Winnie stayed at St. Mark's this past weekend and had a blast! I rescued Winnie 7 months ago and although she's thrived being in our home, she's still very cautious and I was concerned in how she would react being away from home. St Mark's changed all of that from the first phone call. The lady who answered listened to Winnie's story and was very understanding. Walking into St Marks Winnie was a little nervous, but once she got in the door and started meeting her caretakers she looked so happy and comfortable. She didn't even look behind her as she was walked away lol Throughout Winnie's stay the staff sent me photos and videos of Winnie. I loved being able to have that, seeing Winnie have fun helped me to enjoy my own trip. Although it looks like Winnie had the better vacation lol I did choose to add grooming before I picked her up. Best decision...best groom ever, she came back smelling good and so so soft! Thank you St. Mark's for truly showing love and care, I know my baby is in good hands. read more

I found St Marks Dog Resort through a recommendation from a stranger who had a shared love of Goldendoodles. From our first grooming appt (about a yr ago) to sadly our last in Dec 2025, Jackie was the best! Kind, gentle, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable; always so warm and welcoming for myself and my pup. In March of this year, I called to schedule an appt and was told that Jackie no longer worked there and was provided no explanation or additional info. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed. I can't speak to what happened, as I don't know. Fortunately, after a bit of a search, I was able to find Jackie and thankfully, she has moved on with her own business. I'm so grateful I was able to reconnect with her as she's the best groomer we've ever had. As far as the 2 star rating, that stands for the business with regard to their lack of acknowledgement and communication with her clients. This rating by no means represents Jackie, as she is well beyond a 5 star rating! Knight has been coming to St. Marks since he was a puppy, and I truly couldn't imagine a better place for him. This is hands-down his favorite place in the world to play with all of his fur friends. Every time he goes, he comes home happy, fulfilled, and perfectly tired from running and playing all day. The staff is absolutely amazing--always kind, attentive, and genuinely loving toward the dogs. You can tell they truly care, and that peace of mind as a dog parent is priceless. Knight is always so excited to go, which says everything. They are quite literally the best dog camp. If you want a happy, well-exercised, and content dog, this is the place. I trust St. Marks dog resort to care for Hank and Jesse. They send pictures off our pups to us when they are there, and they are always responsive to inquiries and giving updates. We use them for the occasional play day and overnight stay. We use their grooming services for nail trims as well. I appreciate the attentive staff. They gave a great valet drop off area that just shows the concierge service they provide. read more

While I appreciate that they responded, I'm really shocked by their policy. I was told my 5-month-old bully mix puppy -- friendly, in training, and not yet spayed -- could attend daycare, but she would be kept entirely separate from other dogs solely because of her breed. Not because of her behavior. Not because she's unspayed. Because of her breed. They never asked to meet her, assess her temperament, or evaluate her personality. The decision was made without ever seeing her, which feels unfair, deeply biased, and discriminatory. Doggy daycare is meant for socialization and positive exposure, and being isolated all day defeats the entire purpose. I called several other daycares afterward, and this is not standard practice. If you have a bully breed, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Their blanket assumptions raise serious concerns, and I wouldn't trust them to provide fair or thoughtful care for my dog. To the owner, I've seen your response to the other woman who left a review three years ago on the same issue. Get it together. Also, no, do not compare yourself to petsmart. Compare your business to other independent doggy day cares. read more

I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but we came in for a groom the other day and a shorter male groomer with gray hair refused services, rudely stating he "won't be ruining my dogs coat." I have been having my dog shaved for years with no issues we don't mind the cost being changed, we just want his hair cut so he's comfortable. Had the groomer been more kind in his approach to the conversation, I would've skipped leaving a review and just found a new groomer elsewhere. read more

I have been taking my GSP here for the past couple months for daycare and I am so grateful to the staff. I looked far and wide before choosing this facility for my pup. They had the most generous hours, I could drop off before work, no need to let them know ahead of time - just show up! and I am always guaranteed dogs for my crazy pup to play with. My dog also loves water and the lagoon has been a huge hit with her. I appreciate that they do an evaluation of each dog before approving them to play. They post super cute videos on Instagram and I have seen my pup playing multiple times. Running through the water, playing with bubbles, playing with other dogs - they also send pictures every time she visits and that gives me reassurance that she is having fun. When I pick her up she is TIRED, which is exactly what I want. The staff here knew her name by the 2nd visit. We will not be back after our last experience at this place. The entire vibe has changed and after our last encounter with an employee named "Jim", we are no longer comfortable bringing our dog there. Which it seems we were not going to be allowed back anyways after Jim basically refused services to our pet who has never had issues anywhere else. It was obvious our dog was not comfortable around him and neither were we. I've boarded my dog there several times, unfortunately the last two times he contracted a bacterial infection. Both times he required treatment with antibiotics and steroids from my vet. This dog has never had any allergies or bacterial infections in five years, I can only attribute this to the pool activity or the lack of drying him after playing in water. read more

I started taking my puppy to St Bark's as soon as she finished up her vaccinations. I really appreciated Kayla's help in setting up the initial evaluation ($25) and letting me fill out all the paperwork via email so I could do as minimal paperwork when I got there. My puppy was so happy to play and meet the staff and has been going there 1-2x week for about 6 weeks. I absolutely love that they send photos and sometimes videos of her playing with the other dogs and it seems they take a lot of consideration of who gets to play with who (ex: I was really worried about socializing bc of Covid and how my puppy would react. Kayla told me about another puppy around the same age and a couple slightly older ones but similar size) They offer packages for daycare but they expire within 90 days so if you're new but still want to save some money, you should probably opt for the smaller package. If you plan on using them frequently than their biggest package saves you an extra $50 total. They're also partnered up with a pet supply store that sells cute cookies! Lots of different foods and they normally have a special of some sort going on. Pretty good selection of toys too! read more

Less then thrilled with ST. Marks right now. I booked a stay for my 3 pups on July 21 for one night. To start, I Pre packed food for the dogs to eat for their stay. Upon pick up the next day, I noticed my pit bulls food was returned to me full as I brought it in.. I didn't think too much of it but the next day my dog was sick with the runs. This is an indicator that she was not fed her normal food and unfortunately resulted in me having to throw away her bed since it was soiled. Next my small pug mix developed a cough a few days after picking her up. It progressively got worse and needed to be taken to the vet today. The Vet diagnosed her with kennel cough which will no doubt trickle down to the other 2 dogs. Listen I understand things happen but for the premium that they charge here, I expect my pets to be taken care of! Now I'm stuck having to pick up the pieces from an unfortunate one night stay. We are regulars here and now im hesitant to bring my pets back. I expect ST Marks to make this right. read more

Extremely friendly and caring staff. I honestly walk in with a very optimistic viewpoint. I quickly changed my opinion once. I saw how friendly everybody was and how much they really do care about the animals. I was looking after my friend's puppies because he is in London. And he was worried. The dogs might get PTSD then didn't basically locked up. But I was surprised to find. They were extremely happy both in their environment and with me being there. They've been nothing short of great to me & my pup since I started bringing him! I even got the hours wrong for the weekend daycare, missed the phone call for pickup, and they still gave him food, a place to sleep, and boarded him for the night. Beware! Beware! Beware! Wish I could leave negative stars First and foremost I am very reticent to give poor reviews that would personally impact a business negatively. In the case due to the trauma and suffering inflicted on my dog, I feel a responsibility to warn others. My dog Honey went to St. Mark's three times, during one of the visits, she was bitten, the wound was apparently cleaned, and the entire incident covered up and not reported to me. She was scheduled to be boarded there for 10 days, when she woke up not eating, and acting like her normal self, I discovered the wound and took her immediately to emergency Vet Clinic - where she underwent major surgery, within (2) days the wound abscessed and she had to have major surgery again resulting in a 12 inch incision. All of this pain and suffering to my sweet girl could have been avoided if they had simply been transparent and honest. Since, I presented a letter requesting all of my losses to be paid, they have been totally unresponsive. Also, it should be noted: Honey loves other dogs, isn't aggressive at all, and doesn't live with any other animals, in an enclosed property. So it definitely occurred there. So, regrettably I'm going to have to sue them to recover my charges, but I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. read more

We have been taking our dog Olive here since she was about 4 months old. She LOVES to go to daycare. All of the staff are incredibly kind and know our pup by name the minute we pull up. Our dog gets so excited when she knows we are getting close to St. Marks. I love getting the pictures of her when she is at daycare, and I REALLY love the new valet drop-off/pick-up service. I have a new baby so being able to leave him in the carseat and have someone load/unload my dog right from my car is amazing. St. Marks saved us during the puppy stage- it was the best way for our dog to burn off energy. She came home exhausted (and still does). We don't know what we would do without St. Marks! read more

Charlie LOVES this place. We started going here after our daughter moved out. Charlie really missed her and was home more by himself. He needed more excitement in his life. THIS WAS THE PLACE FOR THAT. We started off with an evaluation, which I was very happy about. Charlie is an only dog, so we didn't know what to expect. They offer packages for half and full days. Prices are VERY reasonable. With the full day package, I love the flexibility of just being able to drop him off and pick him up whenever I need. The facility is big and always very clean. Conveniently located, plenty of parking. Staff is always super friendly and very accommodating. Staff always sends me the most hilarious pics of him playing which warms the heart. I can't say good enough things about St. Marks. I was going into labor and had a reservation at Petsmart for my dog, but they wouldn't accept her vaccination records. Of course, I was freaking out because I was about to deliver a baby and couldn't find someone to care for my furbaby while I was in the hospital. Enter St. Marks. They took her, with her current vaccinations, on the spot, for 4 days. My favorite part was that they sent me photos of my baby everyday, so I wouldn't worry. I even got a follow up call on the last day of her stay, asking me if I was going to need her to stay another night because of my hospital stay. Their level of care and compassion really saved me when I was in a bind. I appreciate them so much, and won't hesitate to use them again if I ever need to board in the future. read more

I only wish I found this pet boarding place sooner! One of the only good things to come out of this pandemic is that I found St. Barks for my 13 y/o dog Baxter. The check-in is flawless. I have checked my pet in on two different occasions and the total time was less than two minutes! This is a far cry from my previous two pet hotel places. Update text reminders along with photos of my dog during the duration of the stay was a real treat! The kids loved seeing Bax! Check out was equally as fast with me in/out in less than 3 minutes. The staff was also more than willing to give eye drops to my dog for no extra charge. When have you heard of such service?!! My older dog may not have many years left but we will be using St. Barks again Lord willing. read more

This facility practices breed discrimination. The only one in the area that I've come across with this nonsense. I will never support a business with these guidelines. They wouldn't allow daycare for my 5-MONTH-OLD German Shepherd mix who is 24% pitbull. He has multiple Shepherd breeds in his DNA. I'd like to see them do a DNA test on their clients because only ignorant people judge a dog by its looks. They should remove pics of the other pups that "appear" to be "attack" breeds or those that may be considered a bully breed. EXAMPLE: tell me if my pup looks like a pit. No one can determine that by his physical attributes. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: As I stated, my pup was not allowed for daycare. My complaint is that you do discriminate - it doesn't matter how. (From your website) We implement breed restrictions for GROUP play- Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog, and any mix thereof. We are happy to have these breeds stay and play with us, but in Private Play one-on-one with our attendants. I thought it was weird when there are pictures of several dogs that appear to be part of the bully category - as well as dogs who might be considered part of the "attack breed" category. I think those labels are ridiculous but that's my personal opinion. However, this is not the first mention of this in the Yelp reviews. Additionally, I do not consider Petco a boarding facility...whether or not you agree with me. They very well may have breed restrictions, but I am speaking about independent boarding/daycare facilities. It certainly surprised me that a 5-month-old Shepherd mix would be an issue. I have owned nothing but Pitbulls my entire life and know very well about the breed restrictions. Your page clearly demonstrates it and this is why I don't support businesses with ANY form of breed discrimination. How do you determine which dogs are considered part of the bully breed? I took my 2 puppies this past weekend and this was not a positive experience at all. First, I was told that they'd send pictures of my puppies - I had to call and ask for some and they did send them to me. The person I spoke to also told me that they didn't eat breakfast that day. When I picked them up, they smelled as if they had been laying in urine. I understand they're in a kennel and I expected to give them a bath when I picked them up, but it was pretty bad. I asked how they did and the attendants weren't able to tell me a thing. Nothing about their behavior, how they played, did they go in the pool, how'd they eat, was their pooping and pottying normal, etc. When they got home, my boy was extremely lethargic, he was limping, biting me, wouldn't eat and winced when I helped him into the tub. I realized they emailed me the invoice and saw that it said "Invoice, Report Cards". My thought was that maybe this would tell me why he was acting the way he was. NOPE. It didn't tell me anything other than the schedule showed private plays and K9 Influenza which I knew he was getting that. Was he sick the entire stay? Who knows. Communication is important when you're caring for someone's babies and they're lacking in this area. read more

My 3 yr old dog Max (or Lil' Max as they nicknamed him :) is always taken care of at this facility and has been going here since he was 4 months old. Whether there for group play or boarding, we have never had an issue. They also sell his food brand there, Victor, which is hard to find elsewhere. read more

I dropped my dog off for an evaluation and got a call 10 minutes later that she failed because she is a pit bull mix. Nowhere on the website does it say pitties are not allowed nor was it asked about in the online screening. They asked what breed she is and I put pointer mix, which she is. What a waste of time. *Note: the website does say something about breed restrictions, so I guess I should have gone over it with a fine-toothed comb? However I called and talked to at least two people who didn't bother to warn me or ask about my dog's mix. Nor did anyone mention anything when I dropped her off. They just said "oh what a cute dog." Also, no one offered me any sort of alternative service such as one on one play, they just said "come pick your dog up." But I guess my bad for not reading the website but talking to a human instead. Suggestion: you could give people a heads up during the sign up process online. Where it says "what breed is your dog?" you could have a box to check if the dog is mixed with a "restricted breed." That way people could at least anticipate that there might be an issue and call to ask, or your screeners could have the info beforehand to warn people. read more
