Mango curry and tom khai kai
    Leslie T.

Mango curry and tom Khai kai! Delicious! I am Thai myself and approve of this restaurant. We Thai people love food with lots of flavors! We except our food to taste fragrant, herby, spicy, and sour. And this place executed! We came last yr and got it to go, and it happens we're back here again. Delicious! Also, the owners looks like two sweet little women, gives you that feeling you're eating moms cooking. I love it!

I rarely have a bad experience on highly rated Yelp restaurants and unfortunately this place was an exception. They are located in Paso Robles downtown close to the park in the center. Restaurant is not very large and ambiance is typical for a Thai restaurant. Their menu covers most of the usual Thai favorites and we got a few soups, noodles and rice. *chicken chowmein- 2/5- the chowmein was doused in a thick sweet, extremely salty sauce. The dish was very greasy as well. The saltiness seemed to be from excess MSG. It was difficult to complete this dish. *spicy tofu fried rice-2.5/5- this was overdosed with salt as well. Again possibly from MSG. *coconut tofu soup-2.5/5

My GF's and I stumbled across this little hole in the wall place in downtown Paso. It was late and we had just returned from Sensorio. There were 5 of us and they were so nice to quickly accommodate us by putting 2 tables together. We ordered a few dishes- soup, pad thai, 2 types of rolls, eggplant with chicken and mango sticky rice. Everything was so delicious, fresh and flavorful. Everything hit the spot!! We loved this little place and apparently so did a lot of people. There was always people coming in, picking up, etc. The food is delicious and the service is great. I highly recommend this restaurant and would 100% return.

The food seems very authentic. The Drunken Noodles were phenomenal. The cucumber salad was refreshing especially after so much wine at the wineries. We would defiantly come back. The staff was attentive. We will be coming back to try different menu items. The restaurant seemed like a mom and pop place, endearing and authentic. The servers were genuinely happy to serve you. Our glasses of water were kept full.

Not the best thai but not terrible! My mom and I shared Drunken noodles and a panang salmon. The Drunken noodles were way too sweet in my opinion and not spicy at all, but still a tasty noodle. Panang salmon was yummy and the salmon was nice a tender. The coconut taste was delicious too, and plenty of vegetables. Could be slightly more flavorful though. Average prices and really casual ambience. AC wasn't very strong and it was quite warm on a 95 degree day. Service was nice and attentive!

Was in the mood for something soupy given the cold evening we spent at Sensorio. Thai Classic popped up in my search for Pho. It's clearly a family run restaurant. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner. The restaurant is not very large - I would say cozy. We ordered the special pho soup with shrimp, fresh shrimp rolls and chicken satay. I would say that all dishes were delicious but hands down the Pho was phenomenal- the broth had a very umami flavor. Portions were good too. The shrimp roll was fresh and a well portion. The peanut sauce that came with it was tasty. Will definitely recommend this place if your looking for great Pho

I added my rice to the Mango Curry a little at a time. It is very hot when it comes out.

Four of us had lunch here today. Highly recommended by one of the women that was with us. 3 of us ordered the Mango Curry. I hade shrimp in mine. One ordered the Pumpkin Mango with Chicken and said it was delicious. I had never had anything like this before and it was fabulous. I will definitely come back and order this again. Big portions, so lots of leftovers. The only disappointment was the J. Lohr Chardonnay we ordered. Not a very good choice. I didn't even finish mine. The service was great and everyone was so nice. We will be back.

This is my favorite Thai place in Paso. It's the most authentic in my opinion. The staff is always so sweet. We have dined in but mostly take out when I don't feel like cooking. Their pad Thai is perfect balanced being savory, tangy, and sweet. I had their beef noodle soup. It's a mix of pho and Thai boat noodles. It was good, but since I love spicy, the staff gave me fresh Thai chili to add. My go to are usually any of the curries. My husband usually gets the pad seew. Overall, friendly, clean and most important, good food.

Best Thai food in Paso Robles..... Hands down! I've been going to Thai Classic for years and the food quality is always exceptional and consistent. The portions are larger than other Thai restaurants I have been to and the prices are fair. The staff is very friendly and has full knowledge of every item on their extensive menu. A MUST TRY........ The attached picture is of their Basil Pork, one of my favorites.

When we couldn't find last minute reservations in downtown Paso, Thai Classic turned out to hit the spot for dinner. Food was tasty, flavorful and delivered quickly. We enjoyed the tom yum soup, the sizzling seafood platter (a bit of spice), and asparagus shrimp. It's a small, cozy restaurant with efficient wait staff. They take reservations, but there seemed to be a quick turnover for a table if you wait in line.

We took the last available table at 7:30pm on Saturday. The place was packed and our server seemed a little overwhelmed. She was really friendly and understanding though. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat before heading to a party at Serial Wines. After ordering the Fresh Shrimp Rolls and Chicken Satay, we explained we were in a hurry and would go ahead and pay early. Once both appetizers arrived, she brought the check. The Chicken Satay we very juicy and well seasoned. They went well with the cucumber salad and peanut sauce. The Fresh Shrimp Rolls were also very good. Their menu offers many great items. On another trip to Paso Robles, we will try their other dishes.

The meal also came with a bowl of War Wonton Soup. Everything was freshly prepared and made to order. The ingredients tasted fresh, the flavors were well balanced, and every dish was cooked properly. The standout item for us was the Chow Fun Noodles with Beef. The tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles made it the highlight of the meal. Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!

You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.
