I am so in love with this place. I gave up on my pho place in Poway and I found this place. It's next to the Ramona Noodle place. So, I called on a Saturday - about 5, to place an order. My order was done so quickly! I think this place is just a big secret because it wasn't too crowded. I ordered grilled tofu in the vegetarian spring rolls. Two orders, one for today I'm getting so hungry talking about them! 2 rice paper rolls stuffed with grilled tofu, lettuce, fresh mint bean sprouts & vermicelli noodles. This photo does not do it justice! Served with peanut sauce. So good - everything is so absolutely fresh - crispy vegetables. And the Stir fried egg noodle dish -crispy - OMG! I wasn't prepared for the "bird nest" noodles but was so wonderfully surprised (they need to put bird's nest noodles and more people would buy it - came with a bright tasting brown vegetarian sauce and amazing with the -vegetables and grilled tofu - (I ordered it that way). I did not touch the color on the photo. This was such a luxurious meal. So, they have a Buddha and what most people know who know Buddhists and their restaurants --Buddhist who own restaurants know how to cook fresh and keep everything clean - and they will not cheat you. It becomes giving you an amazing experience because it's really to honor Buddha - to make you happy. I mean, I wish all restaurants were owned by Buddhists. So don't be all weird when you see the Buddha out front. Seriously. Having spent a lot of time in fantastic Asia and India - the restaurants - this is very comparable. With everything going on right now in the fields and vegetable rotting in the dirt because of ICE raids, they have sourced their venders with care and can offer amazingly FRESH vegetables. Usually when I comment about vegetables in my reviews, it's to only describe them as, Meh. Not this place!!! Looks like a great date location. It's only 20 minutes from Poway. And a world away from Pho Ca Dao in Poway that NEVER gets my order right, not only not-right, you pick it up and you're paying for something more expensive - that you don't want That place is so wrong. This place is a keeper! Finding this place was like that moment when you hear angels singing aaaaaahhhhhhh I ordered take-out, but this will be one of mine and my husband's weekend places now. Food is absolutely horrible and the employees are even more horrible, I ordered a number 13 which is a three meat pho When they brought my pho I saw nothing but straight fat/grizzle inside the pho it was absolutely disgusting, when I notified the waiter he gave me lots of dirty looks and refused to remake the order or even Bring actual meat, instead he rudely told me to leave and I don't need to pay. They obviously don't care about there customers in addition the bathrooms did were very dirty and dated and also had no hand washing soap. Save your time and money and just go down the hill Mira mesa has some of the best pho restaurants. read more

Why is this place not more popular?? It deserves all the excellent reviews--a terrific little mom & pop Vietnamese joint tucked in the corner of the Albertson's shopping center in Ramona. They keep the windows covered to keep it cooler inside--definitely not running the AC in the summer; you'll feel like you might be in Vietnam. This makes it hard to see from the outside. There's an inferior noodle place in the same row, so maybe some people confuse the two places? The family that runs the place are from Da Nang, as the many colorful paintings on the walls attest to. For me, it's all about vegetarian options, and Ramona Pho makes a fresh and satisfying vegan pho, as well as a great bún chay and crispy properly fried cha goi chay. I love Ramona Pho. A great pho place here in Ramona! I came here on a Monday night and got dinner for take out. I ordered and it only took maybe 8 minutes for them to be ready with two bowls of pho for me and an order of pork dumplings. They have some sauces and chopsticks for you to quickly grab for the order. They separate the broth and noodles and also put the meat and veggies in separate bags for you to add in. The broth was delicious and meat was tasty! The dumplings were super delicious - flavorful and the sauce to dip in was a great addition. Overall a really solid dinner and worth the price! read more

I think there's only a few restaurants in Ramona that are really good and Ramona and Grill is one of them. The staff is always friendly and quick at getting your food to you. The Ramona Pho #1 item, is such great value, taste great too! They had the rare steak and meatballs too that I already ate. Everything including the BEEF rib for only $18.99. I think that's a good deal bc if you go to any other pogo place and add meat balls or beef rib, it's going to get real pricey. read more

Ramona locals, look no further! Fairly new pho restaurant and the only Pho restaurant at the moment. Also great stop after a long hike or winery and totally worth the drive to check them out! They're located in the Albertsons plaza with plenty of parking. They offer apps, pho, various types of dry noodles, rice and bánh mì. Open 7 days a week from 10-8pm with lunch M-F from 11-3. Pay in cash and you'll save 3%! There are patio seatings and two identical dining rooms. One could easily be a private room if they decide to add in sliding barn doors to allow guests to host an event. We ordered: -Sweet & spicy crispy wings: Large wings, great flavor. Sweet but not spicy. Juicy and cooked well. -pho: We ordered a mixture of meat that's not on their menu. The broth was fragrant, clear and tasty. Didn't taste MSG. -stir fry flat rice combo: my go to dish when I dine at a new place and it passed the test. The flat rice noodles had a nice char. It's a bit bland but better than sodium. My favorite was the beef because it was sliced super thin and wasn't chewy. -meatball bánh mì: Its basically America meatballs with marinara sauce. If they made their meatballs in house, that would be a different story. When you walk in, you automatically smell the aroma of pho and I left with my clothes smelling like that too. That's when you know a pho place is legit when the broth has been simmering 10+ hours. My fiancé is a pho snob and quite picky. He approves of this place and we'll be back again. Overall, friendly service by auntie/uncle/niece (Jasmin), fair prices, nice atmosphere with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, and delicious food. This little Vietnamese Family Owned and Operated Foodie Paradise is definitely a great addition to the restaurant collection of Ramona. I've eaten at hundreds of San Diego Restaurants and must say never have I found a a place that makes better Fried Shrimp than here. They are nice and large, breaded and fried perfectly. Tender, Flavorful and mouth watering. This is my go to place for Fried Shrimp. Other appetizers I love here are The Fried Calamari, Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls and Pot Stickers. The list of Authentic Entrees is large with a great selection and are done well. I've included the full menu shown in my photos. Today I had The #43 Stir Fried Cubed Beef Filet Mignon. It was very flavorful but I found it not as tender as I would have liked. They make all their own Dipping Sauces in house and they are excellent. I especially love the house made Chile Oil. Spicy but a great flavor. I haven't tried The Pho Menu yet but I hear it's quite good. On this visit I was the only table without a Large Bowl in front of me. Next on my list. The family has always given me first class table service. Lots of parking and plenty of seating inside. Well worth a visit. read more

Service was great and this is the closest to home cooked pho in the area. Not many pho places around here to begin with. The broth is a bit watered down though..and wondering if that's due to the preference of the demographic area... the eggrolls are great though. We've done takeout here about a dozen times since their opening and have never been disappointed. Our go-to is the pho tai (rare beef noodle soup) and it's always spot-on: aromatic, flavorful, hearty, and comforty. My husband always requests it when he's feeling under the weather or needs a pick me up. Fresh, high quality ingredients and huge portions - a large order is usually enough for two lighter meals, or one delightful food coma. I've also ventured into the rice vermicelli section of the menu when the husband wants pho but I'm not feeling the soup vibes and also have not been let down. The noodles and crispy vegetables nicely balance out the beautifully marinated and seared proteins on top. *chef-kiss* The service is always efficient, delightful , and warm. They have a lovely dining area as well, which is usually pretty quiet given that most people come for takeout. I also appreciate that their dine-in tables are separated from the lobby/takeout area so you can enjoy a meal without being disturbed by all the to-go traffic hustling back and forth. For being the only Vietnamese restaurant "up the mountain", they set the bar high - we no longer need to drive down the hill to have a pho-tastic meal. We'll keep coming back! read more

Stopped by after a long day and desperately needed a sandwich. I ordered the BBQ beef Banh mi to go and it was tasty. The beef was juicy and delicious. I really liked that they gave me the pickled veggies wrapped in a bag so the bread wouldn't get soggy on the drive home. They even had the jalapeños separate from the carrots and such, in case you wanted to adjust the spice. I did order a tofu sandwich with no mayo and it had mayo, so that was a little disappointing. I scraped it off as best as I could. Double check your takeout order if someone has food aversions, just in case. The restaurant itself is pretty cute, nice lighting, relaxing atmosphere, and tons of seating. This isn't my regular Banh mi place up here, but it is definitely worth another visit because of the convenience. read more

I finally got in to check out one of Ramona's newer restaurants, Ramona Pho & Grill! Overall I was super impressed and will definitely be visiting again soon. They specialize in Vietnamese cuisine featuring an expansive menu that is similar to other like establishments. The restaurant has a bright, clean, airy vibe. The staff here is incredibly welcoming, friendly and personable. The banquettes here are somewhat awkward and uncomfortable. The back leans so far from the table, you kind of have to scoot forward to eat. I ordered the "Special Combo Fried Rice" (#57). As with any house very special combo dish it comes with beef, chicken and shrimp. The fried rice is prepared with long grain rice, stir-fried with onions, carrots, peas and eggs in a mandarin sauce. The meal was outstanding and so beautifully presented! The chicken and shrimps were tender, succulent and perfectly cooked. The beef leaned more to the dry and tough side however. The tables feature an assortment of thoughtful condiments. I particularly appreciated the chili oil which added a nice, fragrant spice to my dish. Highly recommended. read more

Here is my full review: Customer service: - At the time of writing this, I have already gone back! I get my stuff to go and they nice folks working always greet me with a smile and great service. The place has been very clean both times I have visited. 10/10 Wait time: - 10-15 mins for an order of this size is great! It has been toward the end of the day so it may be busier during the day. 10/10 Presentation: - For to go orders, I base this off of packaging of the order and they do an incredible job! Soup and noodles packed separately to avoid noodles getting too soft. No issues with any forgotten items or sauces or issues spilling on the commute back home. 10/10 Taste: - The Bun Bo Hue had a very flavorful broth and the noodles were nice thick with a bouncy texture. - Spring rolls had the perfect ratio of ingredients and don't for a second skimp out on the beef! - Both Egg rolls and Potstickers remained crispy all the way home and had had a good amount of filling. Tasty as well! - Their meatball is their best seller of the Bahn Mi and I can see why. Very well seasoned and Juicy meatballs in a tomato based sauce. The pickled veg provides the acid to cut the richness of the sauce. 9/10 Price: Total came out to around $65 before tip, which isn't too bad for an order of this size. My family and I visited Ramona Pho & Grill after a visit to Mtn Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch. The service and visit was fantastic. Food was great, tasty and filling. Flavors were excellent and the portions were perfect. The young lady who served us provided excellent service and very accommodating. Decor and atmosphere was just great. The bench seating had huge pillows for us to use and rest against. We visited from Oceanside, and will definitely head back just to visit this place. The food here is delicious! Some of the best Pho you'll find in San Diego. The service is always so good and the workers are all so friendly. It's my go to restaurant when I'm craving Pho and it never disappoints. The ambiance is nice and laid back, feels like your eating at home, doesn't get better than that. I would have given a five star to this great restaurant, but for the fact that their seats are so very uncomfortable, because pillows or cushions are definitely required. Only a long legged person would be able to sit in the booth type seats. The height of the seat is perfect for me, because I am short but if I try the chairs, it's a little too high and I don't want my feet dangling. I told the weight staff that I pointed out this discrepancy with comfortable seating two times previously and if I go to eat there again, and there are no seat cushions, I will probably throw some in my car to use at this restaurant only and then it will be my last time. The weight staff couldn't be friendlier, more attentive, professional! I absolutely love the food. So, if you don't mind sitting in a regular chair, you will have a great experience. read more

I'm so happy there is finally a Pho place in Ramona. And it's GOOD. Always went to Poway when I had a craving before. But was happily surprised coming here. Service was so amazing! I believe her name was jasmine and my mom and I just loved her. Pho was delicious, larger than I expected to get, and the broth was flavorful.
