Very disappointed of this place! First and last time I will ever come here. The lady that sat us down had so much attitude and wasn't attentive. Yes the place was busy but you can't tell a customers "next time when we call you you have to answer" when she told us that we showed her our call long showing her that they didn't call us and we didn't have any missed calls. She still said "we did call so answer next time". When she was taking our order she was giving us attitude. Once they gave us our food after 5mins they took it away. Thankfully we didn't touch the food. She gave us the wrong order and took it to the right table. She didn't ask us if we touched it or ate from it. Been passing by this place for weeks so I decided to take the mans to try it out. I'm a vegetarian so my choices were a bit limited but my boyfriend says the small plates we ordered were quite good. I ordered the veggie shoyu and took out the tomatoes and added egg, jalapeño and chili oil (which were all additional charges). Mans had the beef udon with again additional egg and chili oil. Overall our food was really good, definitely really full. However I do think the additional charges on the extra were a bit much, the veggie broth was almost tasteless and their tofu was the same. What made it flavorful was the addition of chili oil and egg, so I'm a bit disappointed. However the beef udon seemed really good per my mans opinion, he says they cooked the beef really good. Decided to try Ramen boy based on the great reviews. Plus I'm all about supporting new local businesses. The restaurant was very clean,we were seated immediately. Our waiter Josh was very polite he explained the menu and the different broths. My kids ordered the Tori ramen. After looking at the menu I realized they didn't have a variety of sushi. I was bummed. I decided on the California roll, and egg rolls. Our food came very quick! Unfortunately my kids didn't like the ramen and they love ramen! My two older kids weren't crazy about the ramen, they said the noodles were chewy and the broth smelled funny to them. However my youngest refused to eat hers because of the smell and as she said " a film to it" I let Josh our waiter know and he kindly took it away. He came back to our table and let me know that he spoke to the manager to see if I could get it taken off my bill and the manager said I would still have to pay for the ramen that my daughter didn't eat. As for my egg rolls; a few of them were cold in the middle, I didn't even bother letting them know because I didn't want to seem petty plus they probably wouldn't have done anything anyway. The California roll was meh. I found the visit extremely disappointing on the managers part. My daughter only had a bite , it's not like it was half eaten. We stopped here for a quick bite, and they have extensive menu to choose from. Wife had Tori miso ramen which had great flavor. I had their beef Yakisoba with Ramen noodle, it was one of the best I've eaten. Not overly sweet and huge amounts of beef and veggies. Also their small plate items are really good, must try their Loaded Mussels, really good. And best of all, their service was one of the best in the area. Very tentative to all customers there. First time trying this restaurant out, food was great but customer service needs some work. Walking in there is a sign that says "have a seat, wait to be seated" so I did exactly that, it had been a good 10 minutes of me waiting, a couple walks in and an employee comes out of no where and grabs a menu for the couple and completely disregards my presence, didn't even acknowledge that I had been waiting. My go to!! I've been here plenty of times and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal with a serene environment. They got a blossom tree sittting in the middle of the restaurant.. I mean come on!! Anything you order will not disappoint. I'd recommend the yakisoba with your choice of meat. If you're really into ramen you'll be satisfied with anything you choose. I was super excited to try this place had heard great things, we get there and are standing for about 10 minutes before anybody acknowledges us. Multiple servers walked past us there's a sign that says please wait so we were waiting once other people come in they start asking them if they're waiting for a seat okay no big deal I let them know that we have been there longer it was our first time we were exactly sure what to do, sign in on the sign in sheets. Wait for the table to be cleaned then my son and I take a seat. Again another long wait before our drink order is taken by a trainee. We ordered two waters and one Thai tea when our drinks come it is one water and one Thai tea. No big deal, we place our food order we order to Ramen's, two edamame's, one shumai and one mixed tempura appetizers. Our Ramen comes out before any of the appetizers. Again not a big deal the Ramen is like lukewarm the broth is not hot as I've had at other Ramen shops. I don't say anything I just wait for the rest of our food which proceeds to come out sporadically. Appetizers finally arrive after we are done with our Ramen. We received one edamame, the next item we received is the shumai which were delicious and I am usually not a fan of these. Then we receive the tempura. Our last edamame never arrives but I did notice the waitress walking past our table to people who were sat way after us and delivering their edamame which was the one we had ordered. The food was good the service was the issue. I understand a lot of people are short staffed during this time which I do try to take him to a fact I don't ever try to be a problem when we go out to eat but it seemed like there was no rhyme or reason to what the servers were doing. I did notice one girl working extremely hard the other two seemed a bit lazy I guess good help it's hard to find these days. I did hear the people at the table behind us complaining as well as their order was also wrong and they never received items they had ordered. Me and my family of 3 decided to go to ramen boy for lunch and got the worst service possible we waited for a little bit over a hour and we were patient because they were low on staff but then we realized that everyone was being served but us even though we were there before them. We asked the waitress how long our food would be and she gave us a terrible explanation on why everyone was getting served and not us and then about 5-10mins later she came with our food that finally arrived and set it down and then I asked why it was cold and then she snatched the food and she yelled "you can just leave don't eat it then" and as she snatched it she almost spilled it over my niece's phone and she took our food. left and maid us leave as well. Came here for a quick lunch on New Years Eve, the place was pretty much empty, my daughter loves ramen so I decided to give it a second try. I got the "cheese me" ramen and she got the lime cilantro again. We also got the jalapeños and baked mussels. We ordered with a young male waiter and waited.. after about 10 minutes I noticed the couple that came in after us was served but didn't think much maybe our appetizers are taking longer...3 more tables that walked in after us were served so I'm looking around like what's happening.. Almost 30 minutes had passed! A female waitress comes by and asks if we ordered I tell her yes, she leaves.. comes back about 5 minutes later and says I'm sorry we don't have an order for your table. I said excuse me? You've got to be kidding me..nope.. so I said we gave our order to the male waiter she says sorry but he left for the day. That's it... so we've just been sitting here for almost 40 minutes and all we got was a sorry? It was so nonchalant like it happens all the time or something. So we order... again. The ramen comes out before the appetizers... I'm tempted to just cancel them but babygirl really wanted it so I leave it be. Now let me tell you something... the ramen was bomb! However the mussels may have been old because the shells were literally falling apart and bits and pieces of it are mixed into the food so when we started eating them it was like chewing glass with your food smh. It was bad, and that's a choking hazard. If you look at the picture you can see the mussels are chipped. My updated review is for the service and the mussels... I don't know if Ramen Boy is better than Love Ramen over on Ave L & 30th St West but I am willing to go to each of these about ten more times to try and find out. Went on a Saturday night and it was full. Had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a table. Waiter was nice. I ordered the KatsuCurry bowl but what came out was YakiSoba. It looked so good i told the waiter I would take it anyway. Glad I did. It was delicious. Ordered some Gyoza and it was OK. It is really hard to find great Gyoza. Thank God for another good ramen spot in the Antelope Valley. We need more good food out here. Ordered the Cilantro Lime ramen it had really good flavor and the broth was outstanding. This will be my new go to ramen spot when I'm out here. Also grand opening special 99 cent beer can't beat that. They have a good selection of ramen from chicken to pork to vegetarian, you can also substitute for spinach noodles if your into that sort of thing.
