Visited in-laws & they touted the wings served by this place, so here we go... "Ramshackle" is a good description. Imagine a thrown-together shed with 'man cave-stuff' hanging all over it and you're there. The place is BUSY all the time, and the parking lot is small, so lots of patrons have to park elsewhere and make a short hike. The claim to fame here are the 'Junk Wings', which have ALL the toppings on them: too much for me, as I like them with just buffalo sauce and spicy. That said, the plain wings are "B-" for me. If you want casual and relaxed, it's not gonna happen here. The front of the restaurant is like 20 feet from US 441 at a major intersection, with the ever present rumble of big trucks. First time in Leesburg and Ramshackle is in front of the Best Western Hotel where I was staying. To start off, I walked in and waited for someone to seat me and eventually found out that it was seat yourself. I grabbed a table and had to wait over 5 mins for a server to come by. I ordered a steak fajita wrap and a draft beer. The fajita came with fries. The food didn't take long to come out. The fries were good but the fajita wrap was no big deal. I unfolded the wrap and it had big chunks of flavorless steak in it and a mess of onions and some other things. I shouldn't have looked inside. I lost my appetite. It is a good place to have a cold beer and some fries but if you want a meal, check out another place. read more

Dry rubbed grilled wings make my mouth water. I didn't know wings could do that. Also? Deep fried mac-n-cheese. We loved it so much that we traveled across town (I know! All the way across Leesburg!) to get them a second time. If you're getting them to go - call ahead. They get backed up it can take forever. read more

Appears to be a local favorite by how packed this place gets. Don't be deceived, it only looks packed because it's a small place. Food is just decent and it is true they serve large portions but who cares if it is nothing special. I don't know about you but eating out has to be more than just large portions. The biggest issue I have with this place is the service...IT IS BAD!!!! Our waitress did not care about anything and spent her shift talking to other wait staff. She took our order and gave us our check and that was all our interaction with her. I don't ask for much when it comes to being served food, I respect wait staff and know they have it rough sometimes but it is a job and it is what some have chosen to do, so do it well. Wow how the heck have I not posted about this place. It's awesome, they have good menu items at a fair price and they have an own way to put a new swing on a old item. As an example, they have a Philly. It just happens to be better than any one I've had at any other spot. They have a burger, it just happens to be one I could order here every time. I can go on. It looks like a smaller hole in the wall place but it's been there for years. It's got older stuff in it but not outdated. Like a refined more like home "Chillies" if that makes sense. The highway sandwich is good but I have yet to ever get anything there I didn't like. More so I make an effort to order something new whenever I go just to try something new. Sat outside and it was so loud with street traffic and 3 sets of sirens went off in a total of 45min. The vehicles exhaust was too much for my liking and I'm sure not too healthy Food ok, I tried the fried mac and cheese and the queso cheese dip and chips. It was ok. First time here. Atmosphere & meals were good. Server made good suggestion for saving on onion rings. First rings were somewhat overdone (although similar to what we had at other restaurants). Server had them redone. Manager brought replacement to us & adjusted our bill to be sure we were satisfied. All around good experience. Will be back, bringing our golf group. read more

We thought we would try what we were told were the best quesadillas in town. No one acknowledged us when we entered so we had to interrupt servers standing around to ask about seating. The atmosphere was very casual and interesting but there was a peculiar latrine like odor in the air. We decided to stay anyway. Our server's name escapes me but she was pretty good. We ordered quesadillas - a steak and a chicken. My steak one was tasty but one section had a single small piece of meat. The chicken in my husband's was dry. Place was conveniently in front of the Best Western Plus and had a cool exterior. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and it seems to attract a very diverse crowd, and by diverse I mean a homeless-looking (can't confirm) guy who smelled like 3-day old socks after working in the coal mines. Ordered cheese fries which were your standard fries with cheese from a can but average service. Interior was uniquely designed at that would be the highlight of the place. Love this place. Been in Leesburg for a couple months and have tried many places. This is already a favorite. Ribs are GREAT. Servers all seem to have good personality which is so very much appreciated! Also had a chicken cranberry wrap that was very good. Drinks are goo (bourbon & coke) and reasonably priced. So we order wrapped without tomatoes and she said we could have salads instead of fries and asked about happy hour. So the server said. This place is local hang out but I'm not sure that's a good thing. The decor is cool. It's what got us to notice the place and check it out. But beyond that, it's very average. Average service, average food, my burger was a frozen patty. Fries were cold. Chicken sandwich was a perfectly shaped circle "breast". Portions were good, but not huge . Wife and I tried this place after driving by it for nearly 2 years and we had a very enjoyable time. The decor is right in line with the name of the restaurant, which made me glad to see. Tried there wings in February, small, over cooked, the dry rub was sprinkled on like salt, and not a lot of it... Last night, 04/04/2016, ordered the black & blue burger, charbroiled with blue cheese crumbles, per menu... Came out pan fried, or flat grilled.. Some kind of red seasoning ... This is my all time favorite place to eat. The food is amazing, the waitresses make sure your drinks are never empty and your food is done how you expected it to be done. We love to go for a couple of drinks and dinner on the patio. It is never too hot to sit outside there, no matter what the temperature is outside that day or night. If you want a great burger, sub, wings, salad, etc...this is the place to go. Now they do get busy but they will take reservations for you over the phone, no matter what size your party maybe. We had a "party of 15" from various states, family, come in and were going to just hit as many tables as possible close to each other to avoid the "annoying anywhere you go" gratuity, and the waitress was very accommodating. If you walk in and take a right there is a large section which did have a party of 6 reserved, but she found a table for the other party who never did show up and allowed us to have the entire area. Come to find out she was the owners daughter, and she did an outstanding job knowing and remembering who had what, drink and food even though it was all written down on be naps and thrown away after putting in the computer, I even tried to throw her off when my wife's uncle got a cup of buzzards breath chilli as an appetizer tried to tell her it was my brother in laws and she, with a party of 15 mind you, said no, he got a bowl. Lol place is amazing and when my wife and I come back to see her grandmother we will definitely come back. It does seem more of a locals place but they are amazing to those they don't know as well, I mentioned I wanted the chilli recipe for cook offs at an American Legion in North Louisiana and she gave me her father's name to look up on Facebook, hopefully he'll give it to me, tired of losing already! Oh and the cold pink wrap burger, burgers are made to order so if it was cold and pink maybe next time know rare and medium rare is not a hot burger! People seem to find the things they don't like about a place before they actually sit back and think about what is great about a place. When I'm looking for an inexpensive dinner, where everyone in the family is pleased with their choices, I pick Ramshackles. I've never eaten outside, because, well, what's the point? It's near one of the busiest highways in Leesburg, and all you're doing is inhaling a whole lot of exhaust fumes! I always eat inside, and I'm always pleased. The atmosphere is pretty loud, but not so much that you can't hear your table discuss things. I've always had good service here, very friendly waitstaff. The parking can be confusing and annoying, but I typically park next door at the hair salon and walk over. Good food, good waitstaff, good atmosphere.
