My family was in the area so we ordered some pizza to go. We got a large veggie pizza and a large garlic knot pizza with jalapeños. The veggie was good but I think their famous garlic knot one was better. It had garlic knots as the crust and lots of minced garlic topped throughout. It was flavorful and delicious. Service was quick and efficient. We got the food to go so I can't speak to the ambience in the restaurant but I'll say it carried well and tasted great when we ate it back at the hotel. read more

Was in town for the weekend and picked up dinner from here. For such a small town, I would say the pizza was quite good. We had a New York style cheese and veggie. The veggie was a little less crispy, but that is probably due to the moisture from the toppings. They also had a solid salad as well. We picked it up and there was definitely space to pop in and even grab a slice if you're looking for a quick bite. read more

I'm bummed to write this, but wow what an attitude from the manager tonight, 12/19/24. I went in to pick up 2pizzas (I was told 30-35 minutes) after 40 minutes since they sounded busy. The manager looked for my pizzas for a bit, then said 20-25 minutes. I asked oh what happened I was told 30-35 minutes- his response- there were a lot of pizzas. So I sat down and waited 20minutes. When I went to pay, I said gee that's never happened before in all the years I've been coming in. Figuring he might say something like, Sorry we were off in our time, but no, his comment was, what do you want me to do about it? My response, "try not being rude" and he walked away. I usually tip at least 20% since it is counter pickup and they don't make a lot, but I left zip. I like their pizza, but I don't accept rudeness. Watching- he had smiles for the 2 young blonde girls working the register. Still feel bad about not tipping, but wow for that manager. PS. Sadly the pizza was a bit underdone, too. read more

Ramuntos is amazing pizza, albeit a bit pricy The pepperoni is exactly the greasy pizza you'd expect with freshly sliced roni. The crust was exactly what you'd expect on a Sicilian with a slight flop that you can still get behind. From the moment you walk in till you leave the heavy aroma of dough and sauce will fill your senses to the brim and leave you craving that pizza smell you expect from a pizza shop! The staff behind the counter were busy, and you can certainly understand the need to keep things short and talk fast. Anyone trying to talk about irritation of the staff when speaking to them obviously haven't worked in the food industry. Sorry not sorry the customer isn't always right. I ordered the thin crust pizza pie with pepperoni and onion, not bad, but not amazing. The pie is large with good sized-slices, i just wasn't blown away with flavors. I don't get it. When I walked in I was really pumped. There were so many people eating and waiting for their order and I had really high hopes. We ordered a large Works (Supreme) and were on our way. But as soon as I had the box on my lap in the car I knew something was up. There was a smell that I couldn't quite place. To me it smelled like canned pizza sauce. Not sure if they make their own sauces, but it definitely lacked something for me. Yes, the bell peppers and other veggies were fresh but I couldn't get that tomato sauce taste out of my mouth. This was my first time trying the Ramuntos in Rutland and I ordered the chicken ranch pizza. This ranch-based pizza has tomatoes, bacon, broccoli, chunks of white meat chicken, and caramelized onion. This is such a tasty flavor combination, especially the thick-cut pieces of caramelized onion that added a savory-sweet twist to the tangy ranch. This Ramuntos has their COVID-19 take out down to an art, where you can't enter the restaurant but instead open the main door, grab your order, and get on your way. I would definitely recommend Ramuntos in Rutland if you want some great pizza. read more

Spent night here in Rutland, was only pizza place open on Sunday day past 8 pm. Online said 9, but when we got there 10 min before 8, they told us they were about to close and we just made it. Of the several pizza places in the Rutland/Killington area, we thought this was a tie with Hop-N-Moose, but we bought this and drove it back to Killington, vs eating in at Hop-N-Moose, so it could potentially be the best around. My family and I are from New Jersey, a state with an abundance of high quality pizzerias. While vacationing in Killington we found ourselves in the mood for pizza. A bit of internet research indicated that Ramunto's was a highly regarded local pizzeria, so we drove down from the mountains to give it a try (note: none of the local pizzerias seem to deliver up the mountain - including Ramunto's - granted, it's a 20-30 minute drive one way). The store was big and spacious with a very long food counter staffed by a large number of workers who were busy filling orders. We ordered a chef salad and Sicilian pizza. The salad was generously portioned, fresh and delicious. The Sicilian pizza was just OK - the crust, sauce and cheese were all just average, particularly when measured against my local favorites back in New Jersey and New York. My boys (aged 10 and 13) raved about the pizza at Ramunto's. My one negative comment about Ramunto's is that the store has a peculiar smell. Not the smell of food, but the smell of an old industrial town. I would also recommend Ramunto's to modernize and brighten its dining room.
