Always good!!! We eat here about once a month or so, service is great and food is always very good.

Absolutely awful service. This waitress here needs a serious lesson in customer service, basic manners, and humility. From the second I walked in, she was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and behaved as though serving me was somehow beneath her. She took forever to come over, acted like acknowledging me was a personal burden, and carried herself with an attitude that was completely out of place for someone whose job is literally serving in a mom and pop joint in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, she had no problem hovering around and repeatedly checking on other tables. That kind of selective attention does not go unnoticed. If you work in a small local restaurant, treating customers with contempt is not confidence. It is simply bad service and terrible business sense. Get an education. Maybe take a class or two in customer service and business ethics before bringing a sorry attitude to the very customers who keep the doors of your business open in this economy. And here is a lesson worth remembering: never underestimate a customer. The person ordering a $20 lunch could very well be the person who leaves a $200 tip when treated exceptionally well. You have no idea who is sitting in front of you or how many other customers they may send your way. A customer should never have to compete for basic courtesy. Lose the arrogance. Learn some manners. Learn what hospitality actually means. Treat people poorly and they will simply take their money elsewhere. That is exactly what I did, and I would not return. read more

Ramona eateries (good ones) are rare gems, and Pinto Thai is one of them. Honestly, they have no competition was it comes to Thai food, or Asian Cuisine, in Ramona. Rather extensive menu and the food is very good. I have had a couple of their curries, their pad thai and egg rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was not a fan of their crispy shrimp, it was too oily and had no flavor. However their Pork Egg Roll is FANTASTIC, I wish they had it on the permanent menu. Their service is always friendly. Food takes a moment, but then again, I am happy it does, this means everything is made to order with the freshest ingredients. read more

Wonderful ambiance, service and food. Portion sizes were very large, I got two more servings from my leftovers. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I had the Pad Se We with Beef and my friend had the Yellow Curry. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. They have these awesome single serve ice creams that were so good. I had the Mango Sticky Rice flavor (which was so spot on) and my friend had a Lavender flavor. Definitely try one when you go! I have been enjoying the food as well as the very friendly staff for many years. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I work in Poway, and when I'm feeling like some great Thai food, I call them on the way home and put my order in for take out. They have so many great dishes. I recommend their Pad Woonsen which are thin clear glass noodles, with some vegetables, and you can pick your protein. I also like all of the curries they have. So I went to Ramona for this fantastic Thai food experience. Seriously, said no one ever but true. Met up with one of my pilot friends who lives up yonder. We were there for lunch. Cool place with about ten tables and legit smell of curry when you pass through the door. I went for the garlic lunch special medium spicy with tofu. Perfect portion size and it was yummy, albeit a bit salty. My friend went for the curry with chicken. She's not a heat warrior but I don't make fun of her for that. Ramona is a town where you don't typically find a good Thai restaurant, but surprisingly I did find one here. The food was delicious, and it was surprisingly better than the Thai food you find in the city. The pork larb I got was at a level 5 spice, which happens to be the spiciest level offered, and it ain't good if it ain't spicy either! It was the perfect spice for me, and the larb was dressed with a flavorful tang and toasted rice powder. If you like satay, it's bomb here. Thai tea was super freshhhh! There were some remnants of the tea leaves in the drink and I could tell they brewed it fresh. If I'm ever in town, I'd probably stroll by again. The food here tastes like home to me and the staff were super sweet and accommodating when I brought my dogs to dine in at their patio. read more

They are comparably priced to other Thai restaurants around the city but from my experience, Pinto Thai serves larger portion size than most Thai restaurants. Which I appreciate. I can only review food because we had a pick up order and I did not go inside. We ordered a bit of everything and all was pretty good, the fresh shrimp spring rolls were the best. We went in early December of 2025. So I don't remember every dish we had, I do remember that we ordered a few dishes too spicy for us and we could not enjoy it as much as we would like to, but that is our fault as I love spicy food but new heart burn wouldn't let me eat like I used to. The food was yummy and the different drinks were tasty and so was their ice creams. This cute restaurant is located in a corner strip mall on the main drag in Ramona. It's on the small side, but also offers outdoor dining. The decor is what I'd call 'Eclectic Thai'. The service was friendly and quick. The food was fresh, colorful, amply portioned and delicious. If I was to knock off a star, it would be because I thought it was a tad expensive. There's free parking and a 'one-person' restroom. I would visit again. read more

They steal your money!! Extremely deceitful behavior by the restaurant and wait staff. Got up to pay the bill, she had already added a 15% tip to the receipt, without me seeing. Furthermore, she did not provide an itemized receipt, I had to ask for it. So when I paid, I paid a double tip because they had already added it to the receipt without me knowing.
