Quality food, Great prices [Rocklin CA] It's been over 5 years since my first time dining here during their soft opening... I reread my review and I'm happy to report that the same delicious food and customer service hasn't changed. I ordered the same dish I ordered that first time... Chashu Rice (pork belly chashu, brocolli, cabbage on rice)... my daughter ordered the Tako Yaki. Prices are a bit lower than other ramen places. They now offer Loco Moco on weekends... I only saw the ad after placing my order for the Chashu Rice. I'd like to try it the next time we come back. Funny how I referenced Superman five years ago when I wrote my original review... this time daughter and I just came from Blue Oaks Theater next door and we watched the movie... Superman! Restaurant is clean... saw the manager busy wiping down tables, sweeping the floor, and clean the bathroom. Very friendly as she informed me to contact her when we need catering and gave me a couple of paper menus to take with me. Review #1751 updated

Oh my gosh the best Ramen around! The soup base was so flavorful. The service was fast and the ambiance was awesome.

If you're a fan of ramen, Ramen 101 is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an incredible dining experience. The star of the show is, of course, the ramen. Their Tonkotsu Ramen is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The broth is simmered to perfection, delivering that creamy, umami-packed punch that warms your soul. The noodles have just the right amount of chew, and the toppings--oh, the toppings! Whether it's tender chashu pork, marinated soft-boiled eggs, or fresh green onions, every component feels thoughtfully crafted. Don't skip the appetizers--[example, e.g., their crispy gyoza or others are fantastic accompaniments. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring your bowl comes out piping hot and exactly how you want it. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or new to the game, Ramen 101 is a spot you'll find yourself craving long after your first visit. I needed to stop in after my snow trip. 5/5 stars--I'll definitely be back! 1) draw back location of soda fountain but honestly I looked around nowhere else be unless behind counter which means you couldn't refill yourself so the inconvenience is worth it

Seafood bowl and black garlic ramen bowl's.. the black garlic was definitely better than the three shrimp, artificial seafood bowl's.. the garlic bowls broth was very tasty! Just enough seasoning and the pork and noodles were all good, withy the sprouts giving a little crunch on every bite! Would go back and next time I'll try the Hawaiian mixed plates which looked great!

Thought we'd get a quick bowl of Ramen after the show (Accountant 2, it was great). I got the Seafood Ramen, it had great flavor. It could have had more seafood for the price. But I ate it all. My brother had the Black Garlic Bowl. It was even better. I personally should have gone with that bowl because it has so many awesome flavors. It was a great lunch. The service was excellent and the ambiance fine. We will return.

We've been coming here since we moved to the roseville area in 2020 and will continue to support this business. Our usual go-to order are; shoyu ramen, black garlic ramen & kaki fry. Service has always been quick, bathrooms are clean and staff are nice. It could get crowded during peak hours but today we came in at around 4:30PM so it wasnt that bad..

Hadn't hit the local ramen spot in a long while and it definitely satisfied today! You walk in and order at the counter. My favorite menu items are the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Grilled Squid. The restaurant has a few small table that you get a number and they bring out the food. Chill, casual vibes. Hot ramen is perfect on a windy autumn day. Staff are nice, but service is limited to them bringing out the food.

Misleading 4-star on Yelp. This is not authentic ramen. The ramen broth is flavorless, along with the meat.

Hubs and I got the tantan ramen - great spice with egg, pork, green onion and I think bean sprouts and to start we had two pork belly chashu buns that had arugula and a teriyaki type sauce on it, yum!! Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!

Whenever I'm near either location I make a point to stop by to enjoy a meal or pick up take out to enjoy at home. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

We ordered 3 ramen: black garlic, garlic noodles and the miso ramen on top of that we also ordered the octopus legs. The octopus leg came out first and it was delicious. It was lightly battered but crispy. Their spicy mayo sauce was a perfect balance. I don't usually like dipping sauce but this one was delicious. It wasn't too fatty and rich. The black garlic was a 3.5. I couldn't really taste the black garlic but the pork and egg was perfectly cooked. The pork melted in your mouth. My husband ordered the miso. He said it's the best miso ramen in the area. He hasn't had miso ramen like this since we moved from Los Angeles. We ordered the garlic noodles for my son. He almost finished the whole thing. It wasn't too garlicky and had flavor to the noodles.
