I've been going to this place for exactly one year and boy it has been an amazing place to be in! I…read moredid have reallllly epic pictures and reviews before but Yelp had deleted the previous page (the business owner consolidated the pages for all Elite branches and deactivated them so the owner can manage them 'officially'), and I have to start from scratch. Let me just say this is my background: -- I learned Muay Thai when I was in middle school but it only lasted 3 months since it was only a summer thing my parents wanted my siblings and I to do. -- In college, I took a cardio kickboxing class for 1 semester and I thought it was pretty nice but not a lot of self-defence (none at all actually!). It was taught by a really exuberant and energetic trainer and she (I believe to this day) still teaches cheerleading. Yes. My fitness instructor in college was a cheerleader coach as well!!! -- Lastly, I played college sports, so I had my coach along with my fitness trainer. They taught us how to train well and eat well. However, no self-defense discipline. Now, to the review: I ran across Elite MMA by accident since I was interested in doing martial arts again but I really needed the motivation to go to the mats. My type of work does not allow a lot of flexibility and it involves working at night, therefore, I'm usually tired by the time I get on, or lacked a lot of sleep, or I'm pretty much starving since my sleep/meal schedule is always changing. I am very good at reading people well (it's part of my occupation) and I must say I have never met such a personable Coaches like Robert and Julian. 1) They are very passionate about their students and their wellbeing --- if I ever had kids of my own in the future, I would feel comfortable having these guys train them on how to roll. I also watch Robert with his own kid, and I must say he loves him to death --- note to parents: if a man cannot manage his household in a loving way, how can you expect him to care for yours? 2) They are very active in BJJ and encourages ALL of us to continue training all year long. Robert and Julian also compete so they continuously learn new things and teach us new moves. This leads to the next topic: 3) The Coaches train us to roll SAFELY! This is very important to me since I am familiar of other gyms/fitness centres that do not care about your personal well-being, (and dare I say it!?), just want your money! If I can tell that they're pressuring me to join them, I'll just refuse their offer since my health is more important than being out of the job. 4) Accountability. When you're missing for more than 1 week, they send you an email to see how you're doing. If Robert has your mobile number, he'll make sure to check that you're ok. If I'm having difficulty going to class because of work or I'm ill, all I need to do is let them know and it will put Robert and Julian at ease :-D 5) They have monthly events going on all the time. There are competitions and belt promotions going on. Families enjoy it and are having a blast. You should check out their "Lock-ins!" There are pizza, movies, and fun games for the kids! 6) Lastly, I can't thank Robert and Julian and the rest of the guys and gals for their friendships. They promote healthy relationships in this branch of Elite (I am not sure how the other branches are like). Going to a BJJ gym like Elite is worth it if you can always look forward to meeting your classmates there. Bonus: They also have cardio kick boxing! I have not done that myself (I would but it's just overkill for me on top of what I have on my plate!) Overall, check them out and have fun! Coach Robert and Julian, (and pretty much all the guys/gals/teens) will make you feel at home. I have never regretted ever joining them and I will sorely miss them. I learned to be disciplined and to be able to take care of myself in all situations :-D

I walked in and soon the man that works here came out and he didn't even acknowledge me. I'm the one who said hello and he reluctantly answered. He never asked me how he could help me. I gave him my DL and told him that I needed to pick up my package. He said he needed the tracking number (no eye to eye contact) which I showed him. He went to the back and left my box in the counter. If you don't like your job then you need to quit and allow someone who actually wants to work, take the job. If your attitude sucks because of something you went through, go and fix your issues and come back to work or not. Customer service centers have no place for negative vibes especially since your income depends on your customers! You should treat your customers with the utmost respect and dignity especially if they're courteous and polite. It was so bad that I'm in their parking lot writing this review...DO BETTER!!!!! Treat people right because you never know what could happen if you mistreat the wrong person at the wrong time! Again...DO BETTER!!!!!!

If I could leave no star! I am disappointed in the service I…read morereceived in my recent move. I have never dealt with this kind of horrible customer service and moving company in my life. The moving company didnt show up the original date. I had to wait the next day. I have spoke with "Alex" 7134263222 several times trying to resolve issues that occurred during the move. My pottery barn sectional was stained, my stainless steel refrigerator is scratched and dented. I was over charged for labor. I was told I had to pay before the move was over because the office was closed and if I didn't pay. "Alex" was going to stop the movers and take my belongings that were still in the truck. I went with a more expensive moving company expecting a better experience than I did. I immediately contacted Alex via phone to tell him about my damages and overcharges now he is not accepting responsibility nor reimbursing me for the overcharged labor or any damages. He is trying to say my sectional was "stained" not damaged. Hmm that is damaged. And what about my brand new refrigerator it looks now like I bought it at a dent and scratch. Most importantly how are you not going to reimburse someone after you admittedly overcharged them? BE WARE ANY ONE THAT USES THIS COMPANY IT IS NOT SAFE OR PROFESSIONAL. I think he was trying and did take advantage of me because I'm a tiny little woman. I wish I would have saw the yelp review already filing a complaint with the same issues I had, before I used them. I did google review. I would just like to pay for the actual labor I received and get my Reimbursed overcharges back. I have left this review before but want to keep it active so people are aware of SCAM and to look at other people's reviews in google and yelp that pretty much had the same type of experience if he uses different company names I would google search his number just to be on the safe side. Hope this can help anyone Alex, Me and my husband did personal talk to you and you were our original moving company. And it was your movers that initialed the contract because the total hours to move was not accurate on the contract and it was me that asked the movers to correct the actual time it took and initial the corrections But I don't expect a honest reply or answer from you after having to deal with you and your company.

This is a long review. It is honest and fair. I am writing it let people know how bad a moving…read morecompany can be, or at least from my perspective. I hired this company based off their rate and nothing more. This was my first mistake. I should have read more into the reviews and dug into the company with the BBB and such. I wanted them to move my mother's thing into a storage room, as she was moving out to another home at a later time. I told them how many rooms, and told them I needed it all packed in boxes and plastic wrapped. I was quoted around $1,200.00 for it all. I thought that was a very good price due them not even seeing how much. We budgeted that money, and were ready to go. Well, I will stop there. I will let you read the email I sent to owner (Santos) and the sales rep (Alex) asked for some type of reimbursement for all poor work they did. - Start of Email- Dear Alex, Thank you again for trying to help us resolve all the issues we had with your company. We know that you guys want to make it right and have a good image for years to come. Please allow me to give you the list of all the issues we have had with the moving team you sent us, and at the end we will let you know what we would like to ask of you to make it right. Pictures will be attached. 1) I asked Alex for their best team and gave them over a week notice. This did not happen. The lead driver was 18 years, other was 16, and the guy that did not speak English was 47. It made it very difficult to communicate with them when asking them questions. 2) We requested the moving team to show up between 8-9am.. They showed up at 9:30am due to flat tires ... But was called at 9:05am about being 20 min late. 3) 40% of the time the other two stood around while the 18 year old did the wrapping for the items to be moved. He was sweating all over our stuff while he was using his body to hold things in place while he solo wrapped our belongings. 4) No mask or gloves at all while on site. No offer to wear any too. 5) They had no idea how to move mattresses. Mattress was bent in half when moving it. 6) Layed bed frame in against windows and blinds, damaging blinds and scratching windows in home. 7) One of them was on their phone watching YouTube while the others worked. 8) They had no care on how they handled our stuff until I complained to Alex about this. 9) We were charged 10.00 for each USED, dirty, and damaged moving blanket. 10) The 16 year old over used packing supplies... Used our rolls of tape too. 11) We paid for mattress bags as our beds would be moved to storage. They damaged the bags by putting holes in them. The response is we need to make holes in them in order to move them. They laughed at me when I told them "what's the point of it being a mattress bag if there is holes in them" 12) This may be standard, but they charge you 65.00 to come to your location to start. And change you 95.00 to clean their truck out (even if it was only 30% full... All boxed and sealed) We are requesting a refund off all packing materials and two hour refund of labor for a total of no less than $500.00 Please let us know how you would like to proceed. - End- The company did not offer to do anything about it. Santos said they would have our insurance company look into. Nothing was ever done. We even tried to dispute it with our credit card company, and they pushed their eligible contract back at us. PLEASE PLEASE use caution if you choose to hire this company. Besafe, and think about just moving the stuff yourself or friends.

They came with a 3 man crew to move my entire 3 bedroom house to a storage unit and they got it done under 4 hours. Not a single item was damaged. I'll be using them again 100%!

I previously used this company Jan. 2024 for unloading a move and I've referred others to their…read morecompany as well based on that experience and they did not have a good experience. During my recent move, I decided to give them my repeat business. Huge mistake. You get what you pay for. They quoted $110 per hour plus $70 admin fee, minimum 2 hours. That was fine. However, when they showed up, they advised that they charge $15 per roll for shrink wrap. I was in agreement with using the shrink wrap and blankets but they advised they were not sure how many rolls they would use. Then it was changed to 3 rolls. I've used movers in the past and they have always included shrink wrap and blankets in their pricing. However, I've also seen how the shrink wrap is used and 3 rolls is grossly overestimated. I've included a picture of the shrink wrap roll for reference. After signing for them to start the job, a never ending agreement about the number of shrink wrap rolls they would use, and the clock already ticking, I agreed for them to move forward with the additional $45 scam. Instead, they went outside, spoke amongst themselves and someone on the phone and advised that they would not be completing the job and left. I called the primary phone number and spoke with the owner who advised me that I should have accepted the scam pricing from the beginning and then disconnected the phone call. Cancelling a job because you don't want to be called out for overcharging for shrink wrap that should be included in your job is ridiculous. Moving is stressful. To walk out on someone during a time like that is not someone that deserves your business. The bright side is that I had another moving company's card on my door. I contacted them and they were available in the late afternoon. They ended up coming a few hours earlier. The price included the shrink wrap and blankets. They completed a HUGE job in 2.5 hours. I paid more per hour and tipped the 3 movers well. The fact that Astros Moving Company attempted to ruin my day over $45 is ridiculous. They would have made much more than that in tips and repeat business. Edit as of 05/09/25. In response to the owner. I NEVER advised them that I did not have the money to pay the ridiculous $45 for three rolls that were clearly not going to be used. After agreeing to disagree, I actually advised them to move forward. They chose to walk away instead. Not only did I pay more than the $45 with the other moving company, I tipped them generously. In business, some things are about the principle, not the money.
