with me, a vegetarian that I had ordered a chicken thali. Because there is a seasoning, the coating of the fried cauliflower absorbs the seasoning, so the dish is dry but not overly dry. The email clearly stated: "You receive a $15 coupon" with valid dates and ID requirements -- no minimum spend mentioned anywhere. When I went in to redeem it, the owner was hostile from the second I walked through the door, as if I had done something wrong by expecting them to honor their own promotion. He actually said, "There is nothing like free money,"and demanded I spend $50 just to use the $15 coupon. When I asked where that condition was written, he immediately changed his story and offered "50% off instead," which still required me to spend $30 to get the same $15 benefit. That is classic bait-and-switch, no matter how you try to dress it up. Rather than taking responsibility, he told me to "check with the radio show team" and openly admitted this is his "business model." Legitimate businesses don't invent rules on the spot. If there are conditions, they are disclosed upfront -- not when a customer is already standing at the counter. The most disturbing part wasn't even the money -- it was the arrogant, dismissive, and condescending attitude. He looked genuinely shocked that someone actually came in to claim the reward and made it painfully clear he never intended for anyone to use it. His facial expression alone said it all: annoyance, disbelief, and contempt. He repeatedly insisted that "there is no free stuff," despite advertising exactly that. I also bought an "apple cake," which was a doughy ball spiced with chai flavors and filled with apple chunks. It looks like recipes add cocoa powder but I didn't really taste chocolate in this one, probably since it was covered by the strong spices. I am writing to share a deeply disappointing and concerning experience with a cake I recently ordered from your bakery.
