This was probably one of the most anticipated store openings for Santa Clarita, a second Trader Joe's location. Compared to other locations, this location is spacious with wide and long isles fully stocked with items. Even though it's crowded, you don't feel overwhelmed with people shopping. Parking is also a non-issue here since it has a large parking lot which provides plenty of spaces for parking. The best part is that this location is close to home, I can easily run to the store when I need to shop.

Today is opening day in Canyon country and the parking lot is packed. Samples are flowing, The checkout lines are actually moving. The staff has been super friendly, and despite the crowds, the shelves are well stocked and the staff is great. This is the second Store in Santa Clarita and it is nice that it will not have to take a trip across town to pick up my cheeses yogurts and specialty foods. Located in the Lowe's Golden Valley Plaza next to dollar tree

While I was in line, an elderly woman ahead of me was struggling to find her Amazon Prime number to receive her discount, holding up a long line in the process. The cashier, Opal, was extraordinarily patient. She didn't rush her, didn't sigh, and didn't treat her like an inconvenience. Instead, she calmly walked her through how to locate the number on her phone, ensured she received the savings she was entitled to, and graciously answered multiple questions afterward. It was genuine kindness -- not performative, not transactional -- just respectful and thoughtful service. What made it even more special was that the manager on duty, Gina, came over to bag groceries at our line. As Opal was ringing up my order, I asked Gina if she was Opal's manager. You could see a split-second look cross her face, as though she were bracing for a complaint. But I quickly told her that Opal had delivered exemplary customer service to the woman ahead of me. Gina was visibly relieved and appreciative when she realized it was praise. And Opal heard the whole exchange! It was such a sweet moment. In a world where people are quick to criticize and slow to compliment, this interaction truly stood out. Opal treated that customer with dignity and patience, and Gina clearly fosters a culture where that kind of service is encouraged. Whole Foods should be proud to have both of them.

I specifically always go to this store now for all my flower needs. I know how much love, care & attention Meredith always gives to all the beautiful flowers and her customers. I have been a loyal customer of this store for over 10 years. I have purchased hundreds of bouquets…read moreand countless other items here over the years. Yesterday's experience was so frustrating and upsetting that I honestly don't feel like returning anytime soon. I needed flowers for my niece's preschool graduation. Unfortunately, most of the bouquets in the floral department looked semi-wilted and far from fresh. After searching, I found one bouquet in a bucket that looked acceptable, but it needed wrapping. The bouquet was priced at $35. I asked the employee in the floral department, McKenzie, if she could add wrapping paper. She told me she could, but that it would be an extra charge. I was confused because every other bouquet in the department already had wrapping paper. After I questioned it, she reluctantly wrapped the flowers, but the result was rushed, sloppy, and unprofessional, with visible tape making the bouquet look unfinished and unattractive. I politely asked if she could at least add a short ribbon to cover the tape and make the bouquet look presentable for a graduation gift. She immediately said no and told me she would have to charge $5 for a small ribbon and send me off to front checkout although I always pay for flowers in the floral register . Throughout the interaction, her attitude was dismissive, rude, and unwelcoming. At one point, she even instructed me to stay behind the line in a manner that felt unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful. I asked her to check with a manager. She spoke to someone and returned saying the answer was still no. When I later spoke with a manager myself, I initially received little help. I was ready to leave the bouquet behind and walk out of the store when another manager stepped in and asked what had happened. I showed him the bouquet. To his credit, he immediately agreed that the wrapping was unacceptable and apologized for the experience. He personally escorted me back to the floral department and asked McKenzie to rewrap the bouquet properly and add a ribbon. Even then, McKenzie remained visibly annoyed. The way she handed the finished bouquet back to me felt almost as if she was throwing it at me. That was my final straw. I left the store feeling upset, shaken, and deeply disappointed. One employee's poor attitude can undo years of customer loyalty . I want to thank the manager who stepped in and resolved the issue professionally. Unfortunately, the behavior I experienced from McKenzie was some of the worst customer service I have encountered in a long time. Employees like this can seriously damage the welcoming atmosphere that has kept customers like me coming back for years.

THE WORST customer service from any grocery store in the Santa Clarita Valley…read more On Sunday, I went in and Frida was extremely rude. She had no sense of urgency when assisting customers. While I was waiting at the register for her to ring me up, the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say she'd be right with me, but instead she kept talking with her coworkers. Once she finally started ringing me up, she began grabbing the hand basket on the conveyor belt and mumbling to herself, seeming upset. I mentioned that everything I had was already rung up and that the basket wasn't mine. She then started shouting at me, saying she knew that. Then, when it came time for payment, she began shouting at me again because apparently I was "taking too long," even though the screen was prompting me to wait for the cashier. She kept yelling that she was waiting on me and telling me to "go." When I called the store to complain, the floor manager said she would pass the message along and that the store manager would reach out. Well, here we are four days later and still no call from the store manager. I have only visited this store a handful of times, and every experience has involved awful customer service. I will never shop here again. That was the last straw. If employees don't want to assist customers, then please consider adding self-checkout stations.
