That kind of customer service matters and it definitely saved the experience from being a total letdown. That said, the vibe was... strange. I pulled up and genuinely thought the place was closed. It was completely empty, no cars, no staff visible, nothing. It felt like a zombie zone. I sat there confused for a minute until someone randomly appeared and waved me in. Even when I went to pay afterward, there was nobody around again, which added to the whole uneasy, deserted feeling. What was extra surprising is that it was a Tuesday special, so I expected at least some traffic. Seeing it that dead was honestly concerning, especially given how highly rated this place is on Yelp. As for the wash itself, I paid about $50 for a wash with wax and I don't think I'd do that again. I actually watched them wash the car and didn't see anything particularly special that justified the price. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't impressive. I also tried the massage chairs out front while waiting, which cost $5 for 15 minutes, and I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Totally not worth it, especially sitting there alone in an empty lot. Overall, the staff was kind and helpful, and that's the main reason this isn't a lower rating, but the odd atmosphere, pricing, and mismatch between expectations and reality mean I probably won't be back.

When I had an older car it was quick and easy to run it through a drive through car wash but those can scratch and mess up your paint. With a brand new car, I am definitely treating it a plenty more delicately. I almost went to EZ Clean Car Wash in Upland, but my dad told me it would be better to go to Good Tyme Car Wash for more bays, wider bays, less wait, and better pricing. Since my dad washes his car and my mom's car almost every weekend, he is definitely the subject matter expert in the area, so I took his advise and went to Good Tyme Car Wash. Pricing is $2.50 for 4 minutes or $5 for 12 minutes. They accept bills, coins or CREDIT CARD. Yay! I am team credit card. If you use your card you are committing to a minimum of $5 and an additional $1 for 1 min 40 sec added after the original time. I probably spent 15 minutes in the bay area since it was my first visit in a long time and I was still getting accommodated to the equipment. With each visit I am confident that I will work more efficiently. I just went with the recommended order: Tire Cleaner, PreSoak, Soap, Foaming Brush, Rinse, Triple Foam, RainX Surface Protectant, Clear Coat Protectant and then Spot Free Rinse. Some bays had the equipment labeled but mine did not so I had to observe which equipment went off when I moved the dial to the selected function. It definitely used up a lot of my time figuring out the equipment. Drying and vacuuming is not allowed in the washing bays and it is in another area in the back to prevent folks from spending too much time in the bays. I brought my own drying equipment and was easily to quickly dry up my car. A romantic outing with a rainbow for me and my baby on its' first spa day! I can definitely see myself frequenting this place for their equipment and decent pricing. It was really good bonding time for my car and I. Highly recommended if you don't trust drive through car wash or a third party for washing your car. I must warn you though... it was quite the upper body work out!

My daughter had spilled her melted ice cream in the back seat, I had been using my passenger side seat as a table for late night drive-thru dinners after work and taking night classes. My car looked like a wreck. Seriously, I was disgusted to have anyone get a ride from me due to how bad it looked. I took it to a car wash by work to have my car "detailed". This car wash place assured me that all the stains (grease and ice cream) would be taken out and my car would be "like new". They only charged me $100, which I thought was a great deal. Turns out, they didn't do anything more than vacuum, shampoo, and add air fresher; those stains lived on. This brings me to Mountain View. I called ahead and the nice young woman on the phone assured me the stains would come out, as she expressed confidence in her crew. I paid twice as much as the other car wash place, but guess what? The stains are GONE! Also, my car, quite literally, looks like new (again)! I was ecstatic to see my car looking so nice again! My only complaint is that they don't have those plastic liners to put over your seats after a detail. This means I had to drive home and get my clothes all wet from the detail job. If they can fix this (and, as a fellow Yelper suggested, offer an air freshener), this place would definitely be five stars.
