They also offer outdoor seating and a private event space downstairs. The cocktails were a bit on the pricey side, but the cozy atmosphere, great service, and local charm made it well worth the visit. Half the food on people's tables came out in cafeteria tins, the rest on plates. It was very OK food with poor service.

But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.

Outstanding Service & Food, But the Smoke Ruined It We had the pleasure of dining at Ramsey Kitchen in Danville, VA, and were beyond impressed with the experience--at least, most of it. First, the staff was exceptional. Every person we encountered was professional, attentive, and truly elevated the dining experience. We were particularly impressed by a young male manager on the floor, who was actively ensuring everything ran smoothly. His leadership and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The cleanliness of the restaurant was meticulous, which we deeply appreciated. It's clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining a top-tier environment. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Every bite was a testament to the high standards expected from a Gordon Ramsay establishment. For the price, we expected excellence, and in terms of service and cuisine, they delivered. Now for the heartbreaking downside. Despite the perfection inside the restaurant, there was one overwhelming, unavoidable issue: the relentless cigarette smoke. From the moment we arrived until the moment we escaped outside, the thick, choking smoke made it nearly impossible to enjoy our meal. As someone with severe asthma, I was struggling to breathe the entire time. Even two days later, my lungs are still suffering from the exposure. We understand that the restaurant is within a casino, but for such a high-end dining experience, there should be a serious effort to create a better barrier against the smoke. At the very least, guests should be warned about the conditions before making reservations. For the money we spent, the food and service were worth every penny--but we quite literally paid to harm my health. I had to shower and wash all our clothes immediately after leaving just to get rid of the lingering smell. If Ramsey Kitchen could somehow address the issue of smoke intrusion, this would be a 5-star experience all the way. Unfortunately, as it stands, we won't be returning--no matter how incredible the food is--unless changes are made. For anyone sensitive to smoke, consider this a serious warning before dining here. read more

Had the opportunity to take my 79 year old mother to Ramsay's Kitchen in October for her birthday. The service from beginning to end was fantastic. Our server SJ (Sarah) was personable, attentive and went over and beyond to meet our needs. I will request her on my next visit! Kudos to the kitchen staff that prepared our meals. The filet mignon was tender and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the fish and chips. The flaky crispy batter fried Haddock was the best I've had. Chef James stole my mother's heart. I love his high expectation of excellence and you can tell he passes that work ethic and character down to every member of his kitchen and wait staff. The customer service too is impeccable. The signature croissant French toast was good but the middle was not cooked. You could see the wet custard. I think the griddle was too hot. Outside was slightly charred, not too bad, but inside not done. Just need to make sure they are cooked. My mocha latte wasn't mocha. It was a good latte, but zero sweetness or chocolate flavor. I will say my mother thought the gravy on her pork chops was a little salty (but she not a gravy person). I thought the gravy was delicious. The only thing I was disappointed with was the macaroni and cheese. On my visit it was a little dry and flavorless. The restaurant is pretty large and you get your food cafeteria style. They have booths, tables, high tops and even a very small patio. They have a stage in the back of the restaurant. I heard them say live entertainment should be starting soon. All in all I would definitely come back if I was in the area. The baked spaghetti caught my eye.
