They also don't charge per night what other hotels on the same row charge... if you stay in a standard pool side room it is much less than the others. However , next year , I will probably bite the bullet and pay more. First of all , we booked in March and we were told we could have a second floor standard room. At that time , the person that had communicated my booking to me never told me that that wasn't guaranteed. The day before our check-in we were told that we had to be moved to a first floor standard room, and that floor choices were not guaranteed. That was the first thing that happened that turn us off to this place. But what choice did we have? NONE. So we gracefully said "OK no problem". The first night , I noticed stains on my sheets. Right where I have to put my face. Lovely. Also . The room is extremely, damp ! Everything feels wet all of the time. I believe it is due to the fact that the bathroom doesn't have a fan , which I understand isn't necessary if you have a window in the bathroom, but I think at a beachfront hotel should have a fan in the bathroom to prevent the dampness. And because it is so damp , there is mold on the blinds in the bathroom. Shown in picture. Anyway - the furniture is all chewed up underneath- also due to dampness. I drop something on the floor and had to look under the bed for it, and it was certainly a sight to see.! don't look under the bed just ignore it They only give you 3 flat pillows per bed. You can ask for more but every pillow is flat. And when the woman brought it out to me, I'm not even sure if she had washed her hands before touching the pillow, and she had the pillow snuggled up against her chest when she carried it out It smelled like her perfume, and I wasn't happy with that. The towels have stains and are very thin and rough! The staff was rude and not friendly. I will probably never stay here again. Sorry

If you've never been here, let me save you the trouble…read more Knives and cutlery wrapped in a cloth dinner napkin. Butter already sitting on the table before you're seated, yet the bread arrives in a bag. Dirty plates and unused wine glasses left sitting on the table. Nothing about the experience felt remotely five-star--other than the price of the prix fixe menu. $148 for three courses, which I'd value at maybe $89 at any decent restaurant. The first course was grilled artichoke and lemon risotto. Small portion, buried under microgreens, and extremely heavy on the lemon. The first few bites felt like eating lemon-flavored grass. Eventually my taste buds went numb enough to push through it. The halibut was cooked properly, but was covered in a combination of sauces that simply didn't work for me--hummus, chili oil, and some other questionable flavor combination. Dessert was a key lime pudding with baby coconut and a cinnamon Pirouline cookie. Fine, but nothing memorable. Overall, an incredibly underwhelming dinner for the price. The food didn't justify the cost, and the service and attention to detail certainly didn't create a five-star experience. My favorite part of the evening was the entrance decor--and walking out knowing I won't ever have to come back.

Three and a half stars. Not amazing and not terrible…read more We were recently here in the off season for a wedding. Unfortunately this meant that the heated pool, the restaurant and the bar were all closed. Hotel prices should be much cheaper because of this reason, but they aren't. Thankfully, there is a restaurant called Dockside within walking distance on the main boulevard. Rooms are pretty small. Ours had 2 double beds and the area to walk around them is tight. Bathroom area to access the toilet is also tight. You have to enter and squeeze behind the door to close it to access the toilet and we are not large people. The shower stall was nice and big and very clean. It comes with shampoo/conditioner/bath gel in dispensers attached to the shower wall. Blow dryer in the bathroom sink cabinet. There is also an ironing board and iron in the closet. The room looked to be nicely renovated with a coastal and light/bright vibe to it. Everything was clean which is important. The air conditioner was a bit noisy at moments with some rattling but it did the job and didn't keep us awake. There is a mini fridge and a large tv on the wall. The best part is probably the proximity to the beach with easy access.
