But when I got my food, I got the hashbrowns and not the toast. I told the server who then told me that the toast wasn't included even if the menu said otherwise, but that he'd bring me toast anyway. When I went to pay after I finished eating I noticed they charged me extra for that side of toast. If the menu says it's included, why was I charged? Given that experience we probably should have just left, but we stayed and wanted to give this spot that appeared to be frequented by the locals a try. French toast was perfect not too sweet and no overwhelming egg taste that's off putting for some. Portions are very generous and service was great! However, on the menu it clearly marked you can sub items but it did not note that additional charges may apply. How would you accurately calculate the check when you "take off a dollar here" (off my sandwich) and "add two for substituting fries for a salad"? At the minimum the waitress should've notified us. Furthermore, only my plate was charged more, but substituting the coleslaw for potato salad doesn't cost extra. That doesn't make sense to me. Food is decent but not amazing. Ordered tuna melt, fish sandwich, and country steak. Service was rather slow. You pay up front but the waitress took our card and offered to get the check for us. Family owned restaurant since 1999 this place offers a great breakfast which, to me, is like a combination of Mexican and country. I ordered the Spanish omelette which was filling and not greasy and contained a good amount of stuffing. I asked for spinach to be added and that means I usually get 3-4 sprigs of greens, but this place did a great job of putting a good amount of spinach in there. The flavor of the Spanish omelet had just the right amount of heat. What impressed me is that I received an entire half an avocado! I ordered one pancake and it was very light, a normal size (about 6" in diameter) and very buttermilky and delicious. Worth the calories. The service was crap. And I mean this lady's service was not worth the price of an antelope turd. She took more than 5 minutes to come to our table, she came by only to drop off the food and to let us know that she was reassigned from waitress to cashier - except when we went to payout she was not the cashier. There's nothing wrong with Ranch House Grille. It's standard greasy spoon in a small western town. I always struggle with giving a 3-star review, but 3-stars means "A-OK" and this was okay. My beautiful partner and the other couple we were with all enjoyed their meals, but it wasn't anything special. This may even have been the best breakfast in Page, but I just can't give it 4 stars. I would go 3.5 if I could (I say that a lot and should probably just start every review with, "why/why not 3.5 stars?" but then Brett N from Tampa would sue me for review copyright infringement, and that would cost me a lot of money in legal bills). So anyway, Ranch House is a good size greasy spoon, and good for breakfast or lunch. I ordered a bone-in ham steak and eggs, which used to be my go-to breakfast at 4 AM at a 24 hour diner in NY, but not something I can find often in Florida. It was on special, which meant it was 50 cents cheaper than the menu price. The ham was cooked fine and the over easy eggs were over easy. The rye toast was toasted fine and the hashbrowns were nice and well done. It was nothing special though - granted, I didn't order anything special and this was a very easy meal I could have made in my own home - but nevertheless, it was okay. It was good. It filled me up. But I was not blown away. It didn't help that the coffee was weaker than weak. It also didn't help that our service was terrible. Our server came by after 5-7 minutes to let us know she'd be right back after dealing with another table. They were busy, but not full and a lot of tables already had their meals. Well, "right back" turned into another 10 minutes, and it was probably a good 20 or so total from being sat until our order was taken. Once our food came out, that was the last we saw of her until she dropped the check. She claimed they put her behind the counter as cashier to clear the line, but really, it was at least 30 minutes. There weren't that many tables that it should take you 30 minutes to cash out those that were waiting. Our drinks never got refilled until we were almost done. It was near the end of the shift and it was also the last weekend of the season, so I am sure our server was tired, but she should have been a bit more attentive. I would come back here - Page is a small town and breakfast places are few and far between - but I wouldn't come for anything special. If you want a simple breakfast, come here. The omletes are huge and they have a lot of options. You'll probably leave satisfied, which is fine. You just won't leave thinking you have to come back. read more

We came in for a late breakfast and i was craving lunch so i opted for a grilled ham and cheese, and unfortunately it had little to no flavor. I was a bit disappointed, though the tater tots were absolutely delicious. Yikes! My wife ordered tea, her mug arrived empty along with a pot of hot water and some tea packets so she can prepare the tea herself. The problem was that her mug was filthy inside, I immediately assumed it was just stained from the many years of use and thought nothing of it, I mean it's a country diner, nothing fancy. However after she made her napkin wet and added some antibacterial to it she rubbed the inside of the mug and it suddenly became sparkling white clean! My assumption was wrong, we now know the reason it was dirty is because someone is not properly cleaning the dishes in the kitchen. I have high standards for breakfast focused restaurants, but even under normal standards, I would still say this was a little above 2 stars, but I am giving it a 3 because of the service, the prices and the local feel. Here are the good things about this restaurant. It has a local feel. The service is incredible, quick and attentive, and I never had an empty cup of coffee or water. The staff were kind and helpful. The prices were relatively cheap for everything you get, so lots of value. The ambiance and decor is ranch style meets Native American style. They have an assortment of antique farming tools on the walls next to Native American rugs. The front features tons of Native American kachina dolls for sale. The two star rating comes because the food was lacking. The hash browns were very very dry and pretty much inedible for me. The French toast was alright, but very eggy. I did enjoy the biscuits and gravy, the biscuit was very light and fluffy and the gravy was nice. I also had a biscuit with gravy.
