So it's currently quarantine and I've been ordering in a decent amount of food lately, and I kept ordering from another ramen place but then I saw this place on Uber eats. I decided to give it a shot and I'm SOOOO happy I did. This is the best ramen place I've had from on Long Island. Their Ramen is is better than the other places I've tried- it's more hearty and fulfilling. I added shaved beef to my ramen and it was delicious. Next is the bubble tea- sweet, but not TOO sweet and sooo good. Then we have the pork buns- those were really tasty and they had a cute little stamp on them. Here's the Scoop: truly this was a nice change of pace for lunch. It was really cold the day we went. Noodles in a savory broth hit the spot. Space is utilized very well. Upon entering there's counter seating, then As you walk through in the middle there's private dining and at the very back there is takeout and a small eat-in section. Parking is in the rear of the restaurant also. Service is very accommodating. While I waited for my order a cup of jasmine green tea was given to me and ooh, ooh it was delicious and just what I needed. As I sipped my tea and looked around at the decor it is beautifully decorated with umbrellas & kimonos. (See pics) My order cost $14, you might think that's pricey for Ramen but the portion was very filling and so, so tasty and flavorful! I can't wait to go back and try the curry entrees. Wanted to try this newish place since I'd heard so many great reviews. Finally kidnapped the hubby and went on a rainy Saturday afternoon. We were greeted right away and the host asked if we'd like to sit at the counter, in dining, or "in the back ". (Water is served complimentary, I should point out). Food: 6/10. Maybe 7. Ordered the char siu buns for an app, which were tasty but felt a little... cold? Pre-prepared? Cute presentation though. I got the spicy ramen and hubby got the classic shoyu. Noodles were fresh, springy with a nice chew. Broth was very rich. Char siu pork was delicious, fatty but perfectly cooked and flavorful. I didn't love the soft boiled eggs, which is a shame because I usually order extra of these in ramen joints. These also were cold and felt like they'd been prepared (too long) ahead of time. First time I've been to a ramen spot where I didn't finish everything and drink the broth from the bottom of the bowl. Overall, cute place with good service. Food was decent but not memorable, especially for the prices. I loved the Udon shops in Japan and when I saw this new restaurant I decided to give it a try. I haven't had a bowl of Udon that good since staying in Nippori, Japan! The portion sizes were large and the mochi green tea ice cream was a treat. The prices were reasonable for the main meal. I ordered the dumplings as an appetizer, which were good but a little pricey 高い. Overall, I loved the udon and would definitely go back again. After moving from NYC back to Long Island due to the pandemic, I was extremely happy to find a local ramen spot to try out. Rakkii Ramen exceeded my expectations! Not only did the restaurant have ample indoor and outdoor seating, the staff was great and the place was very clean. We ordered the chashu bao buns- they were alright, could definitely use more pork. The ramen was amazing. Portion sizes are plenty, including large slices of pork belly! The katsu curry chicken was not traditional, but delicious nonetheless. Super excited for another ramen joint opening! We went during the soft opening so some of the stuff that on the menu was not available. Hubby got the milk bubble tea and i got the passion fruit green tea. Both taste pretty standard like many other places. We got the pork buns. The cha siew is the thinnest we have ever had, we wish it would have been thicker. I ordered the sukiyaki udon. Full of flavor. Definitely on the salty side since it is a soy sauce based soup. I just wish it wasn't that salty since the meat is marinated heavily as well. The mushrooms inside was sooo good. Portions wise not enough udon so i had to order extra noodle. Hubby got the tonkatsu ramen which he enjoyed. But he also thought it was a little salty as well. Overall it was good and we want to go back to try the rice dishes. Steamed buns is one of my favorite dishes, this was a slab of dry fatty disgusting pork on a steamed bun with their logo stamped in it like some tacky burger joint. Also got a ramen bowl with chicken and eggs and it tasted like piss water. One of the most disappointing meals I've had. Absolutely terrible food that not only did I not finish but I would t even give the remains to my dogs. This place is about as authentic Japanese as I am authentic Martian. Extremely annoying experience. Ordered on Uber eats and was told 15-20 min after 15 min I got a notification it was ready. I got there about 10 min later so that's 25 min now. The hostess told me it was almost ready. I proceeded to wait for 25 more minutes. Another gentleman was there before me and still waiting for his. There was two men cooking- one man had no mask and it was unnerving to watch him cook without it. He was cooking fast but never for any takeout orders. In our forees into DoorDash ordering during the quarantine, most restaurants have disappointed. Cold, bland meals that make you wonder if the normal kitchen crew was there during all this chaos. The one bright spot in months of new restaurant trying was Rakki Ramen... A thoroughly enjoyable meal across the board. From the Tonkotsu Ramen to the Pork Buns, Vegetable Ramen to Gyoza, everything was tasty and felt like it was coming from a nice, sit-down restaurant. The food was packed with care (it's the first time I've seen the fancy ramen to-go bowls that separate the broth from the rest of the ingredients.) We were looking for a place to grab an early dinner. Had a craving for ramen. After a bit of research we decided to try Rakki Ramen in Smithtown. The first thing we noticed was the "do it yourself" environment. They provided me with a tablet on the table to place my order. After you order, your food is delivered by a robot, we named it Kitty. We started our ramen adventure with Bao Buns which we both enjoyed. We also ordered Pork Gyoza. Next Kitty delivered our soups. I got the chicken ramen and daddy got the beef ramen. Both were good. During our soup, the waitress brought over our gyoza. The order of the gyoza coming out was our fault as I didn't verify what was in my cart on the tablet prior to placing order. What was their fault however, is the gyoza coming out burnt. I could only eat one. Daddy was hungry so he finished the rest. My only pet peeve is that the server started cleaning the table before we were both done eating. Overall, interesting experience. The cost was very reasonable. Enviornment was casual so you can bring young children. If the above fits your criteria, I recommend give them a shot. read more

Decided to try this place for lunch today and was very disappointed. I was with 5 other people and we were sat right away. Everyone put their order in and appx 30 minutes later the food was brought out but my meal was missing. I didn't say anything, figuring it would be coming out shortly, but about 5 minutes passed when I had to stop the waitress to ask her where my food was. She had no idea. She then tried to serve me some sort of seafood ramen which was not what I had ordered. I told her to take it away as I had ordered beef ramen. The order had obviously not made it's way to the kitchen. The guy in front, who I assume manages the place told me it would be just a few minutes and he'd get right on it. He came by my table twice more to say "it's our fault" and it would only be a few more minutes. Well, who else's fault would it be? Of course it's your fault. I waited 20 minutes and finally they brought out the food. Everyone else at my table was almost done eating. They did not charge me for my meal, which was nice and of them but really it's the least they could do. The waitress was so terrible she should find another line of work. Absolutely abysmal. As for the ramen itself, ehh. Barely any beef in the bowl. I would never go back to this place. read more

The Ramen here was delicious and the decor is very cultural as well. The spoon they gave with the meal was reminiscent of a ladle. I had the Chashu Buns they were dropped off in a traditional bun steaming container. It was delicious, I even tried a piece of my friends Karage chicken, fried to perfection and still tasted light. I ordered the tomoatsu Ramen and added some Karage, I'm not lying when I say it was the most delicious ramen I've had in my life so far. I even drank all the broth, left nothing as respect for the chef. The staff was very kind and was ready for us when we got there, the waitress even split the bill without us asking. Ramen were overly al dente & unappealing Eggs were tasty Bamboo shoots - ok Broth was salty & tasty, but again, not very hot. They brought us more pork to make up for it, but it was still just meh. Overall, meh. Won't be coming back. Let me amend this: It's a new place. They obviously put a LOT of effort into the aesthetic -- it was well done for such a narrow space. BUT, the waitstaff was inexperienced and slow, and, most importantly, you need a professional chef who doesn't send out cold food (the people behind us also complained). My hope if that the owner read this, and hire someone who can run the kitchen & staff better. One other comment: define the a Japanese ingredients ON the menu so we don't have to go to Google to knows what's in the dish. ‍ (We've eaten one many ramen/udon places, never heard of some of these). Seaweed salad was similar to what we buy in the grocery store. Ramens had canned corn in them?! We tried several, all mediocre and under flavored. The best was probably the seafood udon. My salmon bowl needed soy sauce to be palatable. So i've been coming here for 2 years straight now, out of all ramen places this is by far the best only because the food is extremely consistent and although other ramen shops like eshin are great they offer more here and it's slightly cheaper than other options.
