This Ralphs usually has my baked goodies in stock when they run out at the Ralphs in Ventura. I also like to come here when the Supercenter Walmart runs out of some of the products I buy. I also like Ralphs because they have good-looking, good-tasting produce in stock. The prices are standard to a little high, so coming here is rare. While there is plenty of parking outside, the store inside has a small/cluttered feeling toward the front. It seems very cramped as workers are stocking items and the check stand area and nearby always seem cramped - even when there are only a few people. I always feel like there's something or someone in the way as I make my way to check out. Just be patient, and you'll most likely find what you want in stock! read more

Came to this Ralph's for a Hatch Chile Roasting event hosted by Ralph's, featuring Frieda's Hatch Chiles. Event was run so well that I had to write a review! We have been to other hatch chile roasting events and this one was run SO much BETTER. Ralph's was also giving out promotional jars of pickles! Plenty of easy, free parking. I just wanted to say Thank you to some of the employees at this store. Tama is the kindest and most helpful person all the time. Bobby and Junior in the meat department are amazing always. The two girls in the deli department are friendly and knowledgeable. Mary at the checkout counter is always smiling and we always have great conversations. I am new to Camarillo hut a long time customer of Ralph's, but the Ralph's Markets in WLA, MDR, El Segundo. The customer service varied but the shelves were well stocked, pharmacies were excellent. I even elected to get my vaccines at Ralph's in lieu of Kaiser as the pharmacists for the most part gave excellent shots. I went to this Ralph's in Camarillo and what a letdown. It is run down, poorly stocked, and they sadly have the aisles stocked when the store is filled with customers. I decided to use the pharmacy for my dog's autoimmune medication and was shocked when I arrived home and saw there was not a label affixed to the container. They had a vague label on the container, no patient name, no vet name, etc. They also had a label applied on top of the other label with a rubber band. This is not ok with me and in my opinion unprofessional. Between the messy aisles, stock people in the way, unprofessional people in the pharmacy (the check out person was very nice and helpful in the pharmacy however), I need to find a different Ralph's or a different grocery store altogether. read more

Yesterday I went to Ralph's to get a birthday card and an axe antiperspirant. My cousins live nearby one of the houses and that's the nearest place to go since the one in Saviers was temporarily closed. The employees are super chill and nice. Really good when your shopping for stuff! Everything in the store was good. Fruits are fresh and everything. The bathrooms looked absolutely gorgeous and clean. And shout out to the employee named Parker, who helped us get our items paid. And I forgot what the other one's name who helped us find the birthday cards. First off, I want the reader to know that this story is exactly how it happened, and I have not changed any part of it, and I was completely an innocent bystander who was actually in the midst of honoring a person I didn't know was insane. I've shopped in this store for twelve years. This place is managed by criminals. On the evening of September 26th, 2025, I shopped in this store. While waiting in line at the cashier, I heard the person directly in front of me comment that he had almost purchased the groceries he had the wrong way. Guessing, I asked him if he worked at Instacart. He said he did. In a very friendly manner, I told him I wanted to thank him and his co-workers who got us through the lockdown for years, risking their own lives, and that I always gave $15-$20 tips in gratitude. I said it was all so unknown; we didn't know how dangerous the virus was or how easily we could catch it. Then I mentioned that a lot of people think the whole thing was fake; that, that was like soldiers coming home from war and just because they survived, the whole war was fake. Then the conversation instantly went from highly friendly to bizarre when he turned and reprimanded me that it is extremely inappropriate to say that in a grocery store. . . He became hateful. I said that his feelings about that were peculiar, trying not to say the obvious about his mental state. He then walked over to me to threaten to beat me up, and went back to paying for his food. I said he was insane, and while leaving, he said he would fight me as soon as I left the store. I told him---and everything I said was calmly spoken---that he was a narcissist. As he left, I walked over to the manager, a big burly burly-looking guy---like Hoss Cartright---who was standing six feet away and caught the entire incident, and told him that I left my cell phone at home, and if he could call the police for me so I could go to my car. The response of this manager was to ignore me and walk away. I followed him and asked him again, saying I don't know if this crazy person has a gun. I was refused, and he nastily told me to go to the security guard. I asked if she was armed, and he again ignored me. I told him I would tell authorities, and he was going to lose his job. I am an elderly man, 72 years old, and being treated like this. I asked customers there if they would call the police for me, and they, too, ignored me. I told the manager that his job there was over, toast, etc. Then he and a little pint-sized pudgy assistant manager, apparently, took turns telling me to "GET OUT", in the nastiest tone and disrespect. I made it to my car and wasn't killed. I was growing my hair out long to harvest for someone who lost his hair tragically. I think that could have revealed the manager's bigotry. I started to report this to Kroger, but knew I had no witnesses, and, by the strength of their criminal behavior to an elderly person, knew that the standard operating procedure of these thugs would be to embellish with lies, my part in the story. I resort to the warning here. I also figured out that this thug manager was friends with this Instacart shopper who was out of his mind. The shopper comes there every day. That means he was protecting him, and they were running in felony crime together, concerning me. Before I retired, due to the necessary professionalism on my job, I had to, on numerous occasions, had to have a nationwide background check, of which I came out spotless. I've never been in trouble in my life, and my last ticket was over 40 years ago-----and I was a professional chauffeur for adult parties and autistic children for many years. read more

When I moved here eight years ago, this was a great store. A change in management and now there are never enough cashiers. Good luck trying to get someone to help you if you have a problem. I was overcharged today and spent too much time on it, finally said I wanted a refund, I was introduced to a woman that kept helping other people until I finally walked out. I am going to start driving across town to avoid this store. Time is money so this stop was a very expensive one. read more

Why is this store so dirty and run down? It needs a full make over, new registers etc. they are stained and marked and does anyone clean in this store? There is dust all around the registers? Ralph's is absolutely the most expensive store in Camarillo, the prices don't match the experience. The employees are nice, but won't go above and beyond. I asked the sushi chef for an avocado and tuna roll, he said, I can't make a label, so no. Okay, thanks. I live close and could eat sushi most days if they were in the least bit attentive. I let the manager know about the dirty register and she said to call corporate, she did not clean off the dirty area. Ralph employees are very nice and helpful. It's a small store with narrow aisles and at times it can be crowded. The checkout lines move fairly fast and the Kroger pay is very convenient. The food is comparable to what is in other markets. I find the store brands are just as good as name brands so I manage to save a little. read more

I don't frequent Camarillo, but found be myself in town to open Cok up supplies for a camping trip out on the coast at Pt. Mugu. The store was very busy, and the parking lot reflected that-- lots of cars sort of milling around d looking for a spot that was five stalls closer than the empty one towards the back (seriously? Get some steps in, Mildred.). In fact, my big truck almost felt a little tight navigating the sharp turns and slightly narrower parking spaces. I selected a spot near the back and walked in. Usual Ralph's-- lots of everything. Mysteriously had a little difficulty finding the random camping things I needed (hot beverage cups, for example). A few employees standing around in pairs chatting; I asked one to help and he was glad to do so. At the register, everything was more expensive than I remember in recent recollection, but that's just inflation for ya. The gal behind the counter couldn't tell me where to get propane, but a fellow in line helped me out... nice small town feel here, for a city that has grown a lot, even since I was a kid driving through here on my way to Santa Barbara. read more

I put 5 stars because of the care and wonderful customer service I receive when I go in, EVERY time I go in, particularly in the meat department. The clerk I try to always go to, Jennifer is just delightful and very knowledgeable when it comes to the do's and dont's when buying my chicken and meat- Ive learned she may not be there much longer, I hope this is incorrect. This store is nasty. The vegetables are always near expired. My wife was in there today and picked up a package of ground turkey that was slimy covered in some nasty sticky substance, and it was all over the package beneath it too. She even saw a chink of meat underneath the grille of the bottom of the meat display refrigerator...naaasty!! When the brought it up to the meat counter employee, tbey just went to wipe it down with a paper towel without even saying a word. That's just terrible. And I agree with all the comments about the narrow isles, the usless tags and the whole store frequently being out of items. Also the belts on the checkout lanes are always so filthy covered with spills! This is where we stack our food for god's sake!!! It seems this is the standard among the grocery stores in this town. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. I am also happy with the covid policies they followed. However. Everything is always more expensive than its local competitor, and, ever since I can remember, the "FRESH" produce being put out has either gone bad or is about to expire. On Sunday, the pomegranates were old, dry, and browning for $3.50. So I had to get the pre-packaged pomegranate seeds in the cup for $6.99, which is so expensive, but I needed it in my salad recipe. I ate it today and they taste rancid so I had to throw out the salad. This always happens!! I'm certain that the company's standards don't allow them to throw out old food, but I think they need to be more selective, or have a section and sale for expiring food. read more

This review is specifically for a birthday cake from the bakery dept. I mean hey... it's a birthday cake, so it's a bit "much" of me to be critical but I feel that I need to make everyone reading this aware of what happened. It was lovely of my daughter to purchase a birthday cake for me. It was a vanilla cake with chocolate on the inside and had both vanilla and blue frosting. It was blue alright.. I mean REALLY blue. I thought it looked a bit like Dodger Blue and was touched since there is no baseball as of this writing... but I digress. The cake was huge.. my daughter said they gave her a cake much larger than what she ordered which in a way came back to bite us. One of us in our party had more cake than the rest.. he had probably 4-5 nice size pieces over the 2-3 days since the big event. Well... and this is where you might want to shield the younger crowd from what's about to come..... let's just say the blue in the icing.. you know that icing I said was really blue.... well did you know when it mixes with brown it makes green? That's right.. a science experiment in his very toilet the next day.. and the day after that.. and the day after that too. So kids.. the moral of the story is... you might want to stick with plain birthday cake... or get something chocolate with no hint of colored icing. This has been a public service message. Ralph's enjoys a long history in Southern California. It began in the 1870s in Los Angeles. In 1997, Ralphs Grocery Company was sold to Fred Meyer, Inc. In October 1998, Fred Meyer merged with The Kroger Company, another supermarket retailer. The Ralphs brand was divested as a result of the merger but still remains Ralph's in name, on legal paper. Have no fear! Ralph's still has the same great customer service and products our families have come to love. This location is no exception. There are no rude employees, only rude customers. Each time I visit, I am amazed at the talent of the staff and management. (Pardon the personal narrative here) So much, that I have a favorite cashier and I have bought things and then handed them to the cashier or another employee to show my appreciation. There is no tip jar so what is there to stop me from handing my favorite cashier a bouquet of flowers to show my appreciation. You can easily navigate the store and find what you are looking for without a problem. While this may not be the biggest location of Ralph's, it is centrally located in Camarillo and has a number of great retail and restaurants nearby to offer one stop shopping and entertainment opportunities. They offer a wide array of organic products, gluten free and other dietary concerns. They sell sushi, florals, alcohol, tobacco and seasonal items. There is also Western Union for money orders and wiring money. They are open until 1AM nightly. There is plenty of ample parking. Please do not park horizontal. Those are no longer spaces, despite that people still park illegally like such. read more

The employees are great! That being said, the shopping experience has become increasingly awful. Every single aisle and endcap is merchandised within an inch of its life. Normally, two shoppers should be able to pass each other with their carts, but every aisle is littered with cardboard and metal displays that squeeze it down to a single lane. One shopper has to pull over to let another by. If a shopper stops right across from one of these displays, you're totally hosed until they move on. If you successfully make it from one end to the other, the end caps have displays sticking out even further into the front and back lanes. I feel sorry for handicapped shoppers who ride scooters because so many products on the shelves are blocked by these stupid displays, so it's hard for them to grab them. I'm guessing this is a corporate issue because companies pay a lot of money for positioning, but it's getting a little ridiculous and is starting to feel more like an indoor swapmeet. I recently visited a Stater Bros in Palm Desert, CA and their aisles are wide open. Why can't we have that? read more

I don't come here too often because parking is a pain to deal with. Ran in for a few items, PLACE IS PACKED! I mainly got some veggies, and quickly had my hands full. Looked around for some of those hand baskets but didn't see any. Would have been nice to be able to grab one instead of walking all the way back to the front. But whatever. I didn't have a lot of time to waste in here anyway, especially with it being so busy! I made due with what I could and kept all my items in my hands. What kind sucked is when I was in line the cashier took her phone out to check it. While she was in the middle of my transaction. Adi something? Not cool. We just moved to Camarillo and I'm so disappointed in the people who shop at this location without masks. I've asked the managers what their policy is.. it's a state mandate to wear a face covering in California until Feb 15, 2022... and that's their policy.. The store tells people to wear them but they refuse. Management allows them in. It's a small store so that's a problem. So come on people, stop making a political statement that puts the rest of us at risk. I saw a young dad with two little kids, all without masks, shopping for organic produce. I don't shop here often, but the staff has always been very helpful and hard working! They are always busy but maintain a professional attitude, from what I have seen. I left my cell phone in a cart outside today. Ran back in to get something when I realized, but a customer had picked up the cart. I let the manager know and she made an announcement right away. Took a few minutes but my phone was returned after the shopper heard the announcement. The employee working the self checkout was extremely busy. Probably could have used some help but he was constantly running back and forth, and was pleasant, friendly and efficient. Wow- this staff is amazing compared to most local area stores. This is my favorite grocery store in Camarillo! I usually come here twice a week -- once for my main grocery list, and then another time for all the stuff I forgot to include on my original list. I've come to know some of the cashiers over the years and, for the most part, they are very friendly. There is one chick that never smiles or says anything when I'm checking out, but I won't let this one bad apple spoil the whole barrel. Holiday rushes excluded, I've never had to wait for an unacceptable length of time. I think they have a rule here, that if there are more than 3 or 4 people in line, they will open up another lane so long as another employee is available. Sometimes the regular lanes are faster than the self-checkout lanes because some shoppers just don't know how to operate them properly. Gift cards = this is my go-to store when I'm in a pinch for a last-minute gift. They have the largest selection of gift cards out of all the stores in the area. Fuel rewards = earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Redeem points for up to 20 cents off per gallon at Shell gas stations. Keep an eye out for double point weekends! Automatically earn 20 cents off per gallon whenever you buy $100 worth of gift cards. Parking = if you go during peak hours, you will experience crowds at any grocery store, not just Ralphs. Avoid these peak times such as mid to late afternoons when shoppers are prepping for dinner and you won't have an issue. I tend to go early or late evenings. RALPHS VISA CREDIT CARD = when you're a cardmember, you receive extra points opportunities, special coupons, and my favorite part: $5 rewards certificates every quarter of the year for every 1000 points earned, and these points always build up faster than expected! FREE FRIDAYS = If you're a Ralphs Rewards member, check your email every Friday for the weekly freebie. Load the coupon to your card and pick up your free item on your next shopping trip. Awful deli experience today. At store around 4:30 PM Today. Third in line at deli counter. Two employees behind counter. They were having issues with one scale, other functional. Employee with short ponytail leaves with customers waiting. After about 5 min she comes back, takes my order then proceeds to leave again. Comes back but instead of fulfilling my order, plays around with broken scale. Doesn't say one word to me. Have to give other employee my order which was for one item. First employee doesn't say a word and when I confront her that she should at least have communicated to me that second employee was going to handle the order, completely ignores me! Then to top it off, had asked for 3/4 lb turkey and employee brings me 1/4 lb!!! Very poor service and complete lack of understanding as to what good customer service is. First of all, that post about the cockroach, I think there's grocery stores all over America with cockroaches due to the fact they get deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables in cardboard boxes off of delivery trucks from all over. So just do your due hygiene diligence at home no matter where you shop. When I went to this Ralph's, it was totally updated and more importantly easy to get my shopping cart around the aisles. When you have an updated grocery store, the new thing is to make the aisles super small. Not the case with this store. There's plenty of people out on Sunday morning putting stuff away saying hi and asking if they could help me. That's a lot more than what you get over at Sprouts. So someone is teaching them how to put stuff away and ask customers if they could be an assistant. I like that. Shopping carts were new and super clean! Thank you. read more

I like Ralphs for the same reason as I like Kroger, Quik Stop, and other members of the family--trust. I get what I expect and I'm pretty much always treated as though they want me in their stores or at the pump. I've been at a nearby motel and I haven't really eaten an evening meal for days (or nights). I was hungry for macaroni & cheese for some reason and walked to the deli section and one gentleman was cleaning a meat slicer and I didn't want to interrupt him, as the hand's meat can be sliced--I know. He came to help me as soon as he could. I got some Mac & Cheese, Mac & Beef, and Potato Wedges and he was helpful and informative. Some of the prices were missing but I had some idea of what they were. I took things to a cashier since the self-checkout lines were BUSY. Things went smoothly and I didn't bring a bag, but it wasn't a long walk. Eating in the motel room always feels a bit strange, but what could be more comforting than comfort food? read more

They were super friendly and exquisitely speedy especially Ara M. who checked my groceries- I would have to say a rare gem in accuracy and efficiency. I stopped going to other markets and now favor Ralph's. Why? No need to shop anywhere else. Reasonable to low prices on the things I buy most. I did a comparison between 3 other stores and Ralphs had the best prices overall. Their produce has a great selection. Apples always .99 cents per pound. Organic kale always .99 cents each. Great weekly sale items too. Meats are fresh and a fair price. I have special ordered cakes from the bakery here and they were well done and delicious. Items are always in stock. The store is always clean. Helpful and friendly employees. The Ralphs rewards program gives points from your purchase toward gas rewards. I use it often. Also, you are given points for bringing in your own bags. If you complete a store survey you will be given 50 points. Use your receipt for instructions. I have finally decided not to shop here unless absolutely necessary. It has become a source of frustration. It is seldom fully stocked. The aisles allow 1 customer or there is a traffic jam. I could overlook that if the merchandise was displayed well and the store was like so many other Ralph's that are bright and fully stocked. The selection is limited. Go to Marina del Rey or anywhere in that area and it is no more like our Camarillo Ralphs than the man in the moon. We stopped at one in Ladera Heights in Los Angeles and were shocked at how lovely it was and full of everything. Two weeks ago they were out of whole chickens. Went to Walmart and there were loads. Went to Vons and the same story. I could go on but the point is made. It is a terrible store. Please fix it. read more

The parking lot is a bit difficult because it's so busy and it's a little strangely organized, but the grocery store is fine and clean, with wide enough isles and a big variety of products. In checking out, the lines were short and moved quickly. I was just picking up a couple of things and it was an easy trip. A solid supermarket experience! I'm from Northern California so I'd neither been to or heard of Ralph's before coming down to Ventura County to visit some family! I was really impressed with their butcher counter. We got some nice steaks to go grill on a beautiful summer evening when we were here. Everything was pretty fairly priced and the store was logical enough that we could find everything with ease. Though I didn't interact with any of the staff besides the clerk at the register, I can assume that they're all perfectly friendly based on all the other reviews raving about the friendliness of the staff at this Ralph's location. I guess I've got a go-to grocery store for next time I'm down in Camarillo visiting my uncle! read more
