Whenever I go into Raleys, I go with a purpose. I had to hit the north Hills Raleys out in North area of town for something quick. I didn't know the layout of the store so I had to look around, but I love Raley's specials that they have. They have Monday's specials. The North Hills area Raleys has a Chinese food area, which I was very impressed with when I looked at it. They also have a chicken station with the cut, potato wedges, chicken, etc. Overall, I do like Raleys. read more

Bakery is absolutely terrible customer service. My daughter and I went To get an edible image printed which I just did a week prior. Two different older women staff claim to be managers and refused to print images of any type. They were extremely rude and nonprofessional. I do not recommend ever going to the bakery again or the store due to the experience I had. The girl upfront listen to me vent even agreed with me that they should print it, but they refused. As I walked away for the second time, some big fat goofy dude that works there in the bakery, started laughing. Extremely unprofessional. I will make sure this bakery gets no recommendations. Poor attitudes from poor life women and a goofy fat dude just trying to fit in with the mean girl Energy. read more

Normally no problems at Raleys except their prices are a bit higher than the other local grocery stores but I like their produce and can always get a parking spot. Today went to get some dark beer for my corned beef. Found the perfect one and got two bottles. Unfortunately they wouldn't sell me singles and I didn't want a six pack as it's not a beer I would drink. This is not good customer service and I left without beer to cook my dinner in. read more

I usually try to avoid this grocery store. Each time I come here, though the customer service is really good. The prices are too high to feed a family of seven. Also, I make a shopping list, however there is no Internet service once you get away from the front door. They are very long lines today for check out. My kids go to school close to here, and they had some good sales on London broil. $3.97 a pound. Also the Easter ham is a great price. 20 pound ham for $1.47 per pound. So, overall an average experience. Long wait in line, however I do love the fresh produce and the price on the meet. read more

Been shopping here for about 5 years and recently tried their Sizzling Wok Chinese food. I gotta say that their weekend cook (on today) is not only a talented chef but his customer service is excellent. He really deserves recognition. Most all of their checkers are quite good with the exception of the unprofessional teenagers on late during the week. My wife and I are regulars and overall pleased with the shopping experience and the variety, quality and freshness of their meats, fish and bakery. Although Smith's, Walmart, Grocery Outlet are nearby, Raley's stands out as the best. read more

Really nice to have a store like this in the north valleys. Fresh food with great sales and it has a great amount of speciality items too! I like to go in at night when there's less people, the closing managers are always so helpful when I need something and it's usually super quick trip. I'm new to Yelp, I usually leave Google reviews but I wanted to come and rate a few of my favorite places. This Raley's in North Valleys, particularly in the past few months, has really stepped up their game. Their sale items are always in stock and shelves are full and organized. The wait times are short, with management jumping on registers to help when needed. You never see that at Walmart and these other stores. Very friendly service as well, when you need assistance, they walk you there instead of sending you on a scavenger hunt. Prices are just about the same everywhere these days, so I often get generic brands. Raley's brand Italian Dry Salame is better than any name brand. Lastly, and people don't think of this too often, but there are never shopping carts floating around the parking lot. They are on it. I mention that because my car actually got a large dent by a shopping cart at a different store. These small details on customer care matter. So thank you! read more

I used to go to this store when I lived in the North Valley 15 years ago and I loved it. I visited yesterday and boy has it gone downhill. I thought Safeway in my hometown was expensive but this store takes the cake. Being in Reno with lots of competition for price, I didn't expect to see that kind of markup. I love that the store is easy to be in and out quickly, even if you grab two bags worth of things. One thing that I will say is, if you get brussels sprouts, cut them in half to make sure that there aren't any bugs. We had a few with quite a few bugs, and it was pretty gross! Not sure how they could prevent that, but probably something they should look into. Those were from our Friday shopping trip, last night was just for meat and something to drink. read more

I get to this store somewhat regularly for those specialty things you just can't find anywhere else. Every time I come, in greeted with a smile, asked how my day is going, and today, asked if anything fun was going on in my day. Aside from shopping and other day off stuff, nothing special. My only issue with this company as a whole is their retail strategy when it comes to putting things on ad. Markups you're compensate giving a discount is never my favorite retail strategy but sometimes they don't do it in areas that have a high sellout rate. Just my thoughts there being in previous retail management before in a grocery setting. All in all though, love this store and its crew. read more

I currently have no photo. But I wanted to review. This location has always been clean. Staff has been friendly. The Asian grill is always okay (I have had a few times where it seemed different than other locations). Overall, I am comfortable shopping here. Raley's has good sales. The Monday $5 deals are the best! Since March 18th, 2020, I have been sheltered in place. I wanted to protect my elderly parents as well as myself, from Covid 19. I noticed Raley's did delivery, so I did some online shopping. I was very pleased! This has eased grocery shopping so much. Their system works very well. read more

Bought a gift card there yesterday. bought it at 12pm and by 5pm the money was gone. called manager who told me to take it up with the gift card company, which, by the way is absolutely unreachable. i had the card for 5 hours, and by 5pm money was gone. they sell scam gift cards that are fraudulent. do not buy gift cards from rayleys. they will NOT help you amend the situation at all. all the gift cards are scam, beware people. read more

With the prices they are charging, I wonder why they haven't cleaned, painted or updated the place since 1986. The service was good, but their "sale" prices were still up to 3X higher than Smiths just down the street. I often shop at Raley's- North Hill. It is a lovely store and have everything I need. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The store is very clean, nice and well-maintained! This is one of my favorite stores in North Valleys. All of the sales associates are kind and helpful. I recently used their ecart service, which was so easy to do, and I was missing one item. They let me come pick up the missing item. Their products are decent quality and they are one of the only places I have found that still carries the Arizona Black & White teas. read more

Raleys in the north valley has really gone down hill in their pharmacy department. they take forever to fill a prescription and if you don't call and light a fire under them then your script is pushed to the back. and here's the latest, don't try buying a bottle of wine when you're picking up your script. they will tell they won't sell liquor with their meds because they don't "think it is right to mix them together "! if they just would have said they had no liquor license to sell liquor at the pharmacy then I would have understood. who do they think they are to pass judgement on us? I called and complained to the store manager. She said they get constant complaints about the pharmacy department and they are trying to fix it! I really like Raleys other than that. They are convenient, friendly, helpful, and clean and organized. Too bad their pharmacy sucks! read more

The produce and meats are some of the best you can get in a grocery store. The deli foods are fresh and not made or set out in a quantity that looks nasty half-way through the day. Coffee bar and deli are great to get the things you need. Love the staff. Always kind and helpful. read more

This Raley's is great because I love how they send me coupons for free stuff! They also sell things here that I can't find at my regular grocery store. I usually go here for specific items since I do find Raley's in general to be a little more on the expensive side. This specific Raley's located in Golden Valley always appears to be clean and well staffed with friendly people. I do wish they had self check out at this location, hopefully some day. read more

I visited this location for the first time today. I decided to get a few lunch items and let me share a few observations as I do stop at supermarkets for quick lunches. The chicken strips were fantastic, juicy and tasty. Not dried out like I am used to. The cake donuts were still moist at noon time, now I don't usually find that to be true but if I lived closer, I would get my donuts here. Finally the marinated mushrooms in the deli section are superb! Just a little hint of garlic and spices. Really great, my best experience yet in Reno. I'm one happy customer :). This is for Peets Coffee, I come in about 3 times a week (sometimes more) for an iced coffee. I love when Tammy is working the deli, she comes right over. Everyone pretends they dont see me..then after waiting 10 + mins someone will say "Be right there" as I keep waiting... finally a gal will slowly move her way towards me & will say "sorry for the wait" but isnt sincere & then... when I tell her what I want which is a White Choc Iced mocha with an extra shot with whip. She has a very confused look on her face.. and says..hold on I need some help. Not only is the wait time ridiculous, but then you have employees that are not trained in the department they are working. I really enjoy Peets coffee but I wont be in anymore unless I know Tammy is working! read more

This Raleys is pretty close to my house so I go to it often. Yes it's a bit pricey, but if you watch what your shopping for then you won't break the bank. The pharmacy is nice and I didn't have my wallet and I needed to pay for my daughters prescription and one of the pharmacists offered to pay. Soooo nice. I couldn't believe it. I thanked and thanked her. And of course I paid her back the next time I came in there. Another time I was shopping I forgot my wallet again. And I was buying dinner for us and a customer behind me paid for my groceries and said to just pay it forward. Amazing. Such great experiences here. Only thing is when there's long lines they need checkers and more baggers to help there checkers. read more

Three things about Raley's... #1) All of them in our area have amazing sandwiches. Get the "native grain" bread. #2) They all have the exact line/manufacturer of products I'm looking for. #3) This North Valleys location never seems to have enough checkers. Never - not once in 3 years. Just install some self checkout lines like any modern store to help with the continual cutting of the staff budget. Every time I go into this particular location (in 5 years this almost never happened to me at the Pyramid/McCarran location) I get my stuff in less than 10 minutes and have to wait another 20 in line. Same for the deli counter (at this particular Raley's). read more

This Raley's is by far my favorite grocery store in the Reno/Sparks area. I shop here about two times a week so I can stock up on produce. I love that they carry good quality food- organic food, and local food. They have some of the best produce in the area. I love that they sell local farm's produce (especially the cherry tomatoes when in season) And they have a huge selection of organic fruits and vegetables unlike other stores- even other Raley's stores in the area. I am always impressed with this store- they've never let me down! The only thing I wish they'd change is the fact that they don't have self checkout yet! But at least the staff is friendly so I won't complain! read more

The stores changed a lot since 2000. It looks nice however I wish the belt where you put your food up on was longer like Wal-Mart's or something. Most of the employees are kind but the bakery gets their cakes messed up a lot. read more

I really like this location, and the employees at the registers are always nice and ready to help. The meat department is always well stocked and clean. Another thing I like about this Raley's is the isles are nice and wide. parking is easy and the shopping carts are always brought up and kept inside out of the weather in the winter. read more
