So when the entire "membership card" phase took place I signed up for Raley's card in order to get the deals. Today I went into the store and I saw a big sign for $.97 avocados. I took one up to the counter and gave him my card and he said oh no, you have to download the app then search for a "digital" coupon. Then activate the coupon and scan your phone at the register. Oh my God. Can you make it any harder to save a freaking dollar? Too many steps. This is why people don't want any part of any stores "membership" ridiculous. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy. I had some Prescriptions that needed to be filled, my Dr. sent them over, I have a prescription card for W/C. Instead of the pharmacy tech asking my wife questions, (I don't why she asked her anything, how is my wife supposed to know the name of my adjuster and phone number, let alone the name of the insurance company) The tech called me, she said she needed to fill out a form, before they could issue the meds, I understand , and have no problem with that. I told the tech to call the number on back of the card, they would have given her all the info that she was asking for. She replied, "Either I get all this information from you, or you're not going to get your meds, unless I wanted to pay cash at the tune of of $600.00 ( Now mind you, these meds are for an upcoming surgery, and if they are not picked up in 7 days, they are returned to stock.) We hung up the Phone, I called the store Director, he went and asked the tech questions about what was going on, I told him about the card I had, and that she needed to call that number to get the information that she needed. She never once asked the Pharmacist on duty at that time, for any help or guidance on this, again I said call the number on back of the card she never did. My wife went to go pick up my prescriptions last night the 14th, and the Head Pharmacist was there, she told my wife, that she did not appreciate me calling the store Director about the situation, she should have been called. I didn't call the Director, I called and asked to speak to a manager, that manager put me in contact with the store Director. Now how I see it, if the Head Pharmacist had any questions, she should have called me. She has no business telling my wife anything , if she wants to tell me something, call me and do so. Whats odd is that the Head Pharmacist talked to the Tech to get her side, but she couldn't call me to find out what happened. How can you make a judgement, without the full story? The Head Pharmacist also told my wife, the next time this happens, I can look for another Pharmacy, well I view that as a threat, and threats only go so far with me. If you're going to do that, have the backbone to tell it to the person you have a beef with, NOT the spouse. And now the final, three prescriptions were picked up, two of the paper receipts had the price of what they cost, the 3rd and most expensive, that one was torn off, who are they to tear off any portion of a receipt. I will be filing a complaint with Raleys Corporate, about this situation. Now, if they want to say I got them fired, they might want to look at their actions, that is what will get them fired. I'm just telling what happened. But you see, in this day and time, YOU or ME don't have the right to do anything, we can't file a complaint, all we can do is listen to their ultimatums, and accept them. Watch me do that. If they have done this to me, I guarantee they have done it to others, and have gotten away with it. Had the Head Pharmacist would have called me to discuss this, this review would not have been written. Actions, speak louder than words. And Hers spoke Volumes. Love this neighborhood grocery store. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean store. But beware of this guy from Lawrence from fresh farm to you. He is right by the front entrance. He is very pushy and a very aggressive sales rep. He doesn't take no for an answer and will try every excuse there is to make you order a medium box orde with his so call discount code. I spoke have filed complaint with the store managers and reported him to the Fresh Farm to you corporate office but it went no where since he is the only sales person for the area. Just be alert and don't fall for his little stories. This is solely review for this horrible sales person that will always be at the store harrasing customers to join this program. I like this location because it is surrounded by a variety of other businesses like- the dollar store, roundtable, a vape shop, a postal service, fast food, a veterinary clinic, a gym... stones across the way and much more. So Antelope & 80 is a poppin spot. I do have mixed feelings about this store. While I have hard a hard time with customer service in the past, it is convenient to go to when I visit my parents house. I like the quality of their meat department; I often buy fish here. Most recently, I purchased prime rib for my Christmas day dinner from here. The meat department allowed me to order ahead of time (15 pounds!). I appreciated the kind help I received as well as having my pre-order ready when I came in to pick it up. The rest of the store has got a great set up. I feel like there are better quality items here vs a safeway. I live in Fair Oaks and I shop at the Fair Oaks Raley's, but I was in Citrus Heights, Ca on Friday afternoon, February 23, 2024 so I stopped to pick up a few items at the Citrus Heights Raley's and I enjoyed my shopping experience very much because of a young lady by the name of Jaden. I used the self check out register to ring up my items and while I was ringing up my items I discovered that I needed a coupon from the Raley's newspaper ad to get the sale price for one of the items that I was purchasing. Jaden, who was standing near the self check out registers asked me if she could help me. I told her that I needed to get the coupon from the Raley's weekly newspaper ad for one of the items that I was purchasing and Jaden said "no problem, I will add the coupon to your order for you" and she did add the coupon to my order. I was very impressed with Jaden's very positive attitude, her willingness to help me, her politeness and her smile. Jaden was cool, calm and collected while she helped me and two other customers right after she helped me. Jaden's customer service was "OUTSTANDING"!! I asked Jaden for her name and if she had a title. Jaden said to me that " I am just a cashier", but Jaden in my opinion is "Cashier/Customer Service Extraordinaire!!" Jaden was and is "AWESOME" and I will definitely shop in this Raley's again because of Jaden!! My recent purchase.... On 3/2/19 I ventured in with some rewards I had received in the mail thanks to their Something Extra Program, I always seem to save a bundle! For example I scored a free 4 pk of their amazingly delicious Banana Nut Muffins and $5.00 off my entire purchase! In total with my rewards used I saved a total of $14.04, pretty great! If you haven't already, sign up for their free program and take advantage of their many savings, best of all if you don't earn enough for an award that quarter, your points will go towards the next quarter, so you won't loose your hard earned points! Not only this store in Citrus Heights, but all Raleys in corporate needs to pay attention. Otherwise they will all close down eventually.. Raleys has this philosophy that they are better than everyone else else but quite honestly they are very overpriced ... for example take a look at the alcohol section, red wine specifically MeiomiPinot Noir .. their regular sales price is close to $32 for a bottle when I get it every day at Sam's Club for 17 bucks ... or how about egg bites? 399 for a package of two. ... I am giving this review based on the pharmacy services in this store. I found the pharmacy employees to be extremely unfriendly, not helpful, judgmental, and overall not a pharmacy I would recommend to the public. At the time of this review, I stopped all of my medications from being sent to this pharmacy due to the lack of customer service provided on numerous occasions by the employees that work at this pharmacy. There is one employee that has a serious chip on her shoulder, I do not know if she is a pharmacist or a technician. I was constantly given the run around had to have my doctor contact them and have not had several medication refills not completed as a result. I will no longer step foot in this Raley's based on the poor customer service I received. Go somewhere else to get your medications, especially if you have Medi-Cal. read more

Their bathroom are dirty from the homeless behind the building. Employees don't even clean their bathrooms daily. Go to a different Raley's if you want a cleaner bathroom. as I was trying to go to the bathroom, when I was finished, my cart was gone with my dinner and one of the employees accused me of stealing flowers when I try to explain to her that I was not stealing the bouquet of flowers. she assumed that I was a thief and didn't want me to have the flowers and she walked away and try to make me pay for it. She's being really rude and unprofessional telling me to leave the store and accusing me that I steal every time I'm there. I don't steal. I'm trying to buy food for my family. I had a horrible experience. I'd rather go to Dollar tree. The employee also thought I wasn't going to pay. The last week I tried to take my items that I already paid to the bathroom, but one of the cashier didn't let me do that when I already paid for My items. He only let me take my pregnancy test to the bathroom. They accuse me of being a thief when I pay with my food stamps and my own money. I've repeatedly shopped at this store but I won't anymore. Whenever I visit this store, I go away with EVERYTHING I've purchased including organic produce smelling like some kind of air freshener, detergent, or chemical. Even my own personal shopping bags get polluted by this horrible smell. I've gone back multiple times hoping it would change but it doesn't. Maybe some shoppers or employees don't notice it because they always have plug-in air fresheners in their home/car or they use scented dryer sheets but as someone who uses unscented products, I can definitely smell it. I don't know what kind of cleaners, perfumes, or pesticides they use in this store but it's REALLY bad. If you are someone who is sensitive to perfumes or other chemical smells, you'll want to consider shopping somewhere else. read more

I was having a very bad day and so I thought I wouulr treat myself to my favorite sandwich the med veggie and first off, the lady in the deli was so rude. She asked me if I needed something and I tried to order the sandwich and she cut me oFf half way through and said "5 minutes" which first of all I know it doesn't take that long to make a sandwich so that's wild. I get home and open up my sandwich and I get one pieve if lettuce this bread is hard there's nothing in this sandwich. This sandwich is over $6! After 34+ years of being a loyal Raleys shopper (at this location mostly) I won't be back. The staff has become increasingly rude, I sent a complaint to corporate and never heard back after being treated like absolute crap by a manager one morning when asking why the self checkout was so glitchy.... Which I only chose in the first place because the two people up front flat out ignored me while I stood there like an idiot. The selection in this store is minimal at best, it's like half the size of their new locations, they keep moving everything with no rhyme or reason, the employees are absolute garbage, I get better treatment at Walmart of all places which is incredibly sad. Their deli counter is a joke, no fresh meat choices here and most of the staff seem bothered to help to the point that I don't even try to get stuff from there any more. Honestly this place is like a generic ripoff of Raleys. Half the size, half the quality, half the effort... Meh. Speaking of half, I should also mention they have half of the store entrances closed during a pandemic so people are forced to enter and exit from the same door making social distancing impossible. When I asked an older gentleman (grayish hair, thin l, glasses) working there why they were closed he became incredibly defensive and agitated with my question to the point of light hostility, ranted something about people stealing and walked away... When we moved to C.H in 2016, we were glad to know there was a Raley's across the overpass from our home. In Fremont, the Raley's is huge and very nice! Not so much for this location. Wow. Tiny. Very old. Dated. Overpriced (must have a lot of theft). The first time I went in here I was shocked. Over the years, I had come to expect so much more from this chain. Guess my expectations were raised by living in Fremont my entire life and the beautiful store they have there. This place is just depressing. It needs an entire remodel. A real butcher counter would be nice-with actual ppl working it. The staff needs an attitude adjustment to learn how to be customer orientated. The prices are ridiculously higher by up to $2 on some products. The deli is lackluster in variety. Heck, the entire store is lackluster in variety! This is the Raley's I usually shop at and it's conveniently located off Antelope Rd & Lichen Dr 1 min away from the fwy. The produce is fresh and delicious and the options as far as products is always good. Mainly, however, I've always enjoyed the helpful staff and the prepared foods. But for whatever reason if you are going to this Raley's it is a good family oriented store with reasonable prices that won't disappoint you. What happened to customer service? It's totally disappeared. The one store I thought I could count on was Raleys. They do have higher prices but just to have someone treat me nice, I'd rather pay higher prices. Most Raley's offer wonderful customer service. I don't find that management offers this at this particular Raleys. If they could be more willing to be nicer and kinder, I would enjoy shopping there. But this Raley's has never offered it, not from the mangers. The check out people are kind and the guys who bag the groceries are kind too. Between the hours of 3 and 5 the lines are very long, most of the time. Maybe Raleys could give more hours to an employee so we don't have to wait in such long lines. All other Raleys has quality service and many lines open, except for this Raleys. It's just a suggestion... I'm sure the fault lies in corporate. Repeat: UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA! Growing tired of the employees standing around. ONE check stand is open with a LONG line. Had 9 items. Waited at the dreaded self-check because that's what you do at the Raley's on Lichen- YOU WAIT. The machine was slow and couldn't compute a basic tomato. The "large red tomato" option button was frozen in time. A short, heavy-weight, older lady with dark hair comes annoyed, asking if it's a tomato-on-the-vine, beefsteak, organic, etc. I say it's a basic tomato- no sticker. She tells everyone she can't remember the code. After that fiasco, it's time to weigh the green onions. I cuss and husband gets nervous. Meanwhile, the only cashier open now has the last customer in line- time well wasted at the self-check. The machine won't end the transaction without approval, go figure. Short-stack comes again and I thought we were going to rumble. When did going to the store for a few things become such an unpleasant, INHUMAN, malfunctioning burden on society?? read more

It's an older Raley's location but it's my home store and it doesn't bother me. I've been coming here since early 80s when I was a young child. I know most of the cashiers and the pharmacy techs know me by name. I love that! It is a smaller store than other locations but they have mostly everything except a meat counter. I come here nearly every day. I will go to Raley's over Walmart any day! I don't care if it's more expensive, my time and sanity is worth it! read more

Literally any time I use self check out I have somebody stopped me and ask for my receipt after they just watch me use the self check out. I am so sick of being accused of being a thief it is ridiculous! I don't know if there is somebody that looks like me that steals from this location or what the deal is but it is absolutely ridiculous that I am treated like a common criminal every time I come in the store. I am absolutely never shopping here again. I have shopped here since 1986 when our family moved here and I've never been more insulted than I have in the last year going to this location. I'm going to any place that isn't owned by Raleys after my experience here lately. I ALWAYS shop at this Raley's, but I don't imagine I will anymore. Yesterday evening, 12/23/21, I bought a package of bisquick, the last one on the shelf. When I opened it this morning, 12/24/21 I was shocked to find bugs in the sealed bag! Not just a few, either! Two very live ones right at the top, and several others inside just by shifting the bag back and forth (because I really wanted to make sure it wasn't my imagination). Come to find out they are weevils. Bugs that spread VERY easily and if found in your pantry would cause you to throw out all/most of our flour raleys food items because of how easy and quickly they spread. (This isn't mine or my mothers first time dealing with these. She's had a ton of experience with them before and knows the procedure. Plus with the help of google, I know all about them now too). I don't care about returning the product for a $4 return, but I did call to inform them of this issue that they more than likely have if there were that many in this box! Asking for the customer service or manager, the guy remained on the line (never got his name) who I informed of the situation. He proceeded to tell me how this is more than likely a very isolated incident and if the bag isn't fully sealed (I could barely get in it!) then the bugs could get in that way and it more than likely happened at the plant... dude, get real, if there are THAT many bugs from the time it takes to go from the plant to your store... you've got them in other food!!! Now, He did ask what he could do to help resolve the situation and make it better, to which I told him I just wanted to inform them so they could take care of things since this does actually spread quite easily and quite quickly. And he less than joyfully said he would be sure to examine the area. But I am highly doubtful anything is going to be done. And because of that doubt, I'm not going to continue to spend my money somewhere that isn't going to take care of the problem and end up buying more items with bugs inside and waste my money! I used the eCart pickup service at this branch on 7/1/19. I've done this dozens of times at several locations. Never anything more than minor problems. I will NEVER use this location again. The order hadn't been started when I arrived. He said it was a "glitch," and said he'd have it ready in 30 mins. We said ok and waited. And waited some more. 90 minutes later, it was finally ready. But then it turned out the battery was dead on the device used to process my debit card. So I had to go inside and pay. The whole while, the only apology offered was "It wasn't my fault-- it was a glitch." I kept saying the first 30 minutes wasn't a problem. It was the fact that he said 30 and it turned out to be 90. And even then, he could have texted to say it was taking longer. Nothing. I could have shopped it myself twice in the amount of time it took him. Worst ever customer service from a Raley's/Bel Air! UPDATE: Shortly after posting this, the manager called and apologized, and explained specific changes they would be making as a result of this experience. The Pharmacist is most unhelpful andfrom other reviews I see, rude as well. We are pulling ALL of our prescriptions out and will no longer shop here. I would NOT recommend this store!! I've been coming here for years never had an issue with this store The bleached blonde older woman who works in the evening was very rude to my baby and myself we went into her check out lane. it was the only one that was open, I had a lot of items; it seemed logical to just go into the check out lane She told me while scanning my items and in a nagging matter that her check out lane was closed (while scanning my items) and complaining that she was developing a line of customers I did apologized and told her that she could of told me to go the self check out lane before starting to scan my items before I went into her lane; i can go to the self check out lane if it bothered her so much to scan my items. If you really don't like to deal with customers in the checkout lane, I think you are in the wrong area of work. Also the self check out lane can be stressful too.. the guy at the self check out lane was hovering over me making sure I scanned every item. I normally love Raley's but, this one is just not a good experience I try to not to go to this one anymore. read more

Located off Antelope Road on Lichen, in a plaza with Fitness 19 and Round Table. They serve Peet's inside and they also have a USPS postal counter and Wells Fargo. We were sick for a short period and we'd go to this Raley's pretty much because it's one-stop shop. It has everything. I just thought it was weird that we'd get carded to buy OTC medicine. There's a few tables and chairs near the deli/Chinese hot food to sit and eat. We tried this "Loaded Potato Salad" from their deli and it's ridiculous.. Just like a cold loaded baked potato with sour cream, bacon, and cheese. It was a cool find. The first time I found thin bagels was at this Raley's. I find it with more ease at other supermarkets later. It seems that it's a promotional item and so they stick it on a stand anywhere it fits rather than where it would be more likely to be found-- like with other breads. I hate to have to hunt for it so now, I just buy it at Safeway.. where they keep it with other breads and I can find it. read more

I understand the remodel and having to search for my favorite items but when I got to the register I wasn't greeted by Jonah, not a single word was muttered from his mouth. Usually I get the "hey how are you today" by any cashier in the store. Not today. Best Grocery store in town when you take everything into account, quality meat, produce, customer service, selection etc. Stores are always clean and the vast majority of employees are friendly. Prices are competitive with Safeway, Save Mart, Nugget etc and many times with Wal Mart when items are on sale...but quality is far superior as is customer service to Wal Mart. read more

I placed an online order that was supposed to be delivered between 2-3 today. At 2:05, I called Customer Care. After asking about my order and being placed on hold, I was hung up on! I called back. same damn thing happened! I called back, a nice girl named Annie from a different store checked for me. She came back and said the Citrus Heights store it was coming from said they didn't have any drivers! She recommended we call them. Called and ask for a manager. We said we would pick our $198 order up. We were told it's on its way Okay. Received a text, our order was 31 minutes out, the driver was heading to the store. Called the store back. Asked for a manager. WS told there weren't any until tomorrow! Called custom care, talked to the very Rude Manager Monica. She said they didn't have our order! What! Back on hold!
