Poor service. I asked for a burger with no tomatoes and medium well and I got the exact opposite (well done and with tomatoes). I didn't even bother getting it redone because we were a big group and the food already took forever and by the time that happens, I'd be the only one eating. One other complaint is that I paid cash and didn't even have the common courtesy to give me back the change. He just said thank you to our group and left us. Since everyone's left, I didn't have time to hunt him back for my money. It was my 1st time coming back there after 5 years and it just reminded me why I shouldn't go there again. read more

I recently invited three friends, two from out of town, to join me at the Ram's Head for a late lunch. The food was average and the service was ok, however at the close of our meal we had a fifth diner join us at our table. If you guessed a roach just strolling along the top of our table you would be correct. Squished the roach, talked to the manager and was offered another table- no comp for the $90 meal. Maybe the roach was thrown in for free and I am just an ungrateful,and absolutely a non-returning customer. read more

Fun place with okay food. It's known more for it's live music. The service was mediocre. The home brewed beer sampler although was a lot of fun and tasty. All in all we would not recommend this place for dinner if you have a discriminating palate. read more

Ramshead is a personal favorite. I've been here many times, good draft beer selection and happy hour choices. I love their burgers too. Live music during the warmer months, great back patio, menu is great, and beer selection. A parking lot is located across the street or you can park on the street. Street parking is challenging on Fridays and the weekends but that's more related to being downtown. Good for groups. read more

Wow. Found this unassuming treasure by accident and I am stunned. Location, history, atmosphere...all are fantastic. The food is great, the bloody Mary's (courtesy of Yale the bartender) even better, and the prices are very fair (and frankly a steal for what you get). The food was okay (nothing amazing) but the service was horrible. We went during a game time when appetizers and burgers were supposed to be discounted. When we got the bill and everything was full price, we were told that only some appetizers and some burgers are discounted (even though the listing of specials did not mention that it didn't include all appetizers and burgers). The server said, "Yeah, a couple of us were talking at a meeting the other day about how we're basically lying to customers. It should say that only some appetizers and burgers are cheaper." Did she offer to make things right and give us the discount anyway? No. I will never go back here. I don't like to support dishonest businesses with poor customer service. read more

This place is nicer than some of the other bars in the area but the food was just ok. They have lots of selection and most of the food sounded good. I had the Hey Mac Burger (mac and cheese and cayenne candied bacon as toppings) and although the waitress asked how I wanted my burger cooked and I told her medium rare the burger came out quite well done with not even a hint of pink. I think if the burger had been cooked better it would have made it tastier. I also had a beer cocktail that sounded good (mojito topped with cider) but was not a good combination. I should add that others in my party had the fordham sampler (6 beer sampler) and loved most of the beers. read more

Service was poor. Initial server was terrific, but disappeared. Sat for over 30 mins waiting for someone to take our order. Someone finally came over with a tray full of stuff, that was falling off. I suggested he drop the tray and come back. He did, after stopping at two other tables. When I brought it to the attention of management they were very receptive. read more

Had a great lunch in the patio. Service was really good and attentive without being overwhelming. My wife and I split the carne queso appetizer, which was nicely thick, though the shredded cheese melted on top was a little to thick to get a chip through. I got the Reuben sandwich, which was really nicely made with delicious thick corned beef. Kate had the sciracha honey wrap, which was alright as well, though maybe could have used a little more sauce or a little less lettuce. If you are in the area looking for a decent brunch spot-this is the place! They have TONS of seating including some outdoors, and the prices are fair. I would say none of the menu items really wowed me. Their special Mimosa was good and if you are a Bloody Mary lover this is the place for you on Weekend Mornings as they have a BM Bar. I wouldn't go every weekend, but once in a while it's not a bad place. Went for the release of a beer. It was my first time at the pub and throughly enjoyed it. The food came quickly and was delicious. It does get crowded for happy hour, but not bad enough that you are on top of other people. Make sure to check out the haunted portion of the pub. read more

Worst service I have ever had. We only stayed here to eat because we were going to a show. We waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order and another 20 to get two beers. We were talking to people at tables around us and they all said they received the same level of service. The wings were decent and the cheese frites were delicious. We complained and received 10% off and an additional parking voucher that saved us another $4...enough to lessen the sting. Bottom line - good place for a show, but eat dinner somewhere else beforehand. read more

I've always liked this place but of late dining here isn't what it use to be. Service was friendly but slow. We had to ask several times about the specials. Two of our first four drinks were made incorrectly. A manager jumped in and made us new ones which were fine. She was very pleasant. I really wanted the crab cake thinking where better to have a crab dish than Annapolis, MD. Wrong! I was told that the crab meat was non-regional. Really? Imported crab meat served in Annapolis during July? The meals were pretty average so in the future we will probably dine at one of the many other options in the area. Went to rams head tavern with friends on a Friday. On the menu there is a happy hour special from 3-7 for half off apps so since we got there in that time frame we got only appetizers for dinner. When the check came none were half price and after asking the waiter he said his manager said they weren't doing the happy hour that day even though it was still in the menu and NOONE said anything before we ordered all the appetizers. We asked to see the manager and we had to wait 45 minutes for the manager to finally come to our table which is AFTER we asked our waiter twice and other workers multiple times. We even went and tracked down the manager TWICE asking him to come to our table. When he FINALLY got to our table he gave us a little discount(still not the total discount) and didn't even apologize. And then even after not signing for the first price still got charged that original price. WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE!!! MANAGEMENT WAS HORRIBLE read more

I ordered the Nova Scotia salad and it was delicious. Also, the patio is gorgeous! Awesome restaurant. HOWEVER, I am very huge on customer service and our waitress was absolutely horrible! She never once told us her name but from the receipt I believe it was Kyler. She obviously does not like her job. She was rude from rolling her eyes when I requested more salad dressing to slamming it on the table when she brought it. My coworkers and I were completely turned off by her attitude. But in all the food was awesome but if I return and get another waitress/waiter with such horrible service can you bet your bottom dollar I would not return. read more

I wish I could give it no stars. This is my first review. The lunch I had there was so bad I felt the need to spend time to create a yelp and review this terrible place. I will say that the happy hour is pretty legit. $3 bucks for their decent/good craft house beers. Plus there is free food which is ok. Back to why I'm giving it one star. I went for lunch with a friend at his suggestion. I was trying to get something remotely healthy but didn't want to get a salad. I went with the basic turkey burger. Can't be that hard to screw up right? WRONG. It was terrible it was so bad at first I asked the waitress if it was like the veggie patty by mistake. It was that bad. I ended up eating it anyway because I was starving and didn't have time to send it back and get something else or go somewhere else. Final word: Under no circumstances ever pay for this food. For happy hour I think its a decent deal for the beers and the free wings on Wednesday are edible. read more

I don't even want to give this any star. Went here for brunch with my boyfriend and we both agreed it was one of the most disgusting meals we've ever had. I had the chorizo and egg tacos and the chorizo looked like dog meat. It was served luke warm so clearly the sausage was prepared earlier and was sitting out all morning. The eggs had no flavor to them. They topped my meal with like 5 pounds of cheese clearly to mask the fact that the rest of it had no flavor. Our last meal, prior to one of their shows on December 9th, was a tale of two meals. My wife ordered the Fordham Brats and Mash and had a wonderful dinner. Very flavorful and very filling. I, unfortunately, had the Mac and Cheese Quattro with blackened chicken, which was not nearly as good. If it were not for the chicken, the dish would have had no flavor at all. The only positive was that the serving was very generous. We also had the onion rings as an appetizer, which were good. Last, the waiter wasn't bad, but was best described as indifferent. It was almost as if we were a bother for him to wait on us. Probably some of the worst service I've had at a restaurant. The bar was too crowded to get a seat at a table. I waited for 20 mins and a server never came by after the bartender said they would send someone over. Completely ignored by the bartender and servers... Went for lunch, quite a lunch crowd as the weather was ridiculous. Food took a little longer than I expected (the server Isabella was very kind and apologetic), and there was a slight issue with our food when it arrived. The manager Brent was extremely quick to rectify the issue and made us feel like he really cared about our business. The food was excellent and their beer is above average in a city with a pretty weak beer scene. I will definitely be back as they really care about their customers and strive for excellent food and service. read more

Save your money and your appetites for any of the other eateries Annapolis has to offer though because the menu, the plating, and the service is south of mediocre. Since I have lived in Annapolis all of my life and have gone to this restaurant since I was little this review may be biased. I LOVE it here! FOOD: Mostly everything here is fabulous. I haven't ordered everything from here but I know that the black bean soup is really good. It's spicy and thick. The crab soup is my favorite; lumps of crab meat and hearty veggies. Calamari is yummy, the nachos are good, the crab dip is to die for, the burgers are great, and even the brunch is amazing. I had gotten a veggie omelet once there and it was so good I pigged out on it. I have taken some friends there and though I love everything about it sometimes my friends thought Rams Head was only "pretty good." DRINKS: Beer beer beer....and MORE beer. They used to brew their own beer at this location before the Maryland law forced them to brew in a neighboring state (I forget which one). Their beer is still great though even though it's at a different location. I believe you can get a tour of the old brewery here too (I think), the large metal barrels are so interesting to look at when you eat here. As for the beer, if you like lighter beers try the Aviator. It's still heavier than you may like but the taste is pretty nice (I am no beer expert, and don't even like beer too much but I can appreciate the taste of a finely crafted beer). If you like a Guinness type beer any dark beer at Rams is good. As for mixed drinks they have a nice happy hour for rail drinks at great prices (like any other place in Annapolis). SPECIALS: Every first Thursday of every month Rams Head has a new brew of beer you can order and have the option of buying the special glass that it's in (with discounted refills, if not free). And also there is free food too. This special is only during happy hour, and it's also very polite to give a tip when you get the free food at a small buffet table. The free food that they have changes but it's alright (the one thing I'm not crazy about with this place) but if you're starving and are low on the dough then the free food is great. OUTSIDE: yes, there IS outdoor seating and it's in their backyard. Grape vines run above and cobblestone run below. Great site for a date or concert. The layout of the courtyard is clean, simple and rustic. Like other reviews here the decor and ambiance of this place is wonderful and very unique. It does get pretty tight on a busy night and the music is fantastic though loud. Overall it's a fun place to go on date night without breaking the bank. read more

Went for brunch waited twenty min to be served water another ten to place our order thirty min to get our food my friend had the ten ounce steak and eggs, the steak was smaller than a seven ounce filet, my other friend had French toast with bacon that was way under cooked and I had an omelet that was the worst one I had in many years. The food was warm not hot, the waitress was not attentive . After we finished our meal and asked for the check it took another twenty min plus asking another wait staff to get our waitress to bring our check. We will NEVER GO BACK!! Worst experience ever. My Grand daughter was served raw mini burgers. We sent them back and they came back on the same blood soaked buns that they were sent back on..Disgusting and unacceptable. Our server never put our appitizer order in, after waiting 45 minutes for them we finally asked another server to check on them for us and he said she never put the order in..including our dinner. we arrived at 3:30 pm and were not served our food until 5:20 pm. I spoke to the manager and his response was "I just got here so I don't know what is going on", when in fact he was there when we arrived. He never came to our table to check to see if our meal was ok after we finally received it. I have been a restaurant manager for 40 years and this was the worst dining experience, I regret choosing this establishment for us and our out of town guests to eat....Never again read more
