Came here for my mom and dad 62 wedding Anniversary. It is in Ramona California. My dad and mom got pad see ew with beff chicken and pork. Got to try some it was very delicious and yummy. They enjoyed it. My dad had a ice tea. I got the pad woonsen witj beef chicken and pork. They tried it. It was very good . Highly recommend it had rice noodles. And I had a Dr pepper. Its a costly little Restaurant. The staff was professional and polite they even made sure for my parents Anniversary they had vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Thank you to the staff at La Basil Thai Cuisine. Highly recommend them and I will be back thank you

I just started working in Ramona and decided to come to La Basil Thai Cuisine for lunch. I was blown away! The food was absolutely delicious; I can't recommend the Pad Thai and the mango sticky rice enough. The prices are extremely affordable and the service is amazing. Thank you to my server, Dang, who was so kind and took great care of me. When I come back to Ramona, this spot will definitely be my new go-to.

I ordered the Thai Chicken with brown rice. It was delicious. The chicken was tender and moist. The rice was not lumpy at all. I didn't wait very long and the service was very good. It was my first time here and I highly recommend this place. The price was average and the serving size was just enough for me.

This place has great Thai food. Fresh vegetables. Friendly servers. Efficient service. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. I get take out about twice a month here and it's always good. A great addition to Ramona

Absolutely Horrible food, taste was off and not to mention the portion was one like for a child One small scoop of cold rice, a 1 inch deep regular plate barely filled up, this place is absolutely ripping off us locals, I finished the dish in under 5 mins and left hungry $18 plus $4 for a soft drink Absolute waste of money, just go to pinto Thai

Amazing delicious food! Best in all of San Diego, not just Ramona. The ambience is perfect and authentic. Everyone is welcoming and so friendly. The service is also wonderful. Great experience every time for the whole family!

HOLY BASIL, That's good! Authentic Thai Food that speaks for itself. The ambience is relaxed, the staff is friendly and attentive with warm smiles. As a Farang that's been lucky to visit Thailand, I would put LA Basil Food up there with best Thai restaurants. A hidden gem in Ramona that we'd be wise to keep. Dining in was great and the Singha Beer cold, but I was equally as impressed with how easy and fast takeout through the web worked out. Try them, you won't be disappointed. If you are, it's probably just you...

Tried the Kua Kling rice bowl with ground pork. It was delicious and had a nice spice level. Perfect amount for lunch. Really enjoyed it

Visited 6/6/2025 I had high hopes for this place and waited to see what others thought before I visited. Not many were giving any yelp reviews so I walked in cold for information from locals. I decided to try just appetizers for my first visit and they had a nice selection on the menus. First they have fixed the inside up nice although I could do without the boring music that after awhile gets on your nerves. The single staff member I met was nice and pleasant and willing to help with whatever we needed. First, I ordered The Appetizer Sampler. $18.00 It says Spring Rolls but we're Chicken Fried Egg Rolls. They were not bad but could have used more filling inside. Good Taste. Also Chicken Satay On a Stick. Flavored nicely but a bit overcooked and dry. Next Cream Cheese Won Ton's. Nice and crispy with a nice flavor. Lastly The Pot Stickers. Best item on the sampler plate. The Three Dipping Sauces were great for Dipping. We also got an order of The Tempura Shrimp $14.00 the shrimp were ok but not amazing. Crispy outside and not overcooked on the inside. And An order of The Crispy Calamari. $14.00 My review is strictly for the things we got to sample and maybe the regular dishes they serve deserves more stars. Nothing stood out as special. For me it was disappointing and I'm not sure I'll be back. Food was subpar and overpriced for what was served. There is better Thai Food in Ramona to be enjoyed. Still I wish them the best.

    It's so cute inside!

This is our second visit to La Basil and it was just as good as the first! Excellent service, and the interior is a clean cozy vibe. The food tastes fresh and is delivered hot and delicious. The chicken wings were so crispy, not breaded, just the skin and it was crunchy good. The potstickers were also perfectly cooked. You must try this place you'll love it!!

    Empty sauce

The place is very relaxing. There is soft music and good lighting. The hot ginger tea was great. I ordered a chicken pad thai. The portion was good. There was a decent amount of chicken and it was hot. I asked for some spice since I didn't ask for any. The spice dish brought to me was empty of chili sauce unfortunately. The pad thai itself was somewhat bland. There was an underlying boxed taste to it I couldn't figure out. Like either the sauce or noodles had absorbed a cardboard taste from packaging? Not the best thai in Ramona but not terrible either.

Food was very good and they have all the Thai restaurant staples. Spice level is 1 - 3. Intimate ambiance. Soft background piano music and good decor. Service was great. Very nice and professional servers and attentive checking if we needed anything. Kitchen staff offered to stay late when we came in soon before closing (they used to be closed Sundays but we saw the open sign and came in to check - they've been doing 3-8pm on Sundays the past couple weeks).

La Basil Thai Cuisine is the best Thai food in Ramona. First, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is always spot on. Second, the food is fantastic. My family and I have been to the restaurant several times and the food is always amazing. Third, the price is just right. My favorite plate so far is the Krapao Chicken Bowl. It's stir fried ground chicken with garlic, chili, and basil leaves and a fried egg. The plate is a little spicy, but it's so worth the burn. The spicy noodles, pad thai and garlic pepper chicken are all fantastic too. My wife also loved the thai chicken, which had a great flavor to it. The restaurant is right off of the 67 in Ramona, on 11th Street. There's always plenty of parking and the service is very fast. We're always eating within 15-20 minutes after being seated. The restaurant itself is very neat and feels intimate. Overall, I can't recommend La Basil enough. Please give them a try. You won't regret it...

Absolutely awful service…read more This waitress here needs a serious lesson in customer service, basic manners, and humility. From the second I walked in, she was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and behaved as though serving me was somehow beneath her. She took forever to come over, acted like acknowledging me was a personal burden, and carried herself with an attitude that was completely out of place for someone whose job is literally serving in a mom and pop joint in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, she had no problem hovering around and repeatedly checking on other tables. That kind of selective attention does not go unnoticed. If you work in a small local restaurant, treating customers with contempt is not confidence. It is simply bad service and terrible business sense. Get an education. Maybe take a class or two in customer service and business ethics before bringing a sorry attitude to the very customers who keep the doors of your business open in this economy. And here is a lesson worth remembering: never underestimate a customer. The person ordering a $20 lunch could very well be the person who leaves a $200 tip when treated exceptionally well. You have no idea who is sitting in front of you or how many other customers they may send your way. A customer should never have to compete for basic courtesy. Lose the arrogance. Learn some manners. Learn what hospitality actually means. Treat people poorly and they will simply take their money elsewhere. That is exactly what I did, and I would not return.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice with chicken at spicy level 2. It was definitely spicy, but so delicious! The flavor was on point, and I kept wanting more. For an appetizer, I ordered the Dinner Appetizer Sampler, which came with crispy veggie rolls, cheesy wontons, potstickers, and tamarind chicken. My favorite was definitely the tamarind chicken. It was super crispy on the outside while still being juicy and tender inside. The potstickers were my second favorite. The sauce complemented them really well and paired nicely with the sweet-and-sour sauce. I also tried the Yellow Curry with chicken. The curry itself had great flavor and paired really well with the Thai Basil Fried Rice. My only personal preference would be for the vegetables to be cooked a little more. They were pretty chunky and took a little longer to chew, but the curry definitely had the flavor! Overall, I had a great experience and left feeling completely satisfied. The food was flavorful, the portions were fulfilling, and the service was great. I'm already looking forward to trying more dishes. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. It would also be a great spot for a casual date!

Pailin Thai is in a shopping center that absolutely gets bonkers during busy hours, mostly because of the obnoxiously skinny parking spaces and the incredibly large cars trying to cram their way into them. We ordered our lunchtime meal online, taking advantage of their lunch combo specials. I got the See-Eyew Noodles with chicken ($13.95) and my husband got the Spicy Noodles with pork ($13.95). Because these were the lunch combos, each meal also came with a small serving of the soup of the day, a small salad, an egg roll and a fried wonton. The menu said you're also supposed to get steamed rice, but we did not. I'd rank the items in my lunch combo this way: the soup (not sure what kind it was, but it was coconutty and citrusy and there wasn't enough of it, in my opinion); the fried wonton; the salad; the noodles; the egg roll. Not that I didn't enjoy the noodles, they were just not the best I've had (and those who know me know that Pad See Ew noodles are my go-to Thai entree.) These noodles were lighter - in color and flavor - than I prefer, and too sticky to easily shove in my face with a plastic fork. The flavor was okay, if a little lacking. My husband's meal was supposed to be spicy noodles, but the container was labeled "Drunken Noodles", which I'm pretty sure is a different dish. But, he ate it all up and said he enjoyed everything about it. Though he did say the serving size was smaller than expected (I reminded him it was a lunch combo, not a full entree, and for what we paid, it was a good deal. I think he agreed haha.) I'd be willing to give them another try, because I love Thai meals and we seem to be lacking in good Thai restaurants anymore.

Thai Ladle in Poway is tucked into a strip mall that's currently under some parking lot construction, which makes finding a spot a bit tricky. With all the nearby kid activities( like dance studios, kiddie gyms, and such) parking probably depends a lot on the time of day. Inside, the restaurant is small and appears clean, and the atmosphere is pleasant enough. The biggest disappointment is that they don't have a liquor license. No beer, wine, or sake, which would have totally turned me away if I figured it out a little faster. What can I say, a girl needs a Chardonnay sometimes. The food itself was good & reasonably priced ,, but not especially memorable. Basically, solid Thai food, but nothing that stands out. Service was friendly, but very slow. Like, very, very slow.
