Dr. Mike solved what 2 years of Physical therapy couldn't. I am one who was always skeptical of chiropractors....After 2 years it was time to try something else to figure out my back pain that kept me from playing tennis and golf and other activities. Once in the office he took x-rays and then we went over those. The x-rays clearly showed that things were out of alignment. Even though my PT was helping it never lasted. After 3 months things started to improve. He has a plan and if you follow it things will get better. I started at 3 times a week and I am now at once a week. We are working on trying to get me down to twice or even once a month. To anyone who says they didn't get better in three months or feel any change... then maybe you weren't following the protocol of that he recommends to the letter. I can say that if I miss doing certain exercises for two days things start to not feel right. But if I get back to doing what needs to be done then it can correct it self. read more

I agree with the reviews that Mike is personable and friendly. But he cannot cure everything but states he can after 3 months coming 3 times a week. This is a huge time commitment and he's out of network so I paid out of pocket everything. He has a decompression apparatus that cannot even go through insurance at all so that will always be completely out of pocket ($50/visit). The office is smelly and after going to him for 2 months (with no improvement) I stopped. Also, there is NEVER any wiping down of tables or machines that I saw. I would be very careful about spending your money here. read more

Definitely more concerned with the amount of patients he can squeeze in for the day. Quantity verse quality chiropractic care. Other chiropractors have taken more than 10 minutes three times a week to try and heal you. They dedicate quality time to each patient and try to help you as we'll as give you the tools and exercises you need to keep you out of their offices on a weekly basis. Well, I can tell you that this guy became all about the money. The service was less than what I expected from someone who calls himself a doctor. My suggestion would be to pay for services at the time they are performed, if you even trust this guy. He is a dishonest so-called care provider. And to think our insurance dollars go to pay for his kind of crap. When you are asked by anyone in this type of practice who says which price sounds better, the full price or the discount if you pay all at once. This is snake oil sales tactics. I was skeptical but Dr. Hoehle really has made a difference in how my back feels. He's energetic, learns your name, and has a great attitude. Most importantly, he's been good about getting me in at appointment times that work for me. I called this morning to see if they could change my appointment time because my job has me running an errand in the area, they called back quickly with the time I wanted. I've also found that they are good about respecting my appointment time and getting me out pretty quickly so this is a win win for me. If you're expecting a bright, shinny new office however, you might want to temper your expectations a bit. The office itself is totally adequate but older and could use some updating. read more

I started using Raleigh Chiropractic when I was 4 months pregnant. I had horrible sciatic pain in my leg and coming to Dr. Hoehle was pretty much my only relief the entire pregnancy from that pain. It was amazing the difference after each adjustment... Also, after my son was born, we started bringing him after he was three weeks old to help with colic, sleeping, and acid reflux. before his adjustment he would scream all night and after he was a new baby... After three surgeries on my neck I was unable to get through the day without massive amounts of pain meds. I was getting injections in my neck and back every 6 weeks, and still nothing was helping. My wife convinced me to go talk with Dr. Hoehle and see if there was anything that he could do post surgeries, and he was certain that he could. A quick chat between he and my pain management Dr. and I started treatments. After a few months I was off of my pain meds, and soon heading back to work. I am updating my review, in all fairness because Dr. Hoehle did send me a message. He apologized, explained the reason of being out-of-town, etc. and offered a free consultation and a chance to prove themselves to my satisfaction. He also requested I remove the review. I did not remove the review because the message came at a much later date after I posted it and in the interim, I had found another chiropractor that my family and I use. In all fairness, I cannot comment on his abilities as a DC, just my experience with trying to make an appointment. I was very skeptical at first...I had been having terrible migraines for years as a result of a fall and concussion several years ago. I was able to start seeing Dr. Hoehle last fall for my allergies. He is amazing! Not only was he able to help me breathe easily, but he was also able to help relieve lower back pain and pressure. I was so excited when i purchased this great deal from Living Social for only $30...although i already had a chiropractor and wasn't interested in the consultation, i felt it was worth it just for the massage alone! I scheduled my appointment for Monday to start my week off great, but it turned out to be so disappointing...the room was as big as my closet with bright walls, bright lights, NO curtains on the one window that was left open to let in the sound of the loud AC unit outside...There was no soothing music, no candles, infact it was so quiet, i felt uncomfortable, and they didn't turn off the lights...The bed was hard, the sheets looked dirty (i wondered if they even changed them between clients?), and there was no blanket on the bed unless i wanted to use the one in a ball on the floor...The head rest was a joke! The massage therapist actually ripped some paper and put it over it for me to rest my face in...and the massage was even worse... I can't imagine this place passing code! I felt so dirty and uncomfortable the whole time! I honestly was counting the minutes until it was over so that i could go home and shower (again!) i will never go back... I came home and cried to my husband about what a horrible experience i had, and i was mad at myself for going through with it when i should've put my foot down in the beginning-i was just giving them a chance since i already paid for it, and i assumed that if it was offered through Living Social, that these places must have been checked out to meet some sort of standard...I still feel disgusting and can't shower enough to get past this dirty experience that i had at Raleigh Chiropractic and Wellness.... Dr. Hoehle took us on a ride. He insisted we come 3 times a week and never seemed to change that requirement. Althought he said he was not like other chiropracters, he bled us dry. The office was filthy and very unsanitary conditions. His equipment is very old and he never lived up to what he told me in the beginning. It seemed to be all about the money. I found another chiropracter in Apex after leaving and she was not about keeping you as a patient, instead she wanted to heal you and not take all your money. Her office was clean and her equipment was so different from what I was used to as it was clean and new. The difference in her chiropractic table from his was amazing. It has been awhile so I can't remember everything, but just don't be fooled by his personality and looks, you will be suckered. I won't say that he didn't help, after hundreds of dollars, there was an improvement. But when I went to the new doctor, it only took about 4 visits and I was fine and haven't had any more back problems. read more

I've been in the care of chiropractors for more than 15 years. In the past, I would see the doctor for an adjustment only when I was in acute pain from sports injuries and, later on, from wear and tear of aging and carting around three children. Only Dr. Mike has been able to fully explain the source of my recurring discomforts. After an x-ray and a bit of an education, he mapped out a treatment plan which made great sense to me (as long as I saw results- I, too, was a skeptical consumer at first)...but anyone who has had chiropractic care is well aware of the commitment it takes in the front end of treatment to get permanent results...within a week I felt improvement in my overall health and I started sleeping more soundly. Within 2-3 weeks the discomfort from one particular ankle injury was completely eradicated and I could see my hips evening out. I am now nearly halfway through my "plan" and am so grateful for the practice Dr. Mike provides. In just a few more weeks, we will take follow-up x-rays to visually confirm what I already feel, that the lack of curve in my neck and the twist in my spine will have been greatly improved, if not completely reversed. This office truly lives up to its name. I would also note that Bryan is welcoming and knowledgable up at the front desk, interfacing with insurance companies along with the wide range of patients who frequent the office: elite athletes, toddlers, accident victims, energetic grandparents, and everyone in between. Contrary to what you will read in earlier reviews, I feel that Dr. Mike "demands" little of his patients...rather, he provides the gentle nudge that many of us need at the start of treatment to really get on pace with a plan to achieve your health goals. The longer you procrastinate and miss appointments, the longer it will take to re-teach your spine and set your body up for long-term health. I never feel rushed and have been impressed by their consistent quality of care. I don't hesitate to recommend Dr. Mike to anyone who needs chiropractic care. read more
