The chicken is as good as it gets, perfect batter and execution. The fries, however, were the polar opposite. Undercooked, limp, hard to believe the contrast between the chicken and this mess that I couldn't eat after the first few bites. This is the suggestion part: Be sure the cooks know how to shake the basket and recognize when the regular fries are properly cooked and crisp. I read a lot of other reviews saying they had issues with the fries also. My second trip was via drive-thru and I ordered the amazing pastrami burger. Just incredible, really. I get why they're popular. Based on the first time I decided to try the curly fries to see if it would be a better outcome. It was, fortunately, and I think this is what I'll get henceforth, or onion rings, which are still untried. Anyhow, the girl at the window forgot to give me the drink and I'm still wondering how my bill reached $22, but I'll ask specifically next for the receipt and breakdown. Their burger is another win; I got it lettuce-wrapped, and it was so satisfying. I love that they pack it in a sturdy box instead of a paper bag. It kept everything together and totally mess-free. Major props to the kitchen for the excellent takeout presentation! Also, I really enjoy their fried zucchinis, it's one of my absolute favorites here. The staff behind the counter was welcoming and efficient. I had a good experience and I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out their breakfast menu.

I hope they grow and open more locations. My husband and I just drove an hour to get to the Riverside location. We're only able to come once a month because it's so far away. We would hit it once a month if it were closer, maybe more than once a month. Service is always great at this location. They have stickers and buttons available. The seating is bar stools at a counter inside the food lab. The food is amazing! It's always perfectly made and it hits the spot when we miss the Monty's plant-based chicken. The burgers are good. Love the fries and tots! Definitely do the "maxed out" tots or fries. Those are the best! I love the kale salad and add chicken on top. My husband loves the chicken burgers. One thing to note is that it doesn't come with fries but you do get a sizable three tenders instead of two that you'd get at other places so it's a fair trade off. Tenders were really good! Flavorful and super juicy. Medium was perfect for me as it packed a punch without being too spicy. I think I've gotten their brisket on other occasions which was solid as well. This is a good spot to dine in canyon crest plaza, one of my favorite plazas in the city. Can't go wrong here!

I'd definitely come back and order that again. I've come here on a previous visit but only to try their fries. The fries were okay but I did love their ranch dressing. Definitely worth the extra fee to dip the fries in ranch. They have a large menu so I hope to check them out again in the future.

The bathrooms are also always clean, so props there. A good small local chain, there's definitely variation between locations, but this one is well managed. Only 3 stars?
