Ordered a pork butt that was cut by the butcher. It was priced $2.49 a pound but they charged $7.99 a pound on my package. When I asked the Butcher about the discrepancy, I got a snippy answer back saying the extra 550 a pound is in labor and fat trim. Check your receipts! I've shopped here three times in the past couple of weeks, and every visit has included pricing errors. Each time, I've had to call a manager over to correct the sale prices. What's even more frustrating is that every time I've been told I misread the promotion or that the items weren't included. The sale signs are clear about which products qualify, which is exactly why I purchased them. Each time, the prices were eventually corrected, but only after I had to question them. It's frustrating and inconvenient when you're just trying to get in and out. Customers shouldn't have to double-check every item or argue to receive the advertised price. The aisles are wide, the shelves are neatly stocked, and everything just makes sense. Need a specific ingredient? You'll actually find it without playing a guessing game. Compared to some other Albertsons in the area, this store feels like it's operating on a whole different level. The produce is fresh, the selection is solid, and even the checkout process is smooth. The staff here are just as efficient as the store itself--friendly without being overbearing, and quick to help if you need it. No complaints. 5/5 - This is how grocery shopping should be. I had a very disturbing experience at this Albertsons location. I was verbally harassed and aggressively confronted in the parking lot by a store manager named Jayson. My friends and I were waiting in front of the Pokémon vending machine for a couple minutes, as customers normally do. A store employee who appeared to be off shift came outside and started aggressively confronting us. He repeatedly tried to provoke us by asking mocking questions like whether we even had jobs and how much money we supposedly make buying Pokémon cards. We never touched him, never insulted him, and did not escalate the situation. After realizing the interaction was pointless, we left and sat in our car in the parking lot. About 10 minutes later, a manager wearing an Albertsons badge (name tag: Jayson) approached our car in the parking lot and began confronting us at the driver-side window. He immediately started accusing us of "harassing" his employees even though the employee had been the one initiating the confrontation inside the store. Jayson then said things like "Yeah I'm off the clock and I got a problem with you now" and continued escalating the situation while standing directly next to our car. At one point he even gave us the middle finger and said "I will fuck you" while wearing his Albertsons badge. We were sitting in our car and not engaging with anyone when this manager decided to come into the parking lot and escalate the situation. It appeared that the manager Jason was protecting the employee who had initially confronted us, while that employee repeatedly accessed the Pokémon vending machine during his shift. Customers who were waiting were effectively blocked from purchasing while the employee continued operating the machine. I have photo evidence of this behavior. Customers should not have to deal with store employees or managers confronting them in the parking lot and using abusive language. This was extremely unprofessional and completely unacceptable behavior from a store manager. Albertsons corporate should seriously investigate what is going on at this location. read more

Staff are so friendly here! There's numerous employees who I see on a regular basis and chat with sometimes, and they're all truly amazing! Store is clean and they have a great variety of items. This is by far my favorite Albertsons location to visit! read more

When shopping at this Albertsons, I receive terrific customer service from all employees, but especially at the service deli and produce departments. They are very knowledgeable and answer all of my questions. The store manager, Phil, is also always stocking on the salesfloor or cashiering, which I appreciate because I can checkout faster. I went in looking for a big bottle of aloe vera juice (which i get at my local albertsons). I didn't see it, so i asked an employee. He pointed me to a general area of the store, where the product might be. It wasn't there. I went to go check out with some other items. There were two registers open with people with huge carts in those lines. I only had three items, but i got in line behind one of these huge carts. The employee working the register was not there, and took about three minutes to return. After waiting behind this person being checked out for about 5 minutes, an employee came and took the person behind me to a register they were opening, stating "since you're next in line, come with me". It's not like i had 30 items already taken out of my cart. I had 3 items, and i was next in line. This is not a problem specific to this location. This happens at my local albertsons as well, but it is extremely annoying. Please review protocol with your employees. read more

I absolutely love shopping here. I've been coming to this store for a while now. The employees bring me so much enjoyment to my shopping experience. Alberstons has some of the freshest produce I've seen lately and Manny is always so helpful in finding the best items. The front end staff has always been cheery, especially the newer manager Leicey. She's a firecracker that one, excellent move hiring her. Of course nothing is "perfect" though. If there was to anything to complain about; I'd have to say it's the special wine tastings. I always seem to miss them. In fact, about a month ago I saw a gentleman setting up and by the time I made my rounds and headed back over to try something new, he was already breaking down. I couldn't have been in the store more than an hour... but that doesn't necessarily fall on the store. In conclusion - the Laguna Nigel store is my top choice for my grocery needs. read more

I have been shopping here for the last 5 years. It's 5 minutes from where I live. Everyone is so nice, they know my name and I know most of the employees. Just want to say thank you to Michael for helping me get 2 cases of water to my car. It's warm today about 90 degrees. Employees are all so friendly and helpful. The self check lines have been long, I don't even want to know if ppl are honest. Trader Joe's doesn't have self check out and Walmart doesn't either. Sometimes loss could be more than hiring checkers. I am old school, I want the personal touch, everything doesn't have to be digital & electronic. I don't want to talk to machines & robots. I appreciate all the friendly & helpful environment here from the employees. read more

I can walk to this Albertsons on Marina Hills and Golden Lantern and there at least once a day, so I know most the staff who are great except for the meat department. They are the most unhelpful staff, they are never out front and always in the back Many times I left because I never saw them and couldn't wait. The product/meat presentation is unattractive and sparse. A true minimalist operation. Go to Albertsons meat department on Alicia in Laguna Niguel and you will see a noticeable difference in all areas. Very friendly, helpful and present. Much bigger selection and the presentation is attractive. Not sure why there is such a discrepancy, so for meats go to the Alicia store. read more

Rude employees. Have no knowledge of what they do there. Asked cashier if they do cash back with tap to pay, I'm not sure you'll have to try she says. So I grab a coke and tap to pay no cash back option, I say well it didn't work, I don't want the coke since I didn't get cash back can I get a refund. Then she tells me they don't do refunds on tap to pay. Complete waste of my time. So I walked out with a coke I didn't want and no cash. They should train their employees better and if they don't know something they should ask. I should've asked someone else but since she was on the cashier I thought she knew. read more

this Albertsons is probably the closest grocery store I have to me, it's very convenient to me, I probably go here everyday to get something, I did notice something everyday I go the rude manger or whoever she is but she seem important by the way she talks to her employees, i didn't get her name but I can describe her she's always in a low bun black hair and has the most nastiest attitude ever, not even one smile she gives or a welcoming face, always has a Bface, I work in the customer service industry and it's so sad to see rude management around the stores they make it seem like they hate there job, and I'm sure these employees can say the same thing about her by the way she talks to her employees by the way she stands around making it seem like I'm stealing something. Nothing more irritating then looking for an open place online and it being wrong. Drove here at 10:15 and it was already closed when online it said it was open for another 45min. I live a block from here so I've been shopping here for many years but now the digital coupons are driving me crazy. You have to check each item you need to buy on the app to see if there's a coupon or stand in the aisles and try to click the coupons while you're shopping. I forget or miss items all the time so I spend more than I need to. I'm now going to stater brothers even tho it's much farther away because they give you all the coupons if you have an account and just enter your phone number on the keypad at checkout. I complained to the manager at Albertsons that their system discriminates against seniors as some are not tech savvy. She replied that Albertsons doesn't care. read more

I bought a Nordstrom's gift card at this Albertsons location and later was informed by my friend that the card had a 0 balance. I went back to the store to report the issue and show proof of purchase and the gave me a number and informed me of their policy which basically claims they will not issue refunds. Don't buy gift cards at this location. read more

I bought corn, tomatoes, and lobster tails for dinner. Got home home and started preparing the food, the lobster tails were brown and rotting, absolutely DISGUSTING. And the tomatoes were MOLDY. Massud in the deli is one of the most amazing employee here ! He always goes above and beyond with my orders. And he always has a smile on his face. When others unfortunately aren't that way here. Doesn't follow social distancing measures and have lines through the freezer aisle not spaced out. Store refused to do anything. Said I could leave if I'm not happy even though it's a public mandate. This is my neighborhood store, I don't feel safe going there. I feel like calling the state of California and having your stores closed if this continues because it's every store you operate down here, and I'm being tired of being told what to do abs then your company not even following it or keeping people safe. I just went to the store and spent $300. I asked somebody where something is they pointed to the area they don't know I went through the checkout stand and I had downloaded the app and I was clipping the coupons on the app, and then the I told One of the checkers and they said sorry you can't do that and I said well saving me $27 and they said well I'm gonna have to re-scan everything you have to do this first which I did exactly what I was supposed to do. The service is extremely poor, everybody looks miserable working there nobody smiling. It's a horrible place and it's frustrating. Spending $300 somewhere where even employees hate to be everything is overpriced there's moldy fruit in produce it's horrible. It's absolutely horrible. read more

I frequent this store's bakery a couple times a month at like ten am to pick up cheese bread. Unfortunately the young lady in the bakery department has consistently been short with me and rude. If I would have left a review last night, I would have not been so generous giving nice happy stars like right now, In Fact I would have probably given a 1 or 2 stars, And a few choice words about my experience, but I waited until today to return back hoping to resolve the problems from last night, I expected friction and a battle with no resolve, So I got prepared for a battle had all my receipts prepared, took pictures, and walked in with a chip on my shoulder and a bad attitude like an Ass, When I went to customer service, I was greeted within like .06 Seconds by The customer service Rep, Who for the life of me can't remember her name, ( I'm so Sorry) Was so helpful professional and kind, She didn't blow me off or tell me Sorry can't help you, She was able to correct my issue in a few minutes, Next she had one of the cashiers name Joy ( After meeting her you would see how absolutely fitting her name is ) Assist me in getting my money back thus giving me 100% satisfaction in how completely quick and easy my issue was handled and How they really went out of their way to help me, I decided to do a little shopping and headed to the meat and fish department, not expecting lightning to strike 3x's with being treated nicely by employee's I was assisted by C.J, who could not have been any more helpful and cool, He was able to answer all my dumb questions about some of the fish and beef cuts and gave me some suggestions that turned out being A+++++ He knew just what I was looking for even before I did!! After that I was greeted with friendly smiles by about 3 different workers and asked if I needed help finding anything ? Even the manager couldn't have been nicer and helpful, I must have been at a different store or dreamt about how awful this store was last night because based on my experience today, I couldn't have been more wrong about almost giving them 1 star because after today I'd rate those who helped me today All 10+ and will refer my friends and family to this Albertsons and long as they keep employing staff like the coolest crew today.. Clean store, friendly service. They Now charge for plastic bags. Started 12am day of election. .15 cents for plastic, .10 cents for paper. Bring your own bags! I go here for their ceaser salad, I like it. But customer service depends on what time of day you go. Day time good, later at night? Different story: deli location! Bakery: is better.
