I used to shop here more frequently, but now I stop in on the way home...since its on the way home. The market itself is okay, was renovated about four or five years ago on the inside to update it. Staff is mostly okay, but the parking and in and out of the lot can be precarious. Don't park in the row that is right up against the store next to the sidewalk, that is a definite zone of accidents as people don't stop when you are backing out. read more

Same mistakes keep happening at this Ralph's. The cashiers are unfriendly. 8 item order and they still manage to ring something up twice when I have only 1. Now I have to make a special trip back for refund. And I have forgiven this mistake a few times in the past. Definitely check your receipt before leaving this location. I shop here often, almost weekly and I have never had any issue with this place. Parking is spacious and easy to find parking no matter what time of the day. The area is fairly safe and located in a safe area. I never had any safety issue here Staff is courteous and helpful. I never had any issue with the staff and the staff appeared to be available whenever I was there for any questions or directions around the place. The price is decent. Quality is typical Ralph products. Expect nothing less. The items are listed in such a way that are easy to find. They are very organized and there are many options. I never had any issue looking for any items and not be able to find it here. I would return to this place for my groceries weekly shopping. No issue here whatsoever. read more

These are the most unfriendly humans I have ever encountered in my life. The only employees who are actually pleasant are the produce guy in the mornings, the lady who does the flowers, and the employees who bring out the groceries when there is a pickup order. I've been going to Ralph's for years and I'm done. You'd think the employees would build a rapport with regular customers but they don't. No hello, no eye contact, absolutely the most miserable people on the planet. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them for shopping there. I refuse to continue shopping there and am now a loyal shopper somewhere else. I don't know what has happened to my favorite grocery store but it is not properly stocked anymore. I have been trying to buy Toll House Cookies dough for 2 weeks and it stays empty. My coffee has not been in stock. Seasonal things. You better shop early or they will be out. When Frank was manager there the shelves were always stocked and there were no lines. Now they only have 2 or 3 cashiers. Always a line now. I'm so disappointed. read more

This store needs to introduce new and improved customer service training for some of their employees especially their cashiers! The store itself is pretty nice, prices are so so depending on what day you go and when they have their sales. I will NEVER go back to this Ralphs. I have been followed twice- my 12 year old child noticed, as well. And tonight a cashier, Patty, acted a complete fool when I attempted to have my child insert my card. I wear gloves to shop and simply asked my daughter to insert the card, while I touch the keypad with gloves to enter all of the information. My groceries included red wine to cook with, and while I did not consider that on camera it would look like a child is purchasing alcohol, Patty continued to ask me if my CHILD was over 21 years old. Clearly she is not. Instead of briefly explaining to me what it would LOOK like on camera and/or their policy, she kept badgering me about my child's age, then asked me if the card used was my card. I asked her if she wanted to see my ID to prove it was my card- not sure how it came to that. The entire exchange was unnecessary and insulting. Shame on you Patty! I will take my business and MY money elsewhere. This will be the last time I am made to feel uncomfortable in this store. read more

Cashiers Carmel and Amanda are rude and clearly don't take the customer service aspect of their jobs seriously. I alternate between this Ralphs and a nearby Stater Bros for my grocery shopping needs but I'm becoming more and more swayed to just abandon this location altogether, because aside from the blonde sales manager and the older male manager, all my employee interactions have been poor or mediocre. read more

This is the absolute worst market I've ever shopped at. Now they have ONE live checker with 10 people in line , box boys/girls who hvnt a clue where anything is, no one to bag groceries and they're not enforcing Covid rules at all. Over crowding in lines people shoving checkers not saying anything about it, matter of fact I noticed a person without a mask during the worst Covid. The Latino checker said im not doing anything. Worst customer service and the saddest part is that comes starts with their store manager. Really sad. Cashier Terri C. asked for assistance on a baby foid item to manager on duty and he did not even bothered to look up item at the shelves...he just kept repeting "whatever it says on the WIC booklet." It would been nice from to at least come over Terri's register to look on the booklet with her, since she obviously wasn't familiar with this type of transaction. Loved how organized products are, but their customer servicee fails to have me as loyal customer again. read more

This location is seriously lacking in all areas. Not too much variety, you pay a premium on groceries but they won't bag them if you bring your own bags. For reference, Stater Bros. will. Shelves lately have been very thin of product. Simple questions are answered very rudely and defensively by management. They have also taken away most checkers and pressure customers to use self checkout and when you do, not all promos from the Ralph's app adhere to the transaction. And they are not following current county guidelines on masking. Several people had NO mask. Even pre-COVID this location was horrid. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THERE IS ON EARTH! Called in before the 30 minute drive and waited 15 minutes on hold in which no one ever came on the line . Get there and the manager gave me a huge issue about buying 5 cans of baby formula when my ID clearly matched my certificates . After all the aggravation I left without the formula because I did not have the folder the certificate goes in even though my name matched my ID. Considering the fact I have 8 foster children drove 30 minutes , you would have thought she would have made an exception ! Disgusting customer service and seeing that they are a huge chain grocer they could at least have a proper answering system which would have avoided my drive and aggravation . read more

Selves are empty! Employees are not helpful. Worst of all they carry maybe 5 different kinds of large bags of dog food. Pet food isle has only small bags and a small selection at that. The cat section is larger than the frozen dinner isle. What happened to this store? Regional managers must be missing a trip here. I won't be back. read more

I was in the store tonight and an entire bag of groceries is missing. It was not in my cart, and I discovered the missing items when I got home. I called the store and talked to two different people that basically accused me of being a liar. One of them even told me that they don't have any female bagging people when in fact a female bagged my groceries, and I spoke to the female bagger on the phone when I called in. After shopping at the Canyon country location for years, and have been a good customer, I am shocked at how badly the manager Seythia treated me. Whatever happened to customer service? I was told she would not help me, and again, basically called a liar. I guess it was a good thing they were out of so many items on the shelves and had not bothered to restock, or else this could have costed me a lot more in groceries I did not receive. Not our usual Ralphs but they had everything going for them. Nice checker and bagger to keep our line moving. The store is kept well and had a nice flow of customers through the checkout lines. No complaints and will recommend and go back. read more

The other Ralphs locations in SCV are much nicer. The bakery and seafood areas are extremely minimal, which is a killer for me. If you want to go to Ralphs the two locations on McBean are far better. I really only come here out of convenience to my home, and then only when something I want is on a good sale. read more

I don't know what happened to this store. Maybe they have new management. Ever since they installed the self checkout which doesn't seem very "safe" for customers as we get packed into an area with about 8 registers in a 6x6 square foot place with others' carts and kids and family members and store staff. Checking and bagging our own groceries and paying prices that seem to have doubled since last year when we were asked to socially distance and wear masks. Cashiers are rude employees act like customers are in their way and don't even try to be polite as they cut you off with a huge pallet or block isles as they stock the shelves. The the manager I spoke to doesn't listen instead relays personal coronavirus stories instead of focusing on the long lines and the unnecessarily crowded self checkout area with no other registers open in the store. read more

I live literally down the street. I rarely come in because they are always rude. Today was no exception. Valerie didn't greet me. Didn't smile. I told her I can't remember my landline # can we change it to my cell number. She said do you have your card? Well if I had my card I wouldn't be asking to change to my cell number. I like to come in for the variety that they have. Have found some really good pricing on their products that I was shocked to see. That said there are the over priced stuff also. One item that brings me back is the low carb yogurt that they stock, tastes great and will not rocket my blood sugar!! This is the most convenient location to my home since albertsons changed to Vallarta market. However I'm usually disappointed by the selection of products. I'd like to request to the manager to stock more healthy options, specifically the Amy's Lean organic frozen line. You really only carry the lasagna however they have so many healthy options, like the polenta and Swiss chard, the gluten free bean burrito and so much more. If you can stick more of those products I'll switch back from stater brothers. read more

I had to speak to a manager as there was one item left for a buy one get one free and the manager Valerie was extremely rude telling us no and basically telling us to get out of the store. There is always a nicer way to reply with no if you don't want to do your job. I don't understand how a "manager" can be so rude. The workers are supposed to be The reflection of Ralph's morals in customer service and from the customer service I receive they have none!! I am not sure what qualifications she has to get that positions but she absolutely has zero people skills and zero professionalism and zero customer service. You can find some good sales here. The Customer Service and employees have improved over the years. However, their baggers still mess up all the time. There have been too many times where something heavy, such as cans, have been placed on top of my bread. I should not have to keep an eye on the baggers to make sure that they do their job correctly. read more

The oldest market in C.C. I've shopped at for 20+ years and I will never return again after my experience there today. Notoriously short of checkers and now THEY WON'T LET YOU USE DEBIT AS CREDIT unless you literally cancel the transaction 3 times and run a 4th time and IF your fraud protection doesn't deactivate your card you can use as credit. Absurd! They're saying that the corporation refused to pay the full measure for fraud protection on cards and that's why this is happening. As if that is not ridiculous enough when I returned home and opened my groceries the container of cake icing I bought had been opened and half-eaten and put back on the shelf that way.
