Ramen @ 805 is a relatively new restaurant serving a blend of Japanese ramen and Korean fare. The restaurant offers a welcoming and casual, trendy atmosphere with friendly & attentive service. Our server today was Sydney. The menu states their ramens are made with their signature pork bone broth. We ordered their Shoyu and Black Garlic Oil ramens, which comes with a Shoyu base & garlic paste. Both were topped with tender Pork Chashu, bamboo shoots, Wood Ear mushrooms, and green onions. The menu states the ramens were to include dried seaweed, but it wasn't present in our servings. In many restaurants, a soft boiled egg many times accompanies each of these, but not here. There is an additional charge for a soft-boiled egg topping, however we were told they only had hard-boiled available today. We asked for a wedge of lemon or lime with our waters, however we were told they were out of both today. Their Korean selections of Doshirak, Hot Stone Deopbap, both offer a large variety of different protein selections, as well as the Bibimbap, Japchae, and Pajeon which offer a vegetarian choice, sound quite inviting.
Came here for lunch on a recent trip to Paso Robles. This was one of the few spots that had availability for lunch while we were passing through, so we decided to stop in. We got a couple of different items to share, including the japchae, edamame, chicken karage, and gyoza. The stand out for all of us in our group was the garlic edamame - super tasty garlic sauce. Everything else was pretty good too, they have a mix of Japanese and Korean offerings, not necessarily authentic but pretty good for the area.
It was a delightful surprise to be able to eat both Japanese and Korean food and both cuisines were delicious. Ordered garlic edamame, black garlic oil ramen, and Korean combo plate with honey chicken. I would definitely order the garlic ramen again and try another combo or curry plate. Plenty of seating we came during the week for lunch and friendly staff.
With my beloved Momotaro relocating, I admit, I was fairly heartbroken. I begrudgingly decided to give Ramen 805 a try and am really happy I did. I've now gotten take out 3 times in the last couple of months. Their broth isn't as deep as Momotaro but I find the black garlic oil ramen (add an egg) and a side of their spicy sauce makes it pretty legit. They don't skimp on the broth too which is nice. Service in and out the door is usually around 7 minutes and they're pretty nice people.
Stop by this place for dinner before we headed home from San Luis Obispo so I thought as I always do looking for my stars. I noticed this place had four stars. I was kind of hesitant but then decided on it because when we arrived, it was empty but I said oh well I'm going walk in so we did we had appetizers which were all delicious we ended up having Ramen I think the hot and spicy Ramen. It was all delicious everything from the appetizers to the Ramen. I would give this place at 10 if they could get more stars, I would give it to them service was OK. They had people in there working and I had to ask for salt I had to ask for sauces. I had to ask for certain things which should automatically be brought to a table, especially when you're getting ready to eat. My tea was not too hot, but I wanted it really hot because I wasn't feeling good. That made me decide to come and eat Ramen, but anyways, I will come back the restaurant clean but anyways, I figured by the end of the night when we were almost done the place got packed so you know follow your instincts when you are looking at those stars they work believe me. It was worth it
My wife and I went here last night for the first time and we were NOT disappointed! The atmosphere was somewhat minimalistic with plenty of fun Japanese decor, and felt pretty cozy. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and my wife got the Spicy Miso Ramen, along with some sake. We both LOVED our dishes. I added chicken katsu to mine because they were still prepping their pork katsu. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Overall great experience. Highly recommend, especially for the chilly months to come!
Service was great! Price reasonable. Unfortunately, coming from Bay area, ramen was A-ok! Tonkatsu was not bad. The miso was good. The broth was very rich and favorable. The pork slices were dry and chewy. Not sure if it was saved from another night but it was what we expected. It wasn't the fatty pork more like lean pork and then pan fried to heat it up.
Good ramen spot with big portions conveniently located in downtown! The spot has a cool vibe with plenty of seating inside and some on the outdoor as well. They have a nice variety of ramen options, including a vegetarian ramen. Three of us dined in, all got something different, and all enjoyed our meals. I don't think any of us were able to finish because it was so filling, though I definitely tried my best to. We came in for dinner on a chilly night about a month after their soft opening. We saw someone working on adding more items to the menu while there, so they may have still been in the soft opening phase. Excited to come back here and see how they expand as they've been open longer.
We went here for lunch on a Monday, so it wasn't crowded. Trendy look. The menu is pretty simple and straightforward. We got the Miso Ramen and Black Garlic Ramen, but the Miso Ramen came without the ajatama (soy egg). Our waitress caught that, but it took awhile for us to get it. The same thing happened to another table, so the kitchen is dropping the ball. The black garlic ramen was good but the miso ramen was flat, like it was watered down or missing something. Good service but overall, disappointed.
Probably top 2 of any ramen place I've eaten at. The two times I went there wasn't a lot of people but I went more towards closing, my bad. Anyways! Great vibe amazing people working there, and even more amazing food! I wish I lived closer so I could eat here once a week. Sadly I'm a 7hr drive away, but I'd make that drive again for dinner. ;) I'm so happy I got to try this place twice while I was visiting in town. The egg was weirdly my favorite, I've never had a hard boiled egg like how they do it! Every other place I've been too the egg was plain. Not this one! It's full of flavor! I really wanted to bring home a souvenir, but sadly they weren't selling the bowls just yet. You bet I'll be back to get my hands on one! Until next time!
So excited that a new ramen place has opened up in downtown Paso Robles!! They just opened up about a month ago and fun fact, the owners of Umi Sushi also own this place! Came here with a friend around 4pm during a week day and we were the only people there so rightfully so the service was quick, extremely attentive and efficient! We ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer, which were super yummy and crispy perfection. I ordered the Spicy Miso and my friend ordered the Tonkotsu - the flavor was great and the spicy level was wonderful (I LOVE spicy things)! We both finished the entire bowl with nothing left. We enjoyed our meal and can't wait to go back again!

We went for a lunch with a group of 9 from work. We sat right away and were in and out within 45 minutes. Food was really good, I've never had ramen before so I didn't know what to expect. The spicy chicken hotstone is the best thing ever. The rice kind of gets burned as you're eating it from the hotstone so you get your best bites in the very beginning. I wish it didn't get burned but I think it if was moved around more it would stay good. read more

Great place on a Monday evening. Quiet and had cartoons and cool anime shows on. Initially, my pork was forgotten, but then they brought out my plate of it so that was nice. read more
Very clean and nice location, everything was organized and set up very nicely. Service was great they weren't too pushy and were very polite and calm. The food was delicious we got ramen and takoyaki balls which were very delicious and definitely recommend giving them a try read more

My husband and I got adventurous in our eating dinner tonight venturing out to downtown Paso Robles! We were not disappointed! Shout out to Ramen 805 and their newly expanded menu to include Korean Cuisine!!! We went midweek and it made for a nice quiet evening (no downtown rushed feeling). There was plenty of seating inside and a couple tables on the entry 'patio' seating. The young person who served us was very polite, informative, and attentive. Food was very flavorful! Arrived quickly and cooked to perfection! It was absolutely delicious! Portions were generous so we took leftovers home for dinner the next night! Bonus! Two meals in one!! We traveled to Paso Robles and is so pleasantly surprised by how great the ramen is here! The noodles were el dente and the broth was so flavourful. It was truly delicious. We're surprised to have a ramen this good outside of Japan and Hawaii. The ribs was so so good too. Love the decor and ambiance in here and the service was perfect. We went there for a soft opening. We ordered the tonkatsu, spicy miso, and black garlic oil ramen. The tonkatsu was creamy, as it should be. I like the spicy miso ramen, but I wish it was a little more spicy. However, they brought me their house chili oil, and it is actually spicy. I did not add it to ramen because I wanted to have it the way the chef prepared it. The garlic ramen was full of flavor and the garlic really came through into the broth. The garlic oil was made in house and really made the ramen full of garlic flavor. The staff is always quick, kind and very accommodating. The edamame also had a nice surprise being seasoned with FRESH garlic and salt. They gave us complimentary yam battered in tempura. I really liked how it was cut like Fries. It was made it more crunchy. We will for sure be coming back. Also, if you eat at Umi sushi, bring your receipt for Half price ramen. read more

I haven't tried the Korean food on the menu, but I've tried most of the ramen here. Definitely better than the ramen places in SLO. The chasu is a little questionable, but the rest of the toppings are good. The broth and noodles are good as well and are pretty standard. The service is nice as well. read more

The food was delicious. Pretty good portions. Our server was ok. Service was fine. We had to grab our own utensils. Nice place for Korean food. Definitely will be back. I had the Honey Chicken which was sweet and tasty. Others had the Teriyaki Chicken and Ttukbaegi Bulgogi All were really delicious I wanted soju but the price was a bit high for a bottle. I am no ramen expert. What I had was much better than the county jail ramen spreads of the 90s. Casual clean restaurant with table service. Server was nice and attentive. My ramen came quickly which was nice as I was in a hurry. I really enjoyed my food and will try again soon. read more

Ramen in Paso Robles?! Who would have thought?! Not bad to be honest! We were craving noodles and saw that Ramen @ 805 had pretty good reviews so we decided to try! Glad we did! Broth was rich and deep with flavor and chicken karagge was pretty good with a yummy dipping sauce! Might visit again when we're are around! read more

Came from Bakersfield 2 hours to try this place out whilst on the way to Morro Bay with my girlfriend as local ramen shops there are "ok" at best. Try this place out, and you'll be amazed at the quality for being so new. Inside the store is roomy and great vibes, music wasn't overly loud. Our food came out fast, although it wasn't super busy at the time we went. No complaints. We tried the Tonkatsu and Black Garlic Oil ramen bowls. Both far superior broths than any other shop in Bakersfield. Noodles were nice and thin, nothing to complain about. The soup to noodle ratio is just perfect, you'll leave very satisfied and filled. Me and my girlfriend will be passing by here each time we hit the beach for sure! read more

Restaurant was neat, clean, and very comfortable. The service was terrific. I was eating alone. The server came and checked on me several times during my visit. The tonkatsu ramen was delicious! And it was beautifully presented... almost too pretty to eat! read more
