The only thing that initially made me hesitate was that it was a home-based business. I decided to keep looking around and even visited another highly rated repair shop in the area. Before I could even ask if they could repair my controller, they immediately recommended QCQ Repair. That told me everything I needed to know. From the moment I spoke with Jose, I could tell he genuinely knew what he was doing. With over 10 years of experience, his knowledge and professionalism stood out immediately. He took the time to listen to my concerns about my controller, understood how much sentimental value it had to me, and even understood how excited I was to play the upcoming Halo Remastered. What impressed me the most was his honesty. From the very beginning, he told me there was a possibility the controller couldn't be repaired because of how Microsoft designed the Elite Series 2. He didn't make promises he couldn't keep or give me false hope. Instead, he was upfront and transparent, and I respected that more than anything. I dropped my controller off on July 3rd, right before the holiday weekend, and he was still willing to take it in. A few days later, he contacted me with great news--he had successfully repaired it. Not only does my controller work perfectly again, but he also replaced the joystick with an upgraded component to help prevent the issue from happening again. The price was more than fair considering the complexity of the repair and the cost of replacing one of these controllers. What really sets QCQ Repair apart is that Jose genuinely cares about the quality of his work and his customers. His business isn't about getting people in and out as quickly as possible--it's about doing the job right. It's been actively in use for about 5-6+ years now working flawlessly, except for one day a few weeks back. I mistakenly took it to a computer repair in the mall which was horrendous, they had it for a week and a half and couldn't give me a proper diagnosis besides "it's the motherboard." I contacted Daniel and within a day he had my rig working, as it was a power switch problem and not a motherboard. However, the PSU's fan was bad, Daniel quoted me an extremely reasonable price and was able to fix it in another day. Two days with Daniel completely fixed my rig at a reasonable price, he was extremely helpful and friendly. I just can't believe it took him two days what the other shop couldn't and misdiagnosed in a week and a half. On top of that, Daniel was nice enough to fix the wiring and ensure all the components were properly in place, again, another issue that the other shop messed up on my rig. The guy knows his stuff! The part came in and the Owner damaged the part installing it back into my laptop. Owner said he would pay for the new part to replace the part he damaged. I tried to find out if the part came in by calling him on the phone. Neither of the phone numbers on the pick up ticket works, they are both disconnected numbers. Since I could not reach him via phone I had to visit his store many times. Twice he told me part has not arrived yet. Then, he said he would reimburse me for the price I paid for the original repair. I went to visit him there 5 times and each time he said "the money has not arrived yet." Finally, he said he would pay me with paypal. Still after 8 days no payment.
