Visiting Key West this past May, we patronized the restaurant in the evening. There was acoustic music on the patio where were seating. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for! We had fun ordering menu items and taking turns sampling. Our favorite was the stuff avocados!! The dish itself was brilliant and I have to tell you that I have re-created this dish several times since I have been back home in Pittsburgh!!! Nachos were overflowing and so good. We ventured down to Key West today from our vacation villa at Hawks Cay. I have favorites places where I eat while in Key West, but took a chance on this one as they get good reviews and actually have designated parking which is rare in Key West. We were seated in the inside dining room as it was rainy outside so that was nice. We were the only table in the room as most people opt for the outside area and bar. It's definitely more lively out there. But we were very happy being inside. Our server came over quickly enough and started with drink orders. The table had a multitude of drinks. They are photographed here. All good! For entrees, we had several cheeseburgers, several fish and chips, crab cakes, blackened Mahi sandwich and crabby tots. All were really good! The service was also really good. Great spot with designated parking, fresh seafood, lots of choices for all, great outdoor bar area if the weather permits. We would definitely go back! read more

Went because of the Bloody Mary bar and it was fun and fab! Bartender does a generous vodka pour then you go to the fixings bar and have a blast; bacon, excellent mixer, a zillion hot sauce choices (but no Frank's!!!), jalapeños, horseradish, olives, ; franky they had me at bacon. First visit to this restaurant which is in a great location. They have a terrific open air patio with bars and live music. I had their pressed Cuban. It was good but not great yet it filled a void that I had from my Duval Street wanderings. The potato salad was excellent! our waters came and one had a long hair in it then our hot tea and coffee came and there was white particles floating on the top of them and I had stuff in my mug. our food vane and mine had a hair in the strawberries with my pancakes. the service was good. but overall a dirty place and the breakfast wasn't that good. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, my experience had a rough start. I ordered chicken tacos, but what arrived at my table were fish tacos. Thankfully, I'm not allergic to fish--otherwise, this could have been a serious issue. To their credit, they did apologize and offer me a complimentary dessert for the mix-up, which was a nice gesture. 2 of us decided to try Rams Head for breakfast as all the other good breakfast restaurants had a 45+ minute wait. We should have waited. I'll start with what was GOOD, and the reason this is not a one star: SERVICE: We sat at the bar and our servers were both very attentive and apologetic over the blah breakfast we had. They had lots of energy and were personable. ATMOSPHERE: We lucked out and Nick Norman arrived shortly after we did to play and sing. He is awesome. We saw him many years ago in Key West and loved him then. We still do. FOOD: Awful. It's pretty hard to not get breakfast right, but RH managed to do so. The eggs were cold, we sent the sausage back as it was so hard it tasted like it had been sitting under a warmer for hours. They quickly replaced them with 2 "new" links which were equally bad. The English muffins were not toasted, just slathered with butter. If it is a good breakfast you are after this is not the place to eat. BAR: I only had water but the bartenders were hustling. Looked like one shot went into a few of the bloody Mary's I saw them making, so not overly generous there. There are 2 entrances to get in - if you enter by the hostess station, they will take your temperature. However, on the other street this place sits on, which is the "bar" side, you can just walk right in. There isn't a wall or anything delineating the bar from the restaurant so odd practice here. Also, the hand sanitizer dispenser was empty. I let the hostess know, but she did not appear to be in a rush to refill it. read more

The food as good and and they were very accommodating to food allergies. Our weight staff was very kind and understanding again my food allergies. We come to Ramshead every time we are in town. Their breakfast and lunch and dinners are all excellent. We've had the pleasure of being served by Lexi almost every time. We started asking for her after our first visit. One dish is just better than the next, everything comes out hot, quick and delicious! Highly recommended!! We went in for a late lunch and ordered stuffed avocado, half pound of peel and eat shrimp, and crabby tots, plus a couple of alcoholic beverages. Best food we had the whole week we were in Key West! And it wasn't because of the beverages. The avocado had alfalfa sprouts, goat cheese, mango salsa, all drizzled with a balsamic glaze! Mmmmm good! We eat boiled shrimp for every lunch and dinner while in the Keys. These were spiced just right! The crabby tots were delicious. Imagine crispy tater tots surrounding crab dip made with cream cheese, and the whole thing topped with cheddar cheese fresh from the oven. It was epic! Date of visit: Sept 23, 2022 I initially stopped here because they have a setup outside the restaurant to buy some alcohol based and non alcohol based frozen drinks. The drinks are decent, but on the expensive side. It was $15. Our party stopped in after our tour around the area. I did not eat, but everyone else did. The wife said the seafood sandwich was delicious. Our other friends had a seafood eggs benedict. They really liked it as well. Wish we had the amazing experience everyone else did on Yelp. Maybe it was on off day? We had a reservation for breakfast and when we arrived, the host informed us that they no longer actually take reservations. We were so confused, but whatever, we only had to wait maybe 20min for a table. We got squeezed into a smaller table & when we saw a table that fit our group get cleaned, we requested to switch. Our waitress informed us that the table was being held for a reservation the size of our party (aka it was our reservation). After we told her, she helped us switch tables. Awesome. Idk if the host was confused or had some miscommunications, but they definitely still take reservations and the servers were aware of them. My friend and I ordered one of the specials - shrimp & grits. We knew not to expect New Orleans style with spice, but the grits were very loose, sitting in oil & unfortunately borderline cold. The boys ordered the tater tot scramble, which they said they would've liked if it had been hot when it came out, the breakfast sandwich (no complaints) & the breakfast tacos (no complaints). We were also charged for an extra side of bacon because the staff didn't tell us that the first plate of bacon was actually 2 sides of bacon. All of it together put a damper on our breakfast. Especially that most of our food wasn't warm when it got to the table. Hopefully it was just a bad day. They do have a fantastic outdoor set up though! Always our go to for breakfast! Parking - Park on the end of Petronia and quick walk down. historic sights and old homes makes for a nice walk and explore. Roosters - Yes! There's plenty and all over Key West. They were brought on land in the 1800's and never left. It's the cities mascot. So excuse them while they play around. We've been here few other times for breakfast and lunch. Both are good to check out. The conch fritters are yummy. Drinks are generous too! If you're a grits lover like me,they're are made perfect "gchee" style as they should! This time on our vacation the pancakes were cooked in oil or the batter was bad( not pictured) Giving off a weird taste. The waitress was training someone and apologized for the mishap. We told her that we had been there before and understood things happen. She was appreciative and remained giving us good service. I ordered rye toast with butter to use with my eggs which was good. Honestly if we were seated in a different section I would say 5 stars. We sat at the table directly behind the smoothie bar. There is an uncovered trash can behind the smoothie bar that's sits about 10 feet from our table that stunk like all hell. Stumbled across this bar and ended up having the best margaritas I have ever had. Bartender Michelle was incredible. Super quick and responsive. She made great recommendations on food, especially the crab dip. She hands down makes the best margaritas! We ended up coming back there with friends to enjoy it more of them, and found she also makes an incredible Bloody Mary. The whole bar area was packed but she managed it well. The ambiance of the outdoor area was exactly what we were looking for, with colorful signs, swings, and outdoor games! We will be back again next time we visit key west. read more

This place was rather busy because alot of places are closed today. We tried two other breakfast spots before finding this gem! Sweet cocktails, YES PLEASE! This is a rum bar.... I love rum drinks (even though I don't get them very often) so I was in heaven! I got a "pain killer" - I have had them at tiki bars and this tasted very similar- delicious! My husband got the Bloody Mary and he also said it was a good Bloody Mary I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich, comes with potato's and I got an extra side of fruit. THE FRUIT IS FRESH! The hotel we stayed at recommended this place for lunch and what a good call it was! The chicken tacos and fish n' chips were delicious! You could taste the freshness. Visiting in a hot summer day, I wished they had an area with A/C but the outdoor fans helped alot. Service was great. Let me just say WOW, this place is awesome! Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the pulled pork eggs Benedict and it was phenomenal. The same for the hollandaise sauce, so good! It came with a side of home fries which which was equally good. They also have a full bar with some awesome drinks. On top of that there was live reggae music which added to the ambiance.
