We came from church and did some shopping on the way home we were looking at the local chain food but across Rosemead behind the King Taco there is a strip mall we saw and spotted Ramirez Ranch Market Carnicera and Cocina. My wife and I decided to check it out. On the outside it had taco special and other specials. We walked in and the kitchen is to your right and meat counter to your left. This is a mom and pop family owned. Older adults and older children working together. A young lady about 18 was a great very good customer service spokeswoman. Food fresh Chicharróns made there chorizo also made there. Good size meat counter it has also refrigerated drinks alcoholic and sodas and drinks. Also a mini market fruits and vegetables spices My wife grabbed the the taco special 3 tacos and 1can soda good price and I got a carnitas burrito carnitas are available during the weekends. Didn't take long. Great customer service and very friendly. The tacos has a good amount of meat and well seasoned. My burrito was good size. For the price. My wife says tacos were the bomb my wife gives hi marks. My burrito tortillas are quality not sure if home made or vendor but definitely good. Burrito well packed with beans rice and salsa. Damn good burrito! Establishment very clean and well attended price fairly good. As I have said at times price maybe a little high but remember this is a mom and pop, unlike chain they make fresh some of the food and like the chorizo are fresh. So it's there personal labor. My visit & prices are based on 5/12/26 I came into Ramirez Ranch Market to check out what they sold and prices and glad I stopped by. The plate I got was the chili verde plate which comes with rice,beans and tortillas. I found the pork chili verde to be home cooked food quality which is a compliment. The meat was perfectly cooked and the chili verde was perfectly flavored and not too salty. The rice was soft and beans had good flavor and went well with the rest of the meal. When I finished eating I actually wish I had more because it was so pleasant. The chorizo taco was fantastic because it's the same chorizo they sell in their meat counter so it's super fresh. The chorizo had the right amount of spice and a slight cinnamon taste to it which might just be my taste buds. I'll definitely return to get Chorizo from the meat counter to make at home. Everything was great but the star of the order was the carne asada tacos. The tacos only cost $2.19 and the meat quality is something you'd expect in a $3+ taco. I honestly am on a diet but will to come back here on my cheat day of the month to get chorizo and asada tacos. They do various combos such a 3 tacos and a soda for $6.99 Burrito combo I believe was $10.99 and comes with a coke The plate meals are $12.99 and also worth the price if you're wanting something more filling like a home cooked meal. They also have a separate room selling groceries, veggies, fruits and other goods. I was pretty shocked they also have in house made fresh salsa, guacamole and chips. The staff are also really nice and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to answer questions and overall great ambiance. In a time of overly priced food and quality not being a priority this place is an absolute gem. This place seems to understand its customer base and make it an importance to offer affordable food without skimming on quality. Luckily I'm walking distance to Ramirez Ranch Market. The service was top notch. I tried the tacos a few times and they are very delicious. The menudo was excellent. As for the shopping, they have all you need for Mexican cooked meals. I only make my sauces from scratch here for chilaquiles and or chicken pozole verdes. On to the butcher section. I'm not sure where some of you are going, but this place is BOMB! We've been driving to this market for at least 20 years, even now, from N. Fontana. You cannot fail with the carne asada or the pollo asada. Everytime we serve their asadas to guests we're invariably asked for Huejar's name and address. Our guests almost always say "it's the best I've ever eaten." If you're not used to family owned meat markets, you may not understand your experience at Huejar. The owners aren't put though rigorous personality tests or customer service courses so they will not be like the cheese gal at Whole Foods. The owners are not likely to have gone to any marketing and presentation courses, so the shelves won't be arranged so you'll buy more product, like at Ralph's. Yes, and the market will still be required to meet Food Safety standards. We frequently drive the 37 miles to get their asadas because they are that good. I've been to MANY meat markets, I'm no rookie. Huejar won't impress your eyes, but you can be sure it's just straight up great asada. read more

I live in N Fontana but I used to live near this market. I go for the carne asada and chicharons and salsa and quac. Only problem is the mom or pop there always over charges us. And I always have to point it out. The mans excuse once was he was sick and made a mistake. Ya a 20 dollar mistake. The older lady did that once and acted like she push the wrong number on debit machine, for 15 bucks more so I had to buy more cause she didn't know how to cancel purchase or refund me. My son went in bought pork rinds that were 15 bucks and lady charged him 30. He asked her how much a lb and made her weigh it again and 15 dollars less. They just act stupid when you catch them or make up excuses. To bad their food is good enough to put up with their cat and mouse games. They use the derogatory term "paisa" to refer to customers whom they assume not to speak English. They lecture you about cost when you attempt to pay with a credit card for a few items. I'm never buying anything from this meat market ever! I bought frozen hiva for $8 and it turned out that it had expired since March, we're now in June. I take it back and they won't refund me. The guy tells me, "It's still good, we keep it frozen this whole time since we don't sell much of it". No regard to the expiration date whatsoever and no regard to someone's health. Aside from getting ripped off for buying expired hiva, I bought chicken and the quality is horrible. My girlfriend ate it and got sick, I wasn't as bad. As a result they lost a customer. I went on Labor day and when i walked in I was a bit skeptical, I dont know if the coolers had been down or if there was an issue but when I ordered my meat the guy pulled it out of a bucket. I thought to myself hey how bad can it be. Needless to say I took it home cooked the food and it was like that guy pulled out a magic trick. The "Carne Asada Ranchera Preparada", (marinated flap steak), is the best in all of Los Angeles. I have tried very many different ones, and I have also marinated my own, but nothing compares to the way they cut and marinate theirs. I know of several people who drive a long way just to come get this style of meat here. I highly recommend it. I'm a first generation Mexican American and you can bet my opinion is valid.
