3lbs Ranchera Prime, 3 lbs Diesmillo Prime, 3lbs Ribs Prime for $100!
    Victor P.

I recently purchased there promo 3 lbs of Ranchera Prime, 3 lbs of Diesmillo Prime and 3 lbs of Ribs Prime and fed my entire Familia along with my wife's cousins who were visiting from out of town. Their hot food is top tier and if you want a delicacy, ask for their Chicharron Carnudo (pro tip, the earlier in the morning you go you can get it fresh). They always have amazing regional Mexican music playing and are extremely friendly and helpful. We love La Bodega.

A neighborhood market that serves authentic Mexican food. Order and pay at the counter and then shop the market for fresh meats, beautiful produce and spices. Service was friendly. The market was clean but be aware that aisles are narrow and it may be difficult for those who have accessibility limitations. I ordered the 3 taco plate with pollo, asada and carnitas. All were tender and flavorful. My son ordered the cabeza (translated meat from a cow's head) burrito. It was huge! The food was fresh and delicious.

    Bacon Breakfast burrito. It's huge

A staple in Camarillo. If you need to pick up Mexican ingredients, fresh produce, meats / fish and they also have a full service menu inside as well. This is actually one of my favorite breakfast burrito places and I usually get the bacon one. It's been a while since I've ordered one but I noticed it is more price wise but also they've made them a lot bigger. Protip is if you're planning to shop and get food. They make all the food fresh so go to the cashier and order first and get your receipt. Do your shopping and usually by the time you're done shopping and checked out your food should be ready soon. Note if it is crowded and backed up you will be waiting a bit , but the food here is solid and worth it. Produce and meat here are all really fresh and priced much better imo than any of the chain grocery stores in the area. Also they carry ingredients you won't find at grocery chain stores like cactus. It's not a big store but you can definitely whip up a bunch of meals from what they do carry. They also carry snacks, drinks, and they also make salsas.

The best breakfast burrito! I got mine with bacon. It was huge and so wonderfully tasty.

    Asada Fries

This place could be so much better. The people that work there are RUDE!!! Especially the girls at the register! I have been hung up on when trying to order take out, left on hold and forgotten about, they give me dirty looks EVERYTIME I go in there and I can't tell you how many times they have rolled their eyes at me. I kept coming back for meat because the meat guys aren't as bad, until today.... I asked for asada fries and they gave me bland asada, fries, minimal cheese and pieces of avocado lol. They said the fries came with guacamole but I got pieces of avocado! I asked for green salsa, there was no salsa! The meat guys told the cashier in Spanish that I wanted my money back cause I didn't get pieces of tomato in the avocado! If I'm paying for those little pieces of tomato to get mashed up into guac, then yes I expect them to do that! I got my money back and headed over to estabalos since they are the same owners. They gave me less than half the size they serve at la bodega but it was more expensive! Lol both of these stores (la bodega and estabalos) have gone downhill!

This is a crispy chicken taco with everything?

The hotel we stayed in was 5-8 minutes from this gem . I made it a point to show up early as to not have to fight crowds or parking. Parking was great and the perfect number of other people there. I walked, shopped and talked. I saw some awesome things and some things I had seen before. There was live music, old guy killing it on the guitar with a donation jar. The majority of the shops were very chill, very friendly, very happy to see a new face. And they could all tell I was from out of town, all the picture taking may have given it away. I tried the le soup's chocolate and almond croissant. It was great, the owner told me it was twice baked so it was be very flaky..messy.(this man knew what he was talking about, as it was good as it was messy) The beautiful flowers always get me going because we live in California and have such an awesome variety. I live in central CA and everything I would have purchased here would have died on the way home or when I got there. (105 temperatures are a regular thing here) The 2 places that had a line 5+ people long were the coffee shop and the fresh fish place. It's always interesting to see what people are into in different people in places are into. I will probably come back when I'm in the area again and I look forward to seeing even more great things!

Anyone who buys fresh produce knows that sometimes a papaya, jicama, or other fruit can look perfect on the outside but end up going bad on the inside--that's just nature. What sets this place apart is how they handle it. If you bring it to their attention, they'll happily replace it at no extra cost. The same goes for their farm-fresh eggs. They genuinely care about their customers and stand behind their products. Their eggs are local, high quality, and incredibly reasonably priced for what you're getting. The produce is always fresh, and their customer service is exceptional. They once gave us a rue plant that wasn't looking its best, and today it's absolutely thriving. Another thing we love is their beautiful sunflower bouquets. They're only $5 a bunch, which is already a great deal. Even better, if you stop by near closing and the sunflowers are fully opened and at the end of their display life, they'll often give them away for free rather than let them go to waste. It's clear that this is a family business that values quality, fairness, and their community. We keep coming back because we know we'll always be treated honestly and with kindness. Highly recommended!
