The food had cold spots and was pretty basic. More expensive than what I was expecting. But, they did a great job at keeping everyone separated during this pandemic, and that's very appreciated. This was also their first week back up and running so maybe they were still working the kinks out. But once we set foot inside, were pleasantly surprised! The style is in old western/cowboy/ country. The tables and chairs in dark solid wood. Plenty of sitting around it! I've given this restaurant a couple of tries now. This last time did it for me. I had a BLT and it was gross. It seems impossible to screw up a BLT but if you can't use fresh lettuce or fresh tomato why bother! Also it was loaded with mayo ( and I love mayo) to the point of sogginess. I'm adding a couple of pics. Yes I took a few bites, but it disgusted me when it fell apart with yellow/brown lettuce and just simply soggy bread! Won't be back EVER. The first supplies was the Batdorf and Bronson coffee, be ready for a stout full bodied java when you have a cup of coffee here. From a look and taste of my wife's plate, I can say the chicken fried steak breakfast takes a real appetite to finish but the effort is well worth a try. Real country in the county gravy and the hash browns have the same country taste. The tri tip steak and eggs was just like Grama used to make on the farm, eggs were perfect and a place to stop for a good meal. Just no room to try their 1 lb cinnamon roll. read more

I come here a lot with co-workers for lunch. We get friendly excellent service and great food every time. I really cannot think of a time when I left unhappy. They have nice sized portions (albeit a little higher priced for the area), fresh food, lots of different delicious options and unusual fare a long with normal/comfort fare. I LOVE their bbq chicken salad - it is the best in the state. Their burgers and french fries are amazing too. Breakfast food is delish - try their cinnamon rolls - holey moley they are good and gooey and big! They provide really nice service, quick refills on pop and the restaurant is clean and spacious. It is a really fun and eclectic place. They even have a member rewards club - which keeps me coming back. You earn points pretty quick which is a nice way to treat loyal customers and encourage new. read more

I just went here for the first time last night. We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge, and my hubby suggested this place since he went here before with business. It was a great down-home cooking restaurant! I had the hamburger steak which was fresh and tasty. It included mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh vegetables (a bit too raw for my taste), a biscuit (a bit soggy), and soup. The clam chowder was so good! I loved the creaminess, bacon, and potatoes, although the potatoes could have been chopped a bit smaller. One piece took up half of the small cup! My boys had the popcorn chicken and fries (enough to take home for a second dinner later) and the kid's turkey and mashed potatoes. They enjoyed their meals very much. I ordered a milk for each child, and it came in a huge Mason jar which was too much for them to drink, but my hubby and I helped. All in all, this was a good place. It was not as cheap as Denny's might be, but the food tasted more "real" and homemade. I would go here again if I were in the area. read more

The service we had today was really disappointing. I am not sure if it was because indoor dining just started this week but our server forgot our silverware even after asking twice, forgot my fiancé's drink THREE times, he had to change the Station and then kept forgetting to bring it.. but the time he brought it my fiancé already finished his food and when he did bring the soda it wasn't even carbonated it was just syrup and water. After we mentioned it he completely ignored our table. Already frustrated we decided to go and we're waiting for a To go box for my food but he never came to our table so we just walked to the register and paid there. We were in town for a baseball tournament. We went out to dinner as a family . Everyone ordered something different. We all enjoyed our dinners. The décor is so eclectic! This review is really a warning to let people know that the 'small fish & chips' means really, really, small, as in a 1 1/2 oz. piece of fish. For 13.29 you get two pieces! We are at the truck stop next door and wanted "real" food for a change... Well, we definitely were not disappointed! Smoked ribeye, meatloaf, huge portions properly prepared and presented.. I have been driving by this place for probably 20-25 years and every time staring at it like a kid looking at a candy store. It ended up on my bucket list of restaurants so last night we stopped in and I have no regrets. The prices are great and the servings are large. I ordered the 16oz ribeye and it was good and worth the price (not expensive). My gf got the chicken sandwich and could only eat half but she still ordered the 1lb homemade cinnamon roll to go to have with her coffee for the next few days at work. What an awesome experience! So it's Labor Day 2021 and my 7 yr old son and I are traveling back north from washougal MX race. We stop here, it looks to be busy, they say 10-15 min wait. I ask if we can sit at the dining room bar and within a few minutes of sitting down I realize this is going to be a good example for my son to either watch how people work together and handle stress well, or see how things spiral down hill when they don't. It was the best decision I ever made to watch this amazing group of teammates! Dalton, the manager was a young man with such an amazing attitude and what a good leader. He took our drink order, and was on top of it and was side by side with the waitresses and waiters and the cooks were putting out dish after dish that looked amazing! We got to see what can be done when a team works well together, even when mistakes happened on orders, it was calm, respectful and diligent! I actually got up and complimented them when they were all rolling silverware together. Just an awesome group of people! An experience that you don't get a lot these days and especially on a busy holiday where staff is taxed to their max.. kudos to Dalton and the whole team at ramblin jacks rib-eye. This isn't a dog on the service, our waitress was great! But the food is just not worth the stop. Save the time. We had the burger, the chicken fried steak and the smoked tri-tip. Pre-Covid this place was decent, even good most of the time. This is a fast decline. Literally choked on how dry the tri-tip was, it was over well cooked. The burger was also dry, my kiddo said "there isn't any juice in it!". My hubbys chicken fried steak was pre frozen and lukewarm. Sad to see what used to be a good option go downhill so fast :( I should've gone to Applebees's. At least I'd have been prepared for it to suck. read more
