They are experiencing major operational problems with their pickup order fulfillment compared with Sprouts and Target, and are clearly unequipped with enough workers to be able to fill orders. With such a crisis in operations they need to STOP taking orders on the front end to avoid overpromising and losing customers. All 3 of my pickup experiences were negative. First time: quality of produce was poor. Second time: waited almost an hour past time window for pickup. Today and last time I'll use Ralphs pickup: I loaded entire family in car, got there, and they were 20 orders behind, one person picking all orders, and manager couldn't say when I should even come back to try getting my groceries (tomorrow wasn't even a clear guess). Other stores are experiencing an onslaught of orders too, but that's why they push pickup to 5 days out so they don't overpromise when they can fulfill orders. Ralphs brand is getting damaged in the clamoring for more orders--they need to shut down their online order taking until their internal crisis is under control. Don't waste your time expecting orders fulfilled here, go to other chains. read more

This Ralphs saved what could have been a disastrous situation. We ordered Christmas dinner through another Ralphs location. When we went to pick up the food, the Ralphs was closed. We were not sure why they would take our order and tell us to pick the food on Christmas day if they were closed. We called this location in Torrance explained the situation and they were able to pick up the pieces from where the other location left off. Sergio who worked at the deli was able to put everything together at the last minute and the food was excellent. He apologized for the confusion and misunderstanding and we were grateful to have our Christmas dinner food. Thank you! read more

I go here every 3 weeks or so to use their recycling facilities. It is one of the busiest around and every time I go there i don't know what to expect. Some days I am in and out within 5 minutes and the rest of the time I am standing behind 7 different people and their recycling. Today (Saturday) I got really lucky. I choose this place because it is open daily from 9-430, but the weekends are packed. The attendant's name is Jorge and he is quick and efficient. He remembers me every-time i come even though it can be several weeks between trips. Lots of parking and you can walk right up to the store and redeem your voucher. read more

Do not care for the new layout after they "refreshed" the store. Example, on baking aisle cake & boxed mixes on one end but baking chips & canned milks are at the complete opposite end of the same aisle. Not logical/intuitive. Butter not in an intuitive location. Only 1 choice of russet potatoes - giant. Out of zucchini. I went in the middle of the week during the day. Store should be fully stocked and better choices. Please poll some regular customers for how to more efficiently group items on the aisles. Put more helpers at the deli/hot items/sandwich section. Feels like you missed the mark this time. Just visited the Ralphs next to Target near Del Amo Mall and received sub par customer service. I got a prescription and the pharmacist told me there were free COVID masks near the self checkout area. I went through the line, no one there, and got Dawnmarie as a checker. No greeting, even after my enthusiastic greeting to her. She moved my selection with her scanning wand without touching it. She didn't know where the masks were either. So I asked near the self check out area. a gentleman there said he didn't know anything about it. I just stood there sort of in disbelief that was his final answer. I had told him the pharmacist referred him to this area. Still didn't know what I was talking about. FIRST of all, if I was told by someone who is working within your company you best move your body (or phone call) and find out what those employees are telling their customers so we (Ralphs) can provide a seamless flow of consistent customer service. Thoughtlessness on the head of employees who shrug and say not my concern. I'll remember this for a long time and whenever there's a lull in any friends conversation I will certainly bring this experience up. Really, Vons is not that far away. read more

I like this Ralphs since it has the only decent salad bar in the area. Otherwise, I think the prices are overall higher compared to Vons around the corner. I don't even think the produce section anymore is more superior than Vons or (gasp) Whole Foods or TJs. Some other items you can find a more premium selection but I find this store is smaller than other Ralphs. Everyone is friendly who works here. I think the Ralphs on Sepulveda and Mariposa in El Segundo is much nicer with a better selection since they redesigned it a year ago. read more

This Ralphs has gone through many changes over the years. When Ralphs used to be called Giant it was a giant (as I remembered it). This Ralphs used to have a Coffee Bean inside and not it is gone. No biggie for me. It has everything that you need for a grocery store. VEry clean inside too. read more

We LOVE this Ralph's store. It has been our primary grocery store since 2001. The service is top notch. The cashiers are fast and very pleasant. Very rarely is there some type of delay or issue that slows things down. They always have enough registers open too. They just "get it". Also, unlike Vons at the Crossroads (Crenshaw/Lomita Blvd) they have self check out. Vons is terrible all around and we avoid that store whenever we can. This Ralph's store is 1000000x better! read more

The floral department, the ladies were amazing. So polite and nice. But I ordered a corsage and boutinere, and it came out horrible. I asked for specific things, a specific color, a specific look. And they did what they wanted and I couldn't even wear my corsage because #1 it was too tight and #2 it was just bad. read more

I had FOUR credit cards stolen with SIX charges close to $500 EACH and all CHARGED AT THE SAME TIME. ALL of the cards had the SAME NAME on them. How the hell did this go undetected and cashier didn't suspect anything?? There is no way in this pandemic they made it in and out in 30 minutes and were able to charge the cards SIX TIMES and not get their ID checked for charges of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. AND some of the cards were DENIED when the credit card detected fraud. What was the cashier thinking??? read more

This Ralph's is a-okay for a supermarket. My only issue is that the last few times, a stalker that buys exactly what I buy, came first and bought everything! My plain Greek yogurt, chicken breast tenders, ice tea, all sold out.. Which annoyed be because at 7pm after work, I just want to go home, not stop by Walmart Neighborhood Market after Ralph's. I wish they had more Kombucha, but I am glad to see their brew section is sort of expanding. I picked up a Hangar 24 Orange Wheat! Bottled right from so cal! It was on sale. Yay! Any way, aside from keeping up with stock, everything is clean, orderly, way finding is easy, staff is friendly and nothing is dusty and expired. Pretty good . Also the rewards card program saves me a ton of money. read more

The store has the potential to be five-star rated. Huge deli, huge bakery, very large produce section, many aisles of wines. Where this store misses the mark is people. If I were paid to hire clowns, lamers and loafers, I couldn't do better than the managers here have done. The managers and most (not all) of the staff have forgotten what customer service is all about (if they ever knew). Kroger should be ashamed of how poorly they have staffed this store. Clowns in the deli and ignoramuses at checkout. The lady in self-checkout is good, but the equipment there is crappy. I asked a fellow in the Deli to add avocado to my chicken sandwich, as the sign right in front of us offered to "add avocado to any sandwich - just $1.00". The loser-surfer non-customer oriented punk said, oh, that doesn't apply to the sandwich you ordered. Sheesh, so stupid, is it really worth a bad review to not accommodate your guests?? I will still shop there, but not in the deli, and only self-checkout. Too many stupid employees with bad attitudes. read more

My complaint is about the bakery. I order a birthday cake on a Wednesday for a Sunday pickup at 9:40-10:00am. I get there at 10am, he tells me he's just starting the cake, then I find out he's also still working on a cake that was due at 9am. Now, in addition to pushing my schedule back for the day, I also get a rushed custom job. I also asked to speak to a manager who never showed up. read more

Watch out for item of what you purchased. Second time I didn't get all my stuffs back home cause the box girl was Facebooking, Her face was down to the phone while bagging. The cashier told her to stop facebook. I have to drive back at 11 pm waste of time and gas. The night manager and other employees nobody say sorry. Not event a word. He said I believe you. I admit, I just don't shop at "regular" grocery stores any more, so I'm negatively biased. Between CostCo, TJ's, Valu Plus, and Smart n' Final, I have no reason to overspend on lackluster produce and low-quality meat. However, there are a few items that my husband absolutely "needs" (I say "wants"!) that you just can't find anywhere else - like Minute Maid Light lemonade. Which he actually hasn't requested in a while (shhhhh! And yes I'm too lazy to make some with our own lemons). Anyways, if he really wants something that badly, he can come here himself! So the 3 things that redeem this particular store for me: - Location: I can walk here from our place. I certainly couldn't do all my shopping this way as I would keel over from carrying that much stuff, but for a few items, sure why not, I can definitely use the exercise! I would argue that it is easier to walk than drive here for us, given the crappy uncoordinated traffic lights in the area. - Gift cards: Need a last-minute gift, and can't get to the particular store/restaurant you want to purchase the card from? Or not sure whose card you want to pick? Not to worry - they have a huge selection of merchandisers. But go early for the holiday season - I made the mistake of going a week before Christmas, and the gift card section had slim pickings. - RECYCLING: The only reason I still come here! Yes, there's usually a wait, and it's a little time-consuming, but it's great for the environment, and hey you get back that extra CRV you paid! You can redeem the voucher for cash or groceries in the store. read more

Sneaking off from work to Ralphs in the early hours of the morning is worth it when they make great coffee at their Coffee Bean. So most of (if not all) my co-workers are hungover or tired when they show up. The quick fix is walking to Ralphs for a quick drink or snack. This is the first Ralphs I've encountered that has a kitchen where you can purchase an actual meal. I drool every time I see their BBQ chicken, mac n cheese and potato wedges. I fight the temptation by staring at the hot guy working at Coffee Bean... yes, make that coffee and smile for me hot stuff.... Where was I? Oh yeah reviewing Ralphs... This location seems very organized and the staff is always helpful. My pet peeve here though is their self-service machines. They're always out of order, and the only working machine is taken by the single depressed guy that pays in pennies. Arrgh! I have 10 mins before the boss shows up! Ok, let's go to the cash registers. Damn, this place is overstaffed with employees, but only one cashier available? Oh c'mon! Don't make me leave the Honey Buns! Pay for my stuff, get out, stare at hot Coffe Bean guy one last time, run and get to work with 10 minutes to spare. Success! read more

This is my favorite Ralphs. They have an extensive wine section, and they are open late which I love. The employees are also great, particularly the customer service and the service deli. This location also had a Coffee Bean, but they closed it for a floral section. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars. read more

But, today, in need of a last minute item for a recipe; I sent my wife to pick it up with a recycling voucher I got the week before. Week before, not month/s. This 5 star rating is for the Pharmacy in the store. I have been going to this Ralph's Pharmacy for over 2 years and have always had a nice visit. Dr. Steve is very helpful and friendly. When I have any questions he is sure to respond and return calls in a timely manner. I never had a mistake in my refils nor have the pharmacy not refilled a presciption. I recommend this facility to everyone who would want friendly and professional service. as for the supermarket it self, that place is nice and clean but my only complaint is the slow service at the self checkout. More than once i have seen other customers that need help and the attendant was busy talking to another employee while the line forms. so if you're rolling through self check out make sure not to make any errors, but your best bet is using the express lane read more

If you enjoy a fresh cup of coffee like I do, then you might want to take a trip to your local Ralph's grocery store. This one next to Target on Sepulveda is one of the best. Donald one of the managers always gives the best customer service and a warm smile when he sees me. It continues from the top down. From someone sweeping the floors, to the butcher guys, the staff will greet you and say hi. My favorite aisle is the coffee and tea section. Here I can peruse the myriad brands of coffee and their prices. Here's where your shopping savvy comes into play. Get the free Ralph's card if you haven't already. Right now with the card, the Don Francisco brand is on sale for get this, only $3.99!! for a 12 ounce bag. Either whole bean or ground. As I'm writing this i'm sipping on a cup of their "Kona Blend" with a splash of International Delights Hershey Chocolate Caramel creamer thrown in. Today is definitely a good day! Btw, another plus is theres a recycling place next to this Ralph's so I get my recycling done all in the same shopping plaza. I usually go to a different Ralphs, but this was on my way. The shopping was ok, but the cashier was not. After ringing me up, I asked her if she scanned my Ralphs card, which was sitting out in plain view, she grabs it and says, "you didn't give me your card." I just looked at her, and she scanned it and gave me my "card discounts." After bagging my groceries, she hands me my receipt and leaves all my bags on the counter. I had to reach over and lift the bags into the cart myself. After a few bags, she finally decides to help and puts the rest of the bags in my cart, yelling "thank you!!!" at me 3 times. Seriously. Three times. When I did not respond, she yells "MERRY Christmas" at me. I just wanted to get out of there. read more
