Three of us shared: crispy spring rolls, 4 - pronounced crunch and substantial contents and orangey dipping broth pleasant. Potstickers 4 - wonderfully crisp outside, contents had nice texture and brown dipping broth a good accompaniment. Pad Thai and Crispy? Chow Mein - tossup on which we liked best. Liked smooth texture of pad and tofu strips but one didn't care for the shrimp looking yam crescents. Loved the crunchy peanuts and wouldn't mind a bit more. Loved the mushrooms in chow mein. BBQ tempeh bowl with kale and carrots over rice - enjoyed spicy tempeh classic flavor. Shared Cacao pecan cake and New York cheezcake. Loved the subfloor pops and silky texture of both. Bravo to all and look forward to returning! Note: chose them from Bay Area Check Please reviews

I was informed that the patio is open and to order using a QR code at one of the tables in the patio. You have to sign in and create an account to order. It took me a minute to order. I wanted to try their specialty dishes especially because they have mushroom dishes and soy protein dishes. But by the time I was able to figure out how to order and sign up, I was pressed for time to order a meal and ended up ordering crispy spring rolls. Once your order is placed, you wait for a text to let you know your order is ready. Then I have to pick up at the window. Spring rolls were okay. I really wanted to try the crispy oyster mushrooms or the lion mane mushroom dish. Or even the Sea Fruits plate but I wasn't going to have enough time to enjoy them. The patio was fine. A few picnic tables. You bus your own table at the end. Everything they used was biodegradable. I wish it was a better experience. The food looked delicious in pictures, but eating in an outdoor patio, ordering from a QR code, and picking up your food from the window made for a sad and sub par experience.

On this visit, we ordered the Tawa Okra Fry, and it was easily my favorite dish. If you're an okra fan, this one is a must-try. The smaller okra pieces gave it a nice crunch, and it was packed with flavor. We also had the Aloo Gobi, which was excellent. The potatoes and cauliflower were cooked perfectly and coated in a delicious gravy that paired wonderfully with rice and garlic naan. Another standout was the Chicken Tikka Kabab. It was juicy, flavorful, and simply delicious. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. The restaurant was also very clean and welcoming. Everest is truly a hidden gem in North San Jose and a place I'll definitely be returning to.

It's a small, cozy spot with casual seating, quick service, and a unique menu featuring Indian-inspired Nepali cuisine. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying, but I especially loved their house special paneer and malai kofta. I've been craving them ever since. The quality is consistently excellent, and the experience feels special despite the simplicity of the place. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious and comforting food.

And because there were so many people in line no dining in was possible, only takeout. I have visited this location on & off for a couple of years, alternating between coming here & their other location on Story Road for reliable & delicious canh chua (Vietnamese sour soup), Goi Bap Chuoi (Banana Blossom Salad), spring rolls, and their fried tofu! I do not speak Viet but 2 male servers speak Cantonese and all of them speak English. I have always paid cash so not sure if they accept credit. They also make fresh soybean milk with or without sugar & good sticky rice varieties and sweet desserts Chè, egg rolls, fried tofu.

I am a big fan of their canh chua (Vietnamese sour soup), Goi Bap Chuoi (Banana Blossom Salad), spring rolls, and their fried tofu! They have a hot bar, cold items, and food made fresh to order. The service is also nice but there is a Vietnamese language barrier that could make it harder to communicate. However, they were nice enough to give me a discount on my order of tofu since I bought the last of it and there weren't enough pieces to make a full order. As far as I am aware, this is a cash only spot. The prices have increased over the years like everything else in San Jose, but I do think it is still reasonable.

My favorite is the tofu dish that sort of looks like chicken/meat. I'm not really sure what it's called, but it's two dollars extra if you order it with a box. The texture is sort of like bean curd and mixing it so that the sauce combines with rice is so flavorful. The lemongrass tofu is very good as well with a strong lemongrass flavor. I've ordered the chow mein before as a side, but it's a little bit bland. The staff here mostly speak Vietnamese so it's a little hard to communicate sometimes, but I usually just get by with pointing to what I'd like. They're all very nice and patient though.

Once you're ready, you order at the counter and the staff member takes your order. I ordered the banh canh, and I must say it was very comforting. The flavor reminded me of something someone's grandma would make. It had such a homey feel, and every bite was really enjoyable. My husband ordered the bun rieu. He said the food was decent, but one thing he would critique is that the broth was a bit sweeter than expected. Usually bun rieu leans more toward the savory and slightly salty side, but here the broth was more on the sweet side, which he wasn't the biggest fan of. Overall, the service was excellent and the ambiance inside had a very clean, welcoming energy. We'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Stars are based on the overall experience.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.
