I used to work in the area, so every now and then, I'd have a meal at this place. I absolutely love the ramen especially the mazesoba which was the first thing that was recommended to me. Eventually I tried some of the other ramen that's on the menu. The staff was so nice too!

The food was not bad for sure, but the service was so rude! My mom and brother came for dinner on a Wednesday. We shared two salads and a chicken karaage, and each got a ramen. The chicken karaage was my favorite part of the meal; juicy, crispy, well seasoned, and piping hot. The aka ramen was good but very salty and not as rich as I'd like. Also, it wasn't as hot as I thought it'd be. The maze soba here was pretty solid! Salads were refreshing and flavorful. There seemed to only be one worker when we went. She had attitude from start to finish. Kept asking us if we were ready to order when we weren't and walked away aggressively each time. My mom asked for extra napkins and she slammed them on our table?! Not sure what her problem was, but it made the overall dining experience awkward and unpleasant. The place itself was clean with anime music blasting in the background.

Ramen Arashi is in the strip mall and there are plenty of parking (just need to walk a little). I ordered a black garlic oil ramen and chicken KaraAge. The ramen taste authentic though the portion is on the lighter side. The chicken KaraAge is $10 for 4 piecesc- comparatively speaking the taste is not as impressive and is on the pricier side. The service is ok as well (the waiter wasn't too thrilled it looks like as there is only 1 for 5 tables) . The ambience is ok as there are plenty of seating and tables. I would think the place is ok for a quick bite but not much as memorable.

Walked in on a Tuesday night for an early dinner at 5:30 pm and noticed a couple things off. First there were no other customers and second there was a very faint smell of "restroom". We ordered the Edamame, Hiyayakko, Chashu Don, & Spicy Maze Soba and all were somewhat disappointing. The edamame were slightly tough/undercooked. The Hiyayakko had good flavor but there were hard pieces of fried garlic(?) that felt like I was chewing small pebbles. The Chashu Don was made with dry pulled pork instead of Chashu, however it was decent with the mayo and was good portion for the cost. The Spicy Maze Soba also came with dry pulled pork instead of Chashu and no ground pork as advertised. The bamboo and mushrooms were cold/lukewarm as if pulled straight out of the can. The only redeeming quality was that the noodles were fresh and had nice chewy texture. Service was friendly and prompt, and the food came out quickly which was nice. I don't know if something changed recently, but the quality of food did not match the reviews here in yelp.

Came here on a Saturday with a party of four and was immediately seated. I ordered the kuro ramen with edamame as my appetizer. My friends ordered the chicken katsu curry, siro ramen, and arashi ramen (monster ramen). The edamame was delicious, steaming hot, and seasoned with some flaky sea salt. The kuro ramen was so yumm, the black garlic oil added a level of depth to the amazing tonkatsu broth that had been boiled for over 15 hours! They did not skimp on the quantity of food in this, and there was a pretty large amount of bean sprouts that I wasn't a fan of (maybe 50/50 on bean sprouts and ramen noodles) so if this is an issue for you I recommend requesting to adapt your order to have more or less, depending on your preference. The chicken katsu curry was breaded so well, and the curry was very reasonably priced too! I'd definitely order this next time given the chance, the portion sizes and amount of protein you get is definitely bang for your buck. Come support a small business and try Ramen Arashi, you won't be disappointed!

Portion size is huge! Very tasty ramen with an amazing portion of noodles, meat, and veggies making you completely full. The lady who I assume is the owner that served us was very kind. Seated us, served us our drinks and food. Great small business. It was so good, my husband wanted to come back the next day. He was able to order togo take out since they were closing at a specific time. My only con is: There is only one restroom and the handle for the toilet is a tad wonky when flushing.

I went here on a recommendation of a colleague. It was really great. Super selection of ramen and good spice level when ordered that way. Really flavorful and quick service.

This is a hidden gem for a small ramen place at a corner of the plaza next to ranch 99 market! I got the original shiro ramen that's light refreshing but rich that's paired with thin ramen noodle. I would definitely get this again since I prefer regular tonkotsu flavor over miso or shoyu. My partner got the Arashi ramen that's more meaty/richer and this is paired with the thicker ramen noodle. I personally prefer the shiro over this. We also got fried calamari legs and seaweed salad that are also pretty good.

*LOCATION* This small ramen shop is located in the same plaza as the Ranch 99 asian grocery market. There's a parking lot (free) but it's usually hard to find a spot during mealtimes or weekends :( *WAIT TIME* My bf and I visited last Tuesday around 7:15pm. There were only a few tables eating at the time so we didn't have to wait to be seated. After we finished ordering, more people started trickling in. *FOOD* -Arashi shoyu ramen: broth was light and flavorful, noodles were a good consistency, pork was tasty, yummy scallops and toppings -Kuro (black roasted garlic oil): thick and full-bodied broth, good amount of toppings *SERVICE* The waiter was friendly and brought waters out for us right when we sat down. It also didn't take long for our ramen to come out. *AMBIENCE* This cute little shop has some nice décor inside. I love the modern light fixtures, wood accents and the big wall with various anime characters. It's definitely the right place for a bowl of ramen on a cold day!

    * BEWARE COMING ON THE WEEKEND. GETS HARD TO FIND PARKING Service was quick and also friendly. Ramen itself was truly authentic and tasted so good. I got their black garlic ramen. I'd say if you're craving ramen, this place will satisfy it. This place doesn't include an egg for you though. I thought the amount of food for the price point that gave was enough. They even have a ramen that is worth $13, so you can get something real quick for something cheap of such high quality. I wish the roasted pork slices provided were just alittle bit thicker since I thought it was pretty thin. Other than that, great place!

Pretty sure this is run by real Japanese staff, they speak the language and I don't mean a simple "welcome" with drumroll type of thing. Not sure why it took so long to visit here, perhaps it's the food court next door at 99 Ranch. A pretty small but straightforward menu. The dry ramen is a nice choice from the regular miso or spicy soup base most places serve. It is dry so be ready for that...I ended up taking about 3 spoons of soup from my partner's bowl but mixing it all together, I'd get this again. The Arashi special is also equally pleasing to the eye and tummy. Was really quiet on a Saturday lunch hour, maybe they do a lot more business around dinner time but it's a nice place to hang out solo or with friends, or a small family. High chair available :)

    Chicken Katsu Curry Special Plate

Service is really goood, feels like right out of Japan with the music and tastes. You gotta try the katsu curry, it's absolutely delicious. We come atleast once a week whenever we want food outside.

We were able to scan the menu at our table and paid quickly remotely. Our food came out on a timely manner. We were able to try the Clam ramen, Hinodeya ramen, and the Tonkatsu. They were all delicious and very much to our liking. Presentation is something i noticed they take pride in. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly, the decorations on the front entrance is what lured us in. The tables all had a tiny lamp that you can turn on and off. They were all attentive to our needs and constantly filled up our water and took empty dish away when the table started to feel tight/crowded. All Ramen we tried had the WOW bursting with flavors. I highly recommend this place.

From M-F, 11:30am-2pm (closing) for just $19.90, you get to pick one of the ramen bowls, and one of appetizers that are listed (at half the size). Here's what we got: FRIED OYSTERS (5) - $12 This was not one of the appetizer options to the lunch specials but sis really needed her fried oysters, haha. This comes with a side of creamy sauce that tasted like a yummy potato salad. It was awesome! The fried oysters were very hot to be careful, and it was very much enjoyed even though it scraped the roof of my mouth, haha. TONKOTSU RAMEN - $16.95 Tonkotsu (Pork Broth) chashu pork, green onion, yellow onion, soft boiled egg, fried green onion, kikurage mushroom. I'm happy that we get a WHOLE egg and not just half! Everything about this bowl was so good and creamy! GYOZA (6) - $8 Chicken/Veggie pan fried post stickers. The lunch specials only come with 3 pieces, and I'm always happy when your savory finger food comes with a dip! No complaints here! KARAAAGE (6) - $10 Fried Boneless Chicken. The lunch specials only come with 3 pieces, but they are huge! Juicy dark meat pieces, with a nice creamy srirarcha dipping sauce! Also hot, so be careful! It just means it's fresh! They have a back room that was nice and quiet. You can smell the fresh clean laundry from the laundromat next door, haha. The service was great, and everyone was so nice and attentive. It is very delicious, but if you've had regular tonkotsu ramen before, I highly recommend trying the Kuro or Aka! 5/5 - Kuro Tonkotsu Ramen - The black garlic oil really enhances the tonkotsu flavor in a smoky, umami way. If you haven't tried a black garlic oil broth, I highly recommend you try it here! You will not be disappointed. 5/5 - Aka Tonkotsu Ramen - My personal favorite of the ramen bowls we all tried here. The spicy level can be adjusted and was exactly the spice level we thought it would be (we chose Level 2). The flavor is a bit more elevated than the regular tonkotsu ramen, likely from the spice that you should not find too overwhelming. 5/5 - Chashu Don (Appetizer) - The rice and chashu makes this its own little meal and is super savory and filling...as an appetizer! This is great to share with your party, and it seems to taste differently from the chashu you get in your ramen. You won't regret trying this! 5/5 - Chicken Karaage (Appetizer) - The chicken in this dish was very juicy, and the portions were huge! The sauce they give also compliments this well. You won't be disappointed with choosing this for an appetizer.

LENT 2026: GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH…read more The first time I ate at Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar was the last Saturday of February for my mom's birthday. We had a private room for the party. Out of food that was served I really enjoyed eating the sashimi, which was presented on a platter. I also liked grilled salmon. During Lent I wanted to come back to Toro for lunch. I thought about getting sashimi or grilled salmon when I came back. A couple days before coming to Toro for Good Friday lunch I looked at the menu online. Why pay for the dishes I ate before? One of the dishes that intrigued me was the baked unagi fried rice. However the baked salmon fried rice sounded enticing. Also one of the appetizers sounded interesting was the sashimi pizza. My plan was to order an appetizer and an entree for Good Friday lunch. On Friday when I got a table I looked at the menu. The lunch special listed unagi don. Then I started thinking to myself. Why do I have to eat only fish on Fridays during Lent? Vegetables are permitted during Lent Fridays. I looked at the salad menu and one item intrigued me was the avocado salad. Instead of getting a sashimi pizza for an appetizer I choose avocado salad. Knowing a salad would not be filling I ordered the crispy salmon skin roll. For entree I ordered the unagi don. I'll start with the crispy salmon. A lot of people don't like to eat crispy skin of a fish. I love it. The crispy salmon skin roll is a filling roll due to the sauce, which adds flavor to the rice. Instead of a roll I would like to see crispy skin salmon as an appetizer as it would be similar to a chicharron. Regarding the avocado salad I liked how avocado wasn't skimpy in portion. There's one thing I don't like in salad and that is water. I understand cleaning the lettuce to get rid of the dirt, but the lettuce better be dry instead of water dripping at the bottom on the bowl. I came here for the unagi don. I felt I made a right decision of ordering the unagi don instead of the baked unagi fried rice. With the steamed rice I could taste the eel whereas the fried rice would've overpowered the eel. The unagi don was a filling dish and I believe if I ordered a baked unagi fried rice I would have felt bloated. On this last Friday during Lent I enjoyed my lunch at Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar. I liked the sashimi that was served for my mom's birthday party than what I ordered during Good Friday. I can see myself coming here again. Maybe next time I try the stone grill items.

Surprisingly, I didn't find it spicy at all, and it still felt too oily for my taste. This visit, I decided to try the vegetarian ramen instead. I enjoyed the basil aroma, and the cheese added a nice flavor to the broth. However, even with the oil level set to 1, I still found it much too oily. That said, I know my opinion may be influenced by the fact that I'm generally not a fan of Japanese ramen. While the flavors were enjoyable, the richness and oiliness just aren't for me. I also don't really understand the long wait times, though it's obvious that many people love this place.
