Ramo's Food truck is located along Industrial Road, near the 24 Hour Fitness and Devil's Canyon Brewing Company. I pass this truck multiple times a week in the evenings, and on days the truck is there, there never is a long line. There is a table set up under a tent, and seats at the truck's bar available for dining at. We went to order takeout on a Friday evening, and the food was freshly cooked for us. Food ordered: 1. Chicken Super Burrito: 5/5 The chicken was very tender and flavorful (not salty), and was probably one of the best chicken I've had in a burrito/taco. The description said there would be guacamole but it was sliced avocado - honestly I think that tasted better. Everything else in the burrito was spectacular and perfect together and the tortilla itself was grilled and crisp and tearable. This came with a small side of chips and salsa. 2. Chicken Super Tacos: 5/5 Super tacos are indeed super tacos, so your usual tacos with rice and beans. Be very careful with the pickled veggies that come with this - I don't know if it was the batch we got, but we both like spicy but the sliced carrots were pretty extreme spice. 3. Bean Papusas: 5/5 This plate comes with an order of 2 papusas. The papusas were grilled nicely, had a delicious outer corn layer, a good amount of bean and cheese filling, and it didn't feel greasy afterwards. Also probably some of the best papusas I've personally had. It came with a side of slaw which was fine (spicy carrots made a come back here) but we honestly forgot to top the papusas with it and were full by the time we realized the whole bag was still untouched. Overall, food was delicious and I would order from here again. They had a large menu and the food was tasted fresh and not overly salty and greasy which I enjoyed. Unfortunately, what I didn't love is that the pricing is not marked on the truck, so it's sort of awkward. The prices end up similar to other food trucks which isn't cheap, so you can expect that general estimate, but the price transparency would've made the experience even better. read more

It's a random local food truck in San Carlos, like randomly in the middle of an industrial road, with a bunch of nearby workers chilling for lunch. At the time, they didn't have prices listed which I find to be a dishonest practice. My order of 3 tacos and 2 quesabirria was about $21. I tried asking if they had any other recommendations but there was a language barrier. - Tacos My pastor, asada, and lengua tacos were solid, but not amongst the best. The pastor tasted more like regular grilled pork instead of a typical marinaded pastor. The asada was standard, and the lengua was tender. Some parts of the meat had crunchy bits. It's just good if you're local. I appreciated how they toasted the tortillas. I wish they used more fresh cilantro. - Quesabirria We've had quesabirria from a few places in the bay already, and this one was just okay. The tortilla is toasted to be crunchy, and it's quite meaty with some onions and tomatillo, and it oddly comes with some mash of sour cream, orange sauce, and lettuce and pico... almost like it needs that extra flavor. The consomme was more oil than any flavor, so I would not get quesabirria from here again unless you have a very strong craving. They also serve pupusas, so I wonder if they're Salvadorean. It's not worth the drive here, especially since there's already pretty good trucks and taquerias around the neighboring cities where they have transparent pricing. read more

Tried this when they were at Blue Oak Brewing. I like how they have a variety of options. I got their cheese pupusas. My husband got their California burrito. He did ask for it spicy. FYI, their spicy sauce is spicy. He enjoyed it but did regret saying he wanted it spicy hahaha. I mixed their red hot sauce with the tomato sauce that came with the pupusas and really liked it. I enjoyed the pupusas overall. This was a good food truck to go with blue oaks drinks. Hoping they are there again when we go back. read more

Tried this food truck at a brewery today. Staff were nice! We got the steak fries and it was about $28 after tip. The prices for the menu were not filled in on the truck, so we didn't know prior to ordered. It's very expensive, but paired well with the beers. I did wish the fries were more crispy and jalapeño were sliced. read more

We grabbed lunch at Ramo's Food while visiting Blue Oak Brewing Company. I ordered two Super Tacos - one with Pollo and one with Carne Asada. Service was friendly and the wait wasn't bad at all - maybe 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, I might've ordered wrong. I didn't realize the Super Tacos came with rice and beans INSIDE the taco and wasn't really a fan of that. There also wasn't nearly enough cheese for me. However, my friend's street tacos looked a lot better. Would return to try something different! read more

Came here twice since it's really close to my gym (I know, I know..) Tried their quesabirria, pupusas, churros, and burrito. So far, everything tasted pretty good but my absolute favorite is churros. They're amazingly crispy yet soft, sweet but not overwhelming, and the cream filling just beats them all.. it was heaven! I will get a dozen churros next time, lol. Their pupusas are okay. I never had that many pupusas to be able to tell.. their birria are good too, I don't particularly like the spicy birria. The mild ones are better. read more

A very good and consistent food truck. I love their pollo Fritos plate and fish burrito. I don't usually get fish burritos but theirs is gooood. Must try! Two tacos. Lengua. Carnitas. Both were excellent but my personal preference was the carnitas. Super flavorful and served HOT (Temperature is important to me; personal preference). Highly recommended. Was recycling ink cartridges at Office Depot and saw this truck at 11 am, but no customers. Then I yelped it and saw the 5 star reviews. They are not kidding! I had a quesabirria taco and a queso pupusa. Only $9. But they came with flavorful consommé and curtido with just the right amount of sour, crunch, and heat. Plus a salad with spicy thousand island dressing and a lime wedge that finished the taco perfectly. A bargain feast! I will definitely come back. They also serve breakfast burritos with chorizo, I will have to test that against my gold standard at ElFaro in South SF. So glad I tried this place. read more
