This Ralphs is ridiculously the worst supermarket I've ever been to , the cashiers cant seem to smile at all , there was only two checkouts open this morning and they were 15 items or less and then a rest were self check outs which I'm not comfortable using so i went to the 15 item line and get nothing but dirty looks from the employees that work there, needless to say I'm never shopping here again, how sad that even the big wigs were there and they couldn't even acknowledge any one they were to busy with arranging shelves ! read more

Went inside yesterday afternoon to buy sodas and snacks with a friend after school. When I was stopped by the very rude-unprofessional security guard. He came up to me and started telling me I needed to leave and "I knew the rules". Very confused I asked him what he was talking about and why I needed to leave, and he ignores me and says "white shirt". I continue to ask him what he is stopping me for, as I've never talked to him before and I'm not very sure what these rules he was saying were. He continued to ignore my questions and proceeded to interrupt me and describe a different person, thinking I was them?! I am very bothered, uncomfortable and frustrated by how I was treated. I've been buying snacks and food from this Ralph's for the past few months without any guard stopping me like I was some criminal. Luckily the CVS next door is a lot more respectful and knows how to treat their customers properly!!! read more

We just placed a delivery order-Veronica was our "grocer". This was the best decision we've made! Delivery happened same day-we we're prepared for 3-5 days. Ralph's was out of my favorite item but that was not a surprise-they're out of it on a regular basis! What a great job Veronica did, down to the bananas with a bit of green so they'll last a bit longer. Frozen we're frozen. Milk was cold. They earned more than 5 Stars for this. Once we got our wagon up to our condo we sanitized everything & put it away. Thank you Ralph's & Veronica for working so hard to protect everyone. Be safe. read more

Curb pickup service is great. The Ralphs staff are professional. The produce selected has been fresh and well chosen. They discuss any items that were out of stock and when substitutes are chosen, what they are and ask if that is acceptable. I have used other stores curb pickup services and this Ralph's is heads and shoulders above the rest. Wait is minimal, groceries are carefully packed and placed in my trunk each and every time. So slow and confusing. They now send people in droves to self-checkout. I'm sorry, are cashiers no longer a viable option for checking out? There can literally be one other person in line and they'll ask you to move on over to self-checkout. The self-checkout (registers?) are slow and often times they are unresponsive. If you mistype anything, or enter an incorrect phone number it takes 300 years for someone to notice that "you need assistance". Twice the register on the right has not given me change. I live in the area and this is my local store. I would come here often until about 3-4 months ago when I noticed that I was being over charged. One time the cashier let the person in front of me walk out and attempted to charge me for her purchases. After I told her 3 times that she was over charging me she corrected my purchase but never apologized and tried to brush it off as if were no biggie. Her manager came over to ask what was going on and her brushed him off also. 2 weeks later I went to purchase a few breakfast items and the cashier insulted me I then went to complain to the manager who was the same person as the 2 weeks prior. He listened and that about it. Never did he apologize or offer any thing to show me that I was a "valued" customer. I am reviewing the Starbucks inside of Ralph's because they don't have their own yelp page. The workers aren't Starbucks trained, rather they are already existing Ralph workers. The new Starbucks addition to the store seemed like a good idea until I ordered my first drink. The worker didn't understand when I ordered a mocha frap. At this point I just wanted to leave so I changed my order to something I normally get - 1/2 iced black tea & 1/2 iced coffee and she charged me for both drinks with the total exceeding 6 dollars. I ordered this concoction at multiple Starbucks location but she said I don't know how they operate. I understand they are new but this is just ridiculous. read more

I am shocked at some of the negative reviews left for this store. I come almost daily, I have found it to have the friendliest staff around, the produce department is amazing, always helpful picking out fruit. The cashiers are amazing, efficient, always listen to your concerns, and solve issues promptly. If there more than a couple of people in line, they open up a new one, and there's always self check out. I have been a customer at this Ralphs for over a decade and most of the employees have 0 customer service skills. I have had a number of problems with associates being rude and bias towards me because of how I look. But the reason Im never going back is what happened the other day. I had bought dinner and I needed to use the restroom. I am in the bathroom for maybe 10 minutes when all of suddenly an associate named Max comes in and starts banging on the stall. I mean, really banging so much it shook the entire stall. "Come on. Gotta go. Right now" I was shocked. Like, I just bought food and I was going to the bathroom. I told him to buzz off and I will come out when I'm done. That's when the manager, Cyndie chimed in "well, we can call the cops" I have been in there for less then 15 minutes. I had a stomach ache and was having issues...like they can't treat customers like this. Also, that Cyndie lady is racist. I have seen her accuse black customer's of shop lifting multiple times and each time it turned out they werent. Ralphs needs to seriously retrain or just get a new cast of associates who know how to be descent people. There are only 2 associates that actually do their job and are friendly and helpful. The first one is Amy from the deli, she is super sweet and she always has a smile, she always helps out with any questions or issues customers have even if it's not her department. She is a great employee and the second one is Eli, a courtesy clerk. He too, always has a friendly smile and always willing to help out. He goes above and beyond his job duties plus he is always dancing around which just sets off positive vibes. I did contact corporate about Max and Cyndie and they assured me they will be delt with. So once I see that they are no longer at that store, I will return. read more

If I knew every single person's name by heart, I would probably give good ratings to more, if not all the employees because there's quite a few people here that are very nice. I was at Chatsworth Ralphs location from apx 9:30 am to 10:30 am today Friday 09/04/2020. I notice that the milk section was not well restock and there was an old lady keep walking back and forth waiting, I opened the door of the fridge and ask one of the employee inside if they have the milk which i need, she said that she is working on restock, and in about 30 minutes later, i came back the milk section is getting more empty and the old lady is still there waiting. This store was so crowded with 1/2 of the people are their employees who are working on restock the shelves and 1/2 are customers. I saw some of the male employees have masks under the nose and of course there are also customers had masks under the nose. I went in yesterday and there are very few measures this store is taking to protect its customers from Covid 19. The carts and baskets aren't sanitized and there are no disinfectant wipes available. There were customers wearing their masks below the nose, and even one wearing it on her chin; no one said anything to them. There are no signs or directions as to where to stand at the register. Smart and Final has very clear signs and markings letting you know what to do, but not here. The employees wear whatever they feel like to cover their face, there are no standard masks for them, so one of them for instance, was wearing a bandana tied around his face. Bandanas offer no protection to the customer or anyone else for that matter. I arrived at the register and stood where one normally stands to wait to pay. My cashier had one of those very thick cloth masks and when she spoke you could barely make out what she was saying. Since I didn't understand her the first time, she repeated to me that I couldn't stand there but that I had to stand to her right. OK, I moved. Then she mumbled something else. After repeating it I got something having to do with my shopping bag. I told her, "Don't worry, I'm packing my own things." Then she mumbled again that my shopping bag shouldn't have been inside the basket. How am I supposed to know that when they have zero signs telling you what to do. Other stores allow me to bring my bags and place them in the basket as long as I pack my own groceries. This is just one of many reasons why I hardly ever shop at this store. read more

The outside entrance area is always trashy and dirty. The majority of the carts are broken and not usable. I go there 4-5 times a week and it is consistently a mess. Why does Ralphs pay people who obviously do not want to work for them? I wanted some speciality cheese and found most of the cheeses were not priced. I choice 2 along with a lot of other items. When I went to cash out, I asked the cashier how much the 2 cheeses were as nothing is priced, Lucretia L. Responded with "ralphs card"'she then checked the price and asked me if I wanted them, I told her yes but they really should be priced. No response. I would complain to a manager but her tag said sales manager, why it didn't also say " I hate my job and wish everyone would die" An elderly gentlemen was buying several packs of soft drinks. He brought up the Ralph's circular to show the price and used his club card. He was charged $30.00 over a manger came but re did his order and got the price down when he said it's still not right, which it wasn't the manager says well you didn't take the coupons off each pack. Since that one closed I've been going here and it has become my favorite Ralphs because they always have a special on beer and whiskey...and even though they don't sell alcohol 24hrs a day, they do sell gum and green tea :) haha yup read more

I am truly outraged at this store. I have been to multiple Ralph's in this valley and by far this one truly ruined it. I go to every ralphs in the valley and by far i am shocked the main plaza district ralphs in granada is under employed. During lunch rush i was okay with waiting for my turn to get my lunch later after 30 mins of waiting found out they dont have the dinner plate menu (even the smallest ralphs has one)I was cool with it so after my search i asked if they could help me find the premade sandwhiches and one of them took me there. Later to find out while bringing my hopes up there is food during lunch rush...nothing...so at this point of course im disappointed..the mangement need to hire more employees and stop pushing the employees above limits or management is saving money and not bothering to make a change. If i ever intended to shop at granadas ralphs again i will still feel the same nostalgic i had since high school but will be i happy customer?...i mean i wrote this review on the way to porter ranch..... I love this Ralphs location especially because unlike others that do a lot of self check out and no cashiers, this location has enough cashiers and when they don't they are on task about it. The people from the produce department are always helpful. The lady that usually runs the flowers and balloons is so nice and friendly. Managers and cashiers are always friendly and willing to assist you. 10+ years shopping here and haven't been disappointed yet. This store is conveniently located midway between the SCV & the West SFV. I stop in often to grab a few items. The store always seems tidy enough to me. There are many deli-style selections which is nice for last minute meals. A lot of the parking spaces seem small to me, but there is ample parking in this shopping center. Ralphs perpetually offers wine at 30% off when you buy six or more bottles. But occasionally they have a three or four-day sale where you get an additional 10% off if you buy 12. They had one of these sales from 11/8/17 through 11/11/17. I stopped at the Ralphs at Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue on 11/9/17 to pick up 12 bottles because I was with my wife and daughter who were shopping across the street at Sprout's. Ralphs only had three bottles of the wine I wanted on hand. You would think that when the minimum purchase is 12 they would have at least 12. They suggested that I go back again the following day because they would be getting more that night. I explained that I lived 8 miles away and did not want to make a 16-mile round trip just to save a few bucks. And there was no guarantee that they would actually have it. I asked for a rain check so that I could stop by the next time I was in that area, which I am about once a week. They graciously gave me a rain check. I stopped by again on 11/14/17 and they still only had a few bottles. I asked them to check if they had any more in the back. After 30 minutes of standing and waiting at the front of the store an employee said they only had a few bottles, but that three cases were coming in that night and would be available the following day. I explained that I wouldn't be back in that part of town until the following week and asked him if he could hold it for me. He said he would put a note on it, but never asked my name, phone number, or other information. Two days later on 11/16/17 I called to see if the wine had come in. It hadn't. After going through two or three different people an employee came on the line and said that the next time I wanted to buy that much wine I should special order it. I told him that no one had suggested that or offered to do so, and that I had been told that they would definitely have three cases with one reserved for me. He suggested I take the rain check to a different store and have them special order it. On 11/19/19 I was in Simi Valley where I often go to visit my son. I stopped in to the Ralphs there and tried to special order the wine. The cashier said they would not do it because the rain check was from a different store and that I needed to go back to the store that issued the rain check. I told them that that store suggested I special order the wine through another store. The cashier said they still would not special order it for me and that I should go back to the original store (almost 20 miles away) and have them special order it. I told her to forget it, that I would just go to Costco and buy it there since it's only 18 cents more per bottle and they always have plenty of it. So much for customer service. read more

Seda the manager puts the Care in customer service and even other customers agree they are much better than the starbucks across the street in all areas. this review applies to the service deli only. cleanliness and customer service are not priorities? i was going to purchase a pound of vegan "winter salad" .. wheat berry, cranberries, nuts. while i was waiting for my turn (10 minutes), i observed the person working that dept. was wearing plastic gloves and touching everything in sight - her face, hair, the exterior top and sides of the display case, a pencil... so when it was my turn i asked for the winter salad, and added, "before fulfilling my order will you kindly put on a new pair of gloves, because while i was waiting i saw you touch a few unsanitary things." her response: "the only thing i am going to touch is the spoon." she turned away and walked over to the stack of empty containers and lids. my stomach turned as i saw her pick up (with those unsanitary gloved hands) one of each, and return to the area of the winter salad and me. before picking up the spoon, she proceeded to touch the rim, sides, and bottom of the as-yet-empty container and the underside of the lid. at this point i said to her, "nevermind. you just manhandled my container with filthy gloves, despite the fact that i requested that you put on a new pair because i saw you touch your hair, face and the counter with that pair you're wearing. you lost a sale." as i walked away, i saw her put the container BACK IN THE STACK for the next customer. eww. gross. read more

Sushi woman came up to me at self checkout accusing me of not paying for 2 sushi plates when I was making a separate transaction for both. Came all up in my face and kept on trying to make me pay in one transaction and telling me that I haven't paid and that I was gonna steal. Thank god for the lady running the self checkout or that woman would've kept harassing telling me I was stealing. Not the first time either. I've been there a few times and the woman always mad dogs me and everytime I take a platter she would go and check. This time she got up in my face. Never buying sushi from her again. Yolanda was the worst cashier I have ever had the pleasure of checking out with. She is rude, impatient, aggressive, called me retarded to another customer and truly unprofessional and inexperienced. My experience here was inexcusable. Stacy was a much more pleasant experience. But still does not excuse Yolanda's rude behavior. I have never and probably will never have a cashier or any person in any customer service position call me retarded to another customer.
