Loaded House Salad with blue cheese dressing
    MaryLinda W.

Running our monthly errands in Lexington on a Friday night before a forecasted winter storm, everywhere we went was crowded! We usually eat at a different Ramsey's location, but this was closer to where we were. The atmosphere, service, and food were just as good as the other locations we've visited so we were not disappointed! We had a short wait for a table when we arrived, and I saw a table of women enjoying the espresso martini that I ended up ordering and enjoying. After starting with the Loaded House Salad with blue cheese dressing, the chicken livers were calling my name, along with mashed potatoes & gravy, with green beans. Hubby also had the Loaded House Salad, but with ranch dressing, fried chicken breasts, macaroni & cheese, green beans, and a corn stick. They were out of the sugar free peach pie so we skipped dessert, but we both brought home leftovers to enjoy for lunch on Saturday. Ironically our server Hannah is usually at the location we visit most frequently, so we will look for her the next time we're in that neighborhood.

I have 44 check-ins as of today and I'm sure that I have eaten here over 75 times in my life and I have never tried the Hot Mari. I finally ordered it tonight and I have to say that it is my new favorite sandwich anywhere. I can't wait to get it again! I can't believe that I have never tried this and I didn't know what I was missing! The Hot Mari is the most delicious thinly sliced beef tenderloin that has been marinated in a salty and slightly sweet marinade. I highly recommend it!

Great location. Staff are friendly. Portions are plentiful and reasonably priced. It tends to be busy but there are many tables so it's usually a short wait. It was a little noisy with kids but it's a family friendly restaurant

Good diner food. Stopped on the way road tripping yo Tennessee. Fast service and friendly. Very casual place.

    Soup beans with cornbread

Ramsey's hit the spot! I had the soup beans with cornbread and a side salad. Everything was perfectly seasoned. My partner had a hot brown which was piled so high with meat! The mornay sauce was perfection and the broiled cheese on top was heavenly. It was so much food, she got three meals from it! My daughter ordered a kids "veggie plate" and the portions were huge - an excellent value for $5.25. She was eating leftovers for days too. My other daughter had a burger which she was very happy with. The server we had was very friendly, and since we were from out of state and looking for things to do, he was kind enough to get opinions from the other staff and give us a short list of awesome playgrounds. We enjoyed our visit and loved the funny kids menu and cute signage encouraging relaxation and conversations instead of WiFi. Will be back next time we are in the area.

This might as well be my kitchen, when we can't come up with anything to eat from home, we go here. The creamed corn is one of our favorites in veggie land. The mac 'n cheese is consistent and good! The soups make me happyl The chicken, both fried and grilled is tender, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service is always quick and friendly and I love all the hand painted chairs and random tables here. If you wand a good home cooked meal, jump off I 75 at the 108 and pop in here.

When in Rome... Kentucky Hot Brown!

My understanding is that this set of restaurants (I'm not going to call it a "chain" was founded in downtown Lexington and they expanded to other locations. This was just delicious food - on vacation and stopped in for lunch en route to Tennessee. Had the Hot Brown - man was this good! - and a really nice Lexington micro brew. Service was *extremely* friendly and welcoming, from the server to the manager. Really nice environment with a patio - highly recommend.

We were in the Lexington area and were looking for some local Southern cooking and this place came up. We noticed there were a lot of regulars when we arrived. We were seated very promptly and were brought out a dinner menu and a gluten free menu for my wife. I started with a Yuengling beer that I cannot get in Illinois. Their dinner menu starts after 5pm and they offer a few breakfast items, sandwiches,Meat & Three along with a few homemade favorites. I chose the open face Hot Brown which Kentucky is famous for...turkey and ham on top of a slice of bread with gravy covered with cheese and bacon. Very good..maybe a little too much cheese. My wife had the BBQ chicken breast with 2 sides. Again ,just like you would get at Grandma's house. The portions are huge otherwise I would have gotten a slice of Missy's Pie..they looked amazing. For a good ole home cooked tasting meal..this is the place!

Have to raise this review to 5 stars. My Ramsey's experience inspired me to make my own copycat pot roast and coleslaw versions since I live far from Lexington. Thank you for motivating me to add more delicious southern treats to my menu!

Except for one couple who were finishing their meal, we were the only ones there. Regardless we had fantastic service and tasty food with the gorgeous downtown views available from the huge windows. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was HUGE, juicy and crispy. The fries were delicious, a very generous portion and very well seasoned. Since we were celebrating we ordered 2 desserts: the olive oil cake and the 10th birthday celebration cake. The celebration cake was a bit dry, but the olive oil cake was fantastic with a lovely combo of strawberries and pistachio cream. A really amazing cake I wish I could have more. Bye Lockbox! The vibes and the ambiance is cool and modern, with art adorning the walls (it is inside the 21C art hotel after all). Tables are well spaced out and benches are comfortable. Open and full of light, this is a great space. Service was attentive and helpful. I started out with the sausage balls, made with creole hot honey mustard, dill, and chili. The texture was really hard and while the sauce was tasty, the sausage ball itself seemed to lack flavor. Next time I will probably try to pimento cheese, which the server said was supposed to be very good (he couldn't speak personally because he's not a pimento fan). For my entree I had the pork belly. And I think I am the problem here, not the dish. It's fatty and rich, as pork belly is supposed to be, but it felt so very greasy to me. I ate very little of this, and this is where my fifth star falls off. I should have gone with the burger or berry beef culotte. I also had a side of fries, which as others have noted, are crisp and well seasoned. They were delicious. They have a nice little cocktail list. I had the hattori hanzo, mad with haku vodka, smoked paprika, pineapple shrub, and pineapple juice. I love pineapple, so I loved this drink that was heavy on the fruity flavor. I also had the temper tantrum, made with gin, grapefruit, lime juice, and thyme. A little sweet, a little bitter, which was perfect for this gin lover. It might have been my favorite. And the Scarlet Manhattan, made with old forester rye, scarlet apertivo, angostura, and orange bitters, it was the perfect smoky end to the night. Looking forward to coming back and adding that fifth star.

Not fancy by any means, but perfectly fine for a neighborhood pub vibe. Business was pretty brisk for a weeknight and there was just one FoH employee who was taking orders (you order at the bar), bringing out plates and bussing tables. Kudos to him for doing a good job handling all that. The BoH kitchen staff did a good job, too, as it didn't take long for our food order to arrive. The menu here is eclectic, which was a big reason we chose this place for dinner. Unfortunately, one of the items we had hoped to try, the Swabian (German) spaetzle, was sold out by the time we got there for a fairly late dinner. We opted instead for the roesti potato. This is a strange dish that involves what is essentially a shredded hash brown-style fried potato topped with sauerkraut, pickled shallots, cheese and a decent-sized dollop of mustard caviar, all served on a bed of greens. It worked, for the most part. Strange taste combinations, but not bad. We also had the blackened tuna Waldorf salad. This was a little different than expected. The pan-seared ahi tuna was cooked nicely (leaving it a bit underdone inside). But it was chopped into small pieces that were fully mixed into a tartar sauce along with celery, shallots, green apples and red grapes. So it was basically a fancy tuna salad. Fortunately, it was a very tasty tuna salad. I wish all the tuna salads you get in restaurants was this good. It was served over mixed seasonal greens with asparagus tips. All of this went very well together and was a really excellent and innovative twist on a Waldorf salad. The menu of draft beers on tap was pretty varied and voluminous as they have their own brewery (Ethereal Brewing). This restaurant is their public house as they call it. I particularly liked their hefeweizen, but they had a porter that was also good. Overall, an interesting place with good food and beer at decent prices. Not a 5, but definitely a strong 4 at least.
