Instantly I was in awe of bike selection they had out on the floor. I was already considering purchasing a road bike and I came back a week later and the employee Sergio walked me through the entire process and helped make the proper adjustments on the bike I was purchasing. As a result of Trek recalling their pedals, I headed to RC Cyclery USA for replacements. I met with John in the service department, and he was awesome. He only had one set of new pedals in stock, so he ordered two more for me. While also at the store, Justin in sales helped me select a quality bike rack for my truck. He also assisted me with the first time setup and explained how to use it properly. Very helpful. So far, the bike rack has worked as designed with no issues. On the second visit, John's service partner was present to change out the other two sets of pedals. He also cut down a seat post for me. Since I had two bikes to take to my truck, another employee assisted me with that. All employees, service, and products have been excellent in my experience with RC Cyclery. read more

Last week I need some triflow and degreaser to lube a chain on an old bike I "found" in my garage. I had seen this place, and wanted to try it. I looked around and found the stuff i needed and walked up to the register. The guy was selling a bike for thousands of dollars to a couple that had come in before me...even so, the guy told me he would be with me in just a moment. While the couple was pondering one of the details of the bike, the dude at the counter opened another register, and got me taken care of. However, with zero experience on selecting the right bike, it is too heavy for me to ride on, I called to ask if I could upgrade for other model. This time I met James, and he really took time and let me try 3 models on different price points- basic flat handle, more speedy drop bar, and even fancy carbon tubeless one. I ended up getting TREK FX2 stagger cuz it fits my current needs, and it's what's available right away in house. My experience was not good; the salesman at the front was on their phone at first, and then he was dismissive and somewhat condescending. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what, but I went elsewhere that day to make my purchase. They did look like they had a good selection of bikes to choose from, and I would have liked to talk with the other employee in the back instead of writing this, but he was extremely busy. I hope this was a one-off or it gets discussed for the shop's future. I'll give them another try later. I like to shop locally whenever possible; I don't want a bike shop so close to close. read more

Took my road bike in for a tune up, it was like getting a brand new bike! Reasonable price for the amount of work.

I bought a Recumbent Trike last February with PaPa Biden's money (you have to call him PaPa because he is 109 years old) and it has changed my health and my life. I am riding between 75 and 100 miles a week now. So when my Trike broke and the parts I needed were not readily available. I did a lot of research and decided to take my Trike to Rancho Cucamonga Cyclery USA. The techs there walked with me back to my truck to look at my bike. I explained the issue and added what I explained above and told them how important it was to me to get back to riding ASAP. They took the bike in and said that the would look at it right away (and I know they had a lot of other bikes to work on). They found out what I already knew and the parts were not available for weeks or months. They called me the next day and gave me a few options to get the repair done sooner and said they could have it back to me in a week or so. Long story short, they called me three days later and said it was ready to go! I picked it up that same day. The next day I was back to feeding my riding addiction. The guys here went above and beyond to get me my Trike back as quickly as possible and I am extremely grateful. The couple other repair shops I called told me how busy they were and the problems they would have to do a quick turn around without even seeing the trike. But Rancho Cucamonga Cyclery USA just told me to bring it down so they could take a look. Everyone I talked to here were very friendly and professional and made me feel like I definitely made the right choice of a "Trike" repair shop. This shop had been our "go to" for several years. My husband routinely had his mountain bike tuned up by the staff at this location and we had never had any problems. On April 3rd we ventured to the shop to fix my husband's mountain bike and decided to peruse for a bike for myself. We were told the current features on his bike were not adequate (Cyclery USA had performed the tune up in the preceding years), but I understand techniques and protocols evolve. Fine. They serviced my husband's bike: new tubes etc. The service provided regarding the purchase of a new bike was less than substandard. The gentleman offered no information and was not helpful. He simply pointed in what direction the women's bikes were. We left disappointed. We are even more disappointed after calling the shop today to inform them the tire had gone flat. The tire became flat after a .5mile ride across a paved street.No cracks, no stickers, no holes noted in the integrity of the tire. We were simply told it is not under warranty. Considering the work was done within the last 30 days and the bike had only been ridden for .5miles on a paved street, I would have hoped for a better response. "Hey, not sure what happened, but we can take a look" "bring the bike in, we can see what what can be done". Etc. Extremely disappointed. We did take our business elsewhere and purchased my new mountain bike through another local vendor. read more

These guys do a great job of maintaining our bikes. The fact that they can often get our bikes back to us same day is nice given how many folks have taken up riding during and post pandemic. $50 will cover most of your basic needs which is all we've needed up until now for the past year ( squeaky brakes, cable tightening etc...). The guys here also recommended heavier duty tire tubes or slime since the roads around Rancho can be littered with debris and I can't thank them enough for that. Check them out if you're a noob who's new to riding or finally getting back onto a bike since your childhood days. read more

So, as promised by the business manager, I received a call from the manager(?) who told me he had spoken to John, and if I took my bike back in, they would resolve the issues. So I attached my bike carrier to my truck, placed my bike on it, strapped it down, and drove across town.....again. I talked to John, who acknowledged he was expecting me, and made sure he had my contact info. I told him i would be back in 30 minutes. So i went to my truck and made a couple of calls. 30 minutes went by, and I went in to retrieve my bike. Yet another guy brings out my bike, daying he adjusted the derailleur, and it "seems to be fine now." He stated he rode it ( was near the entrance and never saw him before now). Then he told me he couldn't see what I meant by my bars not being lined up. He stated he had old eyes and couldn't see it very well. Please note that John was in the service area and is much younger, so presumably better eyes. I sat on the bike and it was obvious to me, so I said never mind, I'll fix. Take my bike to the parking lot and rode it shifting slowly through the gears until I got to 2 - 2 and sure enough, dragging against the derailleur. So now all told, today, I am in 1.5 hrs to be right where I was standing before R9bert called me this morning. On the upside, I was a 20 dollar store credit should I ever be stupid enough to walk through their doors again. I am going to take my son's advice. Just look it up on YouTube, how to adjust your derailleur. read more

Pretty unhelpful, whole vibe seemed to be one of they are doing me a complete favour. I try and stay awake from the big brand locations but the way I was treated in this shop blew me away. I'm not a cycling expert by any means, in fact I would pay more just to hear opinions and information. Instead I was treated as the village idiot for not knowing much about the products & bearing components.
