I order curbside pickup every week or two and it's been a lifesaver! Anthony (I hope this is his name, if not, I'm a jerk) is usually the team member that helps me and he's wonderful. Even when the orders were running late because he was by himself, he did his best to fill my order with the correct items and even gave me a nice discount for the wait. Tbh, I don't mind waiting since it's safer and way less stressful than shopping in person. I appreciate you guys! read more

Been shopping here for 20 years. Always found what I need and the produce is always fresh. Don't think it's the employees job to enforce mask rules these days. That's a full time job with all the inconsiderate people out there. Hopefully things will get better for everybody in 2021 read more

This store is so conveniently located... but it is in a sketchy part of town and I don't feel safe in the parking lot because of the neighborhood. That being said, once you get inside it's really nice, clean, and the employees are some of the best around. Great customer service - they greet you with a smile and are happy to chat while they ring you up. They mark down pastries and meat about to expire so sometimes you get a steal of a deal! They're really diligent making sure their items are fresh... if it's getting close to expiration they mark it way, way down and once it's expired it's gone. It's well-staffed. Love their book section and the seasonal items. read more

I'm from out of town, first San Bernardino grocery store experience. I just needed to pick something up for a quick dinner before heading to my Airbnb. There is plenty of parking and the product on the shelves is well stocked. The store is pretty clean too, and the lady that checked me out was very quick and friendly. All the workers seemed friendly. I'd come back. read more

Did not like this store, or the (I think) manager in it. We stopped on the way to Vegas to pick up some road trip food. I had a Ralph's card, but apparently the number I thought was associated with it was wrong. Since we had two screaming and restless toddlers with us, I asked her if she could just give us a card to use. She said no. I asked for a new application - and she was like "That's the right answer" and handed me one. She practically insisted that I fill the darn form out and then and there. I told her we didn't live around here and were just passing through town. She finally, FINALLY conceded that I didn't have to fill the darn thing out.... Here's my thought. I'm sure she has a job to do and was following some sort of protocol. But you can do that to the detriment of providing good customer service. Good service is giving us the discount and letting us get outta there - not demanding that it be finished up on the spot when you see two (literally) screaming kids itching to get out of the store. She already gave me the discount. We were already bagged up. Just save it. Let me take it with me. She eventually did, but it was seriously and obviously without wanting to. Customer service is about meeting your customers needs and making them want to come back. I don't want to come back. Ever. Now lady, go talk with your bagger about your upcoming wedding and what kind of dress you will be wearing some more. I wonder if that's protocol? Does Ralph's want you to greet and speak to your customers, only enforcing rules and causing them grief, or are they totally stoked on you yapping it up with your co-workers about personal plans instead of engaging with your customers. Hmmmm. read more

I live pretty close to this grocery store, and I really wish it was a Stater Bros instead. Ever since this store became a Ralphs (it started off as a "Hughes" grocery store) the grocery selection has been dodgy. What I mean by that is their primary provider is Kroger Foods, who make everything from "Is this really bacon?!" type meats to "Oatmeal is already not very tasty, how do you get this wrong!" The prices are too high for many of their items, ESPECIALLY the coffee! Goodness. There is a Stater Bros location less than three miles from this Ralphs location, and I would advise anyone looking to pay a reasonable price for groceries and quality foods to visit the Stater Bros instead. read more

If you want to visit the best Ralph's then I highly recommend that you visit this one. The associate names Saul was very helpful and made my shopping experience a 10/10. He helped me look for everything I needed and even helped me put my groceries in my car. Very helpful!! I love it here read more

This store is clean and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. The outside of the store and parking lot could be cleaner and a little more secure. read more

Great place to go for groceries with friendly workers. Use the Ralph card to get better prices, you get destroyed if you don't use the discounts. Always fresh produce and good selections of specialty items. read more

Horrible customer service, poor meat and produce selection. I try to avoid this store as much as possible and will willingly drive further to staters. On the few occasions I needed something quick, I have shopped at this Ralph's and always leave disappointed. Unless you're a college student looking for a big alcohol selection, avoid this dump. Update: still the same old horrible customer service. They open a new lane and don't bother to pull people who have already been waiting in line. read more

My husband and I had been a customer for over 20 years. In late April my husband went to do our weekly shopping. To make a long story short the cashier charged him for the persons groceries for the person that was behind him in which came up to $217+change. The cashier acknowleged the serious error and claimed the money would be refunded. IN WHICH IT WAS NOT. Our groceries was less than $90. So he paid for our groceries in addition to someone elses which cost $217+. We spoke with the book keeper and to the manager and was advised to wait by the end of the week to see if we would get credited back the funds. To no avail its been well over a month and no refund. This is very dissapointing and shameful! Yes we will be taking further action. After 20 years! Do not shop here! read more

Excellent customer service! Every single time I shop at this store I receive a friendly greeting in the produce department and have interactions with the nicest cashiers. I've had minor issues with incorrect charges and returns but all have been handled professionally and with sincere apologies. This store consistently makes me feel like a valued shopper. read more

I live in the neighborhood and I drive 30 minutes away to grocery shop most of the time because this place is terrible. It's super ghetto, has terrible selection, and always long lines. Avoid at all costs! read more

Ralphs - Grocery Near Me - San Bernardino, California

Well I don't feel comfortable going into this store after this morning. I go in to get something to eat for work and I get chased down saying I can't be in the store. I say why it's because I look like somebody else -- really I don't know if it's because of my skin color or cause he didn't even really look at my face. He was just ready to chase me down. And it sucks cause he's the manager. read more

I really wish this wasn't our local grocery store. It is the most run down Ralph's I've ever been to. They often don't have prices marked on certain meat items. They can run out of items often like wheat eggos and I've been there before and could not find fresh parmesan or other items you'd find at an Albertsons or ever Stater Brothers. They run out of chicken strips in the deli often to where I've had to call to make sure they have them and sure enough, they wouldn't have then for another 20-40 minutes so we just go to KFC in the same parking lot. I love their strips but if I want to grab some for lunch, I can't wait for 20-40 minutes. There are two men who usually stock produce and one isn't very friendly. He'll almost take you out with his cart. Trust me, I get out of his way and have even hit the corner of the produce tables to do it. The other one is really pleasant and will greet you. I've been up to the register and realized I grabbed the wrong size can to where the larger one is less in price (where I grabbed 1 large and 1 medium) and told then I meant to grab two of the large cans and they did ring me up for two of the large at the lower price but instead of getting it for me told me "don't forget to grab your can" despite there being no one behind me at the register line which meant both the cashier and baggage guy were free to just watch me go get it instead of either one grabbing it for me. And the younger cashiers and the male cashier are always pleasant, but the older gal cashiers won't even look up to great you most of the time. It's like you have to greet them. It's not all bad but definitely would like a different experience where I shop at. Still give it a 1 star because it's a beat up store, they run out if regular items, don't stock some items, don't have a butcher shop, items aren't priced at all sometimes and 1/2 of their employees are not customer friendly. And to top it off, they have charged me twice for a few items, since you're usually putting your items on the belt when they start to ring you up and when I get home I check the receipt, and I've called the store and they don't always answer. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. The way this place is set up is a disaster. There are never any employees on the floor to help or answer questions. If you do need help, you have to go bother (and they make it know that you are bothering them) one of the cashiers. About the cashiers, there are rarely more than 2 and it takes there being lines going down the isles to maybe think about opening up another lane. Rose Marie is a cashier who is there a lot, she likes to talk, A LOT! And not to her customers, but on her phone, or whatever soul happens to be walking by, totally ignoring and not acknowledging the paying customer in front of her. I've noticed her on her phone several times in the middle of ringing people up. The bag boys are interesting, but they do not understand how to bag food. One of them put the bread in a bag with beer, smashing the bread, and then he grabbed a bag of chips so hard it popped. He tossed the bananas in the cart, bruising them. There are maybe four employees that do their jobs correctly and I feel bad they have to work with the rest of them. The security guard with the diamond tattoo under his eye is a complete asshole. Avoid him at all costs. I've been to plenty other Ralph's and grocery stores in general, but this one needs some help, it needs saving. read more

I this is the only Ralph's near me and it's horrible, the customer service is nasty and stiff. They are sorry. Meat is always high and old looking. They aren't up to date in the merchandising. I made a mistake and bought some groceries that I really didn't need, and the manage Jane was ugly about making the only return for me. She didn't look me in the eye snatched the recipes from me and threw the money at me. She treated me like I was a thief. This is my nearest Ralph's and I hate the disrespect and lack of quality. She knew she was wrong and tried to laugh it off. Don't judge my money it works everywhere and it will work else where. read more

Came in to receive a western union payment, the manager helped me was very bossy told me to sign the form multiple times with out giving me the opportunity to read the form. Name was Doris P she was very rude very short and I felt coerced in to signing the paper by her stare and demeanor. read more

Terrible customer service from the front store manager for western union services. Instead of losing patience with a customer about services offered, more training should be given to better manage problems that arise. Will never recommend this store. read more

I live 1 mile from this place and will gladly drive the 10 miles north to go to staters. This place is horrible!!!!! When ever I am pressed for time I will stop by hoping for some positive change but ,it never happens. Never eat the fried chicken in the deli!!!! (It still had blood around the bones, nasty) The service is horrible from the ladies !!! They have this one cashier who is an old lady and she has to be drinking on her breaks. The ONLY thing I like about this place are the dude cashiers The black guy is awesome, professional and speedy, they need to promote him, They have this other older gentleman too, he is less friendly but he is quick and too the point which is always appreciated. If you do have to go here for whatever reason look for male cashier when you decide to check out and stay away from the ladies, not only will you save time, you wont have to hear them talk about to the baggers about what there doing after work read more

Staff is disrespectful and unprofessional. The cashier looked bored to death as he threw each of my items he scanned. There was a lady with short blond hair who was very kind and came over to greet me and my kids. This ghetto guy came to help bag groceries then left when lady left. The other two guys started bad mouthing the guy who left. It was super unpleasant to hear their work drama in front of my kids. The kids they have working there are ghetto and don't really care if they are working or not. Will never go again. I will stick with Staters. read more

My cashier Stacey W. was extremely rude, first off she was not greeting everyone who was in the line, instead she she was complaining the whole time. I don't know if ralph's is big on customer service or not but clearly they need to specify and work on it for a change. read more

So there aren't many grocery stores in this area of North SB so I am very thankful for this store's existence. It has great hours and staff have always been friendly to me. I'm always waiting for them to restock the (frozen) crab legs :) read more

I am a semi-mild couponer in San Bernardino and came across this AWESOME deal that Ralph's had going. Now, I live on the other side of town on the border of Highland near the old air force base. I drove ALL the way up there hoping to find the same nice service that I had 10 years before when I lived on the other side of town. NOPE! Before shopping at this store I familiarized myself with the company coupon policy (which states that each store has the right to place limits as they see fit), but what I walked into was beyond me. First off, I would think that the idea of a huge sale is to move products off the shelves, as well as bring in the customers and hope that they spend more money on additional products while shopping. NOT AT THIS STORE! Apparently, they don't know how to order a large enough supply to supplement the impending sale. I was trying to do 2 transactions... not 10 or 20, just 2 and that was not allowed! Furthermore, I obey the laws of couponing... I don't photo copy, purchase, trade or misuse coupons, and follow all the rules written on them to the best of my ability; however, this store does not allow you to use more than 3 of the same face value coupons for the same items. Meaning if I pick up 5 bottles of laundry detergent, and I have 3 coupons clipped from the newspapers (that I clipped myself) and 2 from the Internet, I cannot use them all.... Even though it's clear that they are not duplicated. On top of it all... I found out that they don't allow you to "roll" your deals. That means when you make certain purchases, sometimes a strip of paper called a Catalina will print out and give you $1, $2, or $5 off your next shopping order. To "roll" this means that you make one transaction, the Catalina prints, and you do another transaction to use the Catalina and do it again. This is huge for those trying to save money. The sad thing about it is I called the other Ralph's in Rialto and they didn't have any such rules. The manager and employees kept trying to tell me that it was a company policy, but corporate said no, but the store has the right to make those additional rules. PLUS, while I was shopping I saw another couple couponing the huge sale with 2 baskets FULL of promotional products. When they checked out, they walked out with ALL of it... I walked out with some! Maybe I look like someone who would try to rip off the store, or maybe they just know the other couple really well. Either way, I will never shop at this store again! Last but not least, the first day I went the cashier was sooo sweet and nice while trying to explain the rules, and I appreciated it, even though the rules upset me so terribly. The manager was kind about it too, but in a more short and to the point manner, which didn't bother me too much. I went back the next day as their rules indicated I needed to do, hoping to have a better experience and give it a fair chance, and so that I could finish what I was trying to do the first day, and on my second trip the cashier I had did me in! Although she wasn't incredibly rude, how she said things to me indicated a snobby *b* tone. She rolled her eyes about everything and her expressions indicated that I was an inconvenience. Check it out lady... it's not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it. So I told her, next time I'll just take their ad to Wal-Mart and Target for a price match, and Target is better anyways! She got offended and said they don't have the coupons they do! Well, at least I CAN use my coupons and MORE everywhere else! So good riddens Ralph's on University. I hope that many more people learning to coupon to save a few dollars read this and think twice before trying to visit the worst store in the IE. read more

I am absolutely fed up with this Ralph's location. I am new to the area and my options for grocery shopping are very limited so unfortunately I have to shop here. I can't tell you how many times this has happened. What they do is cover the green disgusting rotten areas with stickers so you can't tell until you get home and open it. Every time I buy meat from here I have to throw it away. I can't believe they get away with this period I am reporting them to the health department for selling rotten food and deceiving the customers by hiding the green discolored areas with the stickers and still selling them. I will never in my life shop there again I would rather drive an hour to the next location. Absolutely disgusting and poor management the store always looks dirty to begin with but they sell rotten meat and the health department me to come either shut down their meat department or they need new management and fresh food. I have shopped at this Ralph's for the past 4 months. My digital coupons have not worked and gas perks have not accumulated since March. No one ever stated this at the store. I had to contact customer service to find out I will have to obtain a new card. This store is a crappy example of a Ralph's to say the least. Never help load your buggy and let items get smashed at the end of the conveyor belt. Not to mention the last time I was there was handed $60 cash back, when I NEVER selected cash back. I will drive a little further to go to a decent grocery store, one that will not rip you off at ever opportunity they get. read more

I get my WIC here LOL fast service open 24 hours. I rather go to the superior warehouse.

They don't even deserve a star, this place sucks. I rather drive to Redlands so I could have a better shopping experience. Actually I RATHER GO TO WALMART then here and I don't even like going to Walmart, but since its the closest grocery store, I deal. Where do I start? First, in the produce aisles, no ones greet you they just glare at you. I do however have to say this, all the young people working there are sweet, nice, and helpful. Ralphs, for the quality, its expensive and have you seen the meat aisle? Hardly any options. Here 's the best part, the cashiers (a few of them) are the rudest people in the world. So I went to pay for flowers that are in little pots, under each pot was a plastic tray. I didn't know that it was 59cent each. I said to the cashier (Mark) could I keep those, instead of being POLITE person and telling me its 59 cents, he just shove it up to my face with the price sticker. I was so shocked by how rude he is that I REFUSE to go to his aisle to pay even til this day. Another time, I think her name is Jennifer, I went to pay and she didn't acknowledge me at all and just glare at me. To top everything of, she threw all my grocery into my reusable bag. I can't stand these people, seriously you're in customer service. I know people have bad days, but this is not the first time these people were rude to me, but those two examples were the ones that stuck to me. I dread going to this Ralphs and I avoid it at all cost unless I really have to. read more
