I am so in love with this place. I gave up on my pho place in Poway and I found this place. It's…read morenext to the Ramona Noodle place. So, I called on a Saturday - about 5, to place an order. My order was done so quickly! I think this place is just a big secret because it wasn't too crowded. I ordered grilled tofu in the vegetarian spring rolls. Two orders, one for today I'm getting so hungry talking about them! 2 rice paper rolls stuffed with grilled tofu, lettuce, fresh mint bean sprouts & vermicelli noodles. This photo does not do it justice! Served with peanut sauce. So good - everything is so absolutely fresh - crispy vegetables. And the Stir fried egg noodle dish -crispy - OMG! I wasn't prepared for the "bird nest" noodles but was so wonderfully surprised (they need to put bird's nest noodles and more people would buy it - came with a bright tasting brown vegetarian sauce and amazing with the -vegetables and grilled tofu - (I ordered it that way). I did not touch the color on the photo. This was such a luxurious meal. So, they have a Buddha and what most people know who know Buddhists and their restaurants --Buddhist who own restaurants know how to cook fresh and keep everything clean - and they will not cheat you. It becomes giving you an amazing experience because it's really to honor Buddha - to make you happy. I mean, I wish all restaurants were owned by Buddhists. So don't be all weird when you see the Buddha out front. Seriously. Having spent a lot of time in fantastic Asia and India - the restaurants - this is very comparable. With everything going on right now in the fields and vegetable rotting in the dirt because of ICE raids, they have sourced their venders with care and can offer amazingly FRESH vegetables. Usually when I comment about vegetables in my reviews, it's to only describe them as, Meh. Not this place!!! Looks like a great date location. It's only 20 minutes from Poway. And a world away from Pho Ca Dao in Poway that NEVER gets my order right, not only not-right, you pick it up and you're paying for something more expensive - that you don't want That place is so wrong. This place is a keeper! Finding this place was like that moment when you hear angels singing aaaaaahhhhhhh I ordered take-out, but this will be one of mine and my husband's weekend places now. The interior is lovely and immaculately clean. Looks comfy - and the place is huge. Has outdoor seating.

They obviously don't care about there customers in addition the bathrooms did were very dirty and dated and also had no hand washing soap. Save your time and money and just go down the hill Mira mesa has some of the best pho restaurants.

The spice level was just right, and the sauce was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed a small salad and a couple of spring rolls, both served with a tasty vinaigrette in a charming ramekin. The iced tea I ordered came in a large cold glass mug enough to make it through the whole meal without even needing a refill. The serene and delightful music added to the overall experience. The manager's attentive service was exceptional, as they checked in to ensure my complete satisfaction, reminiscent of a top-notch car dealership experience. This level of engagement from the management is commendable, and I look forward to returning soon. The place has an intimate feel but I am told that there are expansive rooms that are available for parties or meetings.

I order fried rice dishes at many Thai establishments and usually leave underwhelmed. This one however was a standout. Boldly colored and richly flavored with noticeable wok hei. Important observation: If you happen to order Pinot Grigio when you go, make sure you're getting real wine. I ordered a glass ($12) and noticed it tasted quite off putting. Unusually sweet for a Pinot Grigio and lacking body. I mentioned this and they brought out the bottle to show me. I had to point out the label which was emblazoned with the phrase "Alcohol Removed"! I wound up switching it out for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc which was excellent. Service here is always friendly, genuine and welcoming. Probably one of the most beautiful restaurants in Ramona (inside). Highly recommended.

Absolutely awful service…read more This waitress here needs a serious lesson in customer service, basic manners, and humility. From the second I walked in, she was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and behaved as though serving me was somehow beneath her. She took forever to come over, acted like acknowledging me was a personal burden, and carried herself with an attitude that was completely out of place for someone whose job is literally serving in a mom and pop joint in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, she had no problem hovering around and repeatedly checking on other tables. That kind of selective attention does not go unnoticed. If you work in a small local restaurant, treating customers with contempt is not confidence. It is simply bad service and terrible business sense. Get an education. Maybe take a class or two in customer service and business ethics before bringing a sorry attitude to the very customers who keep the doors of your business open in this economy. And here is a lesson worth remembering: never underestimate a customer. The person ordering a $20 lunch could very well be the person who leaves a $200 tip when treated exceptionally well. You have no idea who is sitting in front of you or how many other customers they may send your way. A customer should never have to compete for basic courtesy. Lose the arrogance. Learn some manners. Learn what hospitality actually means. Treat people poorly and they will simply take their money elsewhere. That is exactly what I did, and I would not return.

A friend asked if I wanted to have breakfast when I was in town and at first I refused to go there but he assured me it wasn't the same kountry kitchen as before. The fruit was fresh and there were lots of berries at the bottom of the cup. We also went back a couple of days and had the steak and eggs, the steak was cooked perfect and the country potato's were cooked in beef talo and were perfect. You have to try the fresh squeezed orange juice they squeeze it with a machine right in front of you. Can't wait to go back.

[TL;DR: Served inedible food I did not eat, charged in full, zero attempt to make it right.]…read more I very rarely leave negative reviews and don't nitpick or blast places over small issues - and you can check my other reviews to verify that. I had heard great things about this place, which makes it even more disappointing. The only positive was the quaint country ambiance, including a nice old mural on the wall. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Sunday morning, so that's understandable and not part of my rating. The food, however, was inedible. I should note here that I came in quite hungry and with a specific hankering for a greasy chicken fried steak and eggs, so I was in a very easy to please state. I ordered the eggs "over medium," and the eggs came out with raw, runny whites and were also cold. The toast didn't arrive until 5-10 minutes later, so everything just sat there getting colder. The "steak" was mostly fat and gristle. The first couple of bites I ate were gristly but doable with help from the gravy - but the third bite was a giant glob of gristly fat that I couldn't even chew - i spit it out and that's all I ate. The hash browns tasted like frozen unseasoned potatoes with only a patch of sear on the outside while the bulk of it was mushy and pasty and gross. Of the whole meal I basically only ate my toast plus a bite or two of each thing on my plate. I left feeling sick to my stomach. After dropping off the food (and later the delayed toast), our server never checked back. No refills, no follow-up. When she finally returned, she asked to clear my very full, barely touched plate without any acknowledgment. I had to volunteer that the food was inedible. The response was dismissive and rushed, with no effort to understand the issue or make it right. An offhand "sorry about that" was offered while walking away, followed shortly by the $60 bill. The complete lack of accountability and concern was frankly abhorrent. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be back. I would have left hungry except that I was queasy from the gristle and paste.

Now that we live in Ramona, we have been venturing out and trying the different eating establishments. This place is like Cheers, where everyone knows your name. It has a great vibe and decent prices. The plates are HUGE and definitely shareable. I have been here a few times now, and I always really like what I order, with one exception: I am not a fan of their biscuits. I have tried on a few occasions and they do not do it for me. Today's was really not palatable. You can tell it was overworked and not cooked properly. You could still taste raw flour. It stuck to the plate it was on; that's how poorly cooked it was. On the happy side, we had great breakfasts. I ordered something different today, their Au Gratin omelette. It tasted great, but did not taste anything like Au Gratin potatoes. I would order it again. We also had chicken-fried steak with gravy and a chorizo scramble. Both were tasty and super filling. I understand their cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Since I rarely eat sweet things, I have yet to take a bite. Hoping next time I go out with friends, someone orders one. There is outdoor seating, and the establishment is dog-friendly. So bring Fido along and enjoy a meal. *Please excuse the photo. I forgot to take one before I started eating my omelette. You can see how dry the biscuit was in the next photo.
