So I been coming to this location since I got my dog at 7 weeks old, then started an aquarium. This is my favorite location customer service wise. Last week I was in the store twice for fish and Leah was so knowledgeable and professional with the fish and able to answer all my questions as I'm still a relatively new fish owner! Their cashiers, I think it's the manager? A gentleman who I've seen walk a few times and always tells me hello, but u recommend this location, I've purchased two dog crates as he outgrew the XL one quick, multiple fish and multiple toys, balls, and bones! Also if you need a string dog collar, the 2 inch Kong is amazing! My dog has had one almost a year now with no issues and seems to be comfortable as when I take it off he won't leave it alone lol read more

Took my dog to the grooming salon to get his nails clipped. The groomers/bathers were not welcoming at all. No "hi" or "welcome". Everyone looked pretty miserable. When I was thinking of turning his nail trim into a full bath and brush service the employee had to go in the back and get the groomer who then came out and gave me attitude "oh ok so not just a nail trim. A full service" They didn't go over everything it included. I had to ask questions to make sure. What really set me off was as I was walking away she goes "oh he looks so skinny" and said it in such a concerned and weird tone. Excuse me? He's a 5 month old puppy. If you know anything about dogs, their ribs stick out a little when they're puppies. I feed my dog very healthy and expensive dog food and he doesn't go hungry. I thought that was weird. When I picked him up, he was clean and nails were cut good. She said "he is so terrified" ... He was wagging his little tail happy to see me. He wasn't "terrified". It was his first time having a spa day and maybe this groomer just had too much on her plate to give him slow and loving care. The customer service in this grooming salon sucks. Hey petsmart. It's summer in southern california. When it's hotter inside your store than it is outside that's unacceptable. Air conditioning is a thing. Use it. There's no reason people should be coming in your store to shop and walking out dripping. Needs to be set at a constant 68 so people are comfortable. Otherwise we can shop on amazon or chewy and put you out of business. As a side note, you should not be charging people for bags. And you should be using plastic. Paper bags break and are worse from the environment because they require the cutting down of trees. Plastic is reusable for many purposes and sturdy. He just does not like his back paw touched. On 5/13/25, I brought my dog to your shop for a bath. shortly after dropping the dog off, the staff called me, telling me my dog was having a panic attack, and she even had diarrhea. I was ok with that, but when I went to pick up my dog, she was completely soaked and wet. Water was dripping off her, I was really surprised. I asked the staff to dry my dog with a towel, after all, a wet dog could easily catch a cold. But they told me the shop had no towels. I couldn't believe it. How could a pet shop not have towels? You didn't give my dog a bath, yet they returned her to me soaked. This is totally irresponsible. I hope your manager takes this matter seriously and gives me a reasonable explanation. Your service was clearly flawed and could have harmed my dog's health. This was a terrible experience for me and my dog. read more

Manager is very on top of things here! I took all four dogs for grooming. They helped me get them checked in easily, they did their cuts per the breed which I was happy with and all dogs seemed really happy at pick up. They were really fast, but thorough. I lived their cuts! They had never been to a grooming salon before so i was really nervous, but there were no problems. I mentioned the nails weren't done on some back legs (more sensitive there) and the manager said if the dogs are resistant they don't do it. They won't "force" the dogs in anyway to get a job done. I respect that. Makes the dogs feel comfortable and secure. He did take some cost off the cut which was nice too. It's a really well run store, well stocked, clean, attentive staff. We have attended beginner and intermediate classes with Barbie and our experience has been awesome. Barbie creates classes that are personable and pay attention to each individual's needs, dogs and people alike. Our dog has anxiety issues and we have made big strides thanks to Barbie's expertise, we had become discouraged prior to Barbie's classes. We quickly understood why Barbie had been so highly recommended. Great person, casual atmosphere, obvious expertise and all around positive and professional experience. We also saw how Barbie is a presence in the operation of the whole store, she would be a valuable asset as a manager for PetSmart. This review is specifically for the grooming department, not the store. Today I took my dog in. He's a 13 year old, 13lbs Maltese Poodle. Not exactly Kujo. I've been coming to Petsmart a few years, but due to some less than satisfactory occurrences, I've split my business between Petsmart and other groomers. I only go to Petsmart now when the other groomers are booked out for days. Aside from the price getting considerably higher over the past few years, it's seems they're always trying to figure out ways to get you to pay for upgrades. The price for the grooming has gone up while at the same time, the services they used to offer in that basic grooming have been removed and put into a "luxury package". On top of that, the groomers just seem less skilled. So today I drop my dog off. When the service was done , they called me but I wasn't near my phone so they left a voice mail. The girl leaving the message says, "I couldn't do his paws, so I had to ask a co-worker to help. Next time, we're going to charge you more because the other groomers has to stop what they're doing to help. But we'll not charge this time." As if they're doing me a favor. So I get to the store and his paws aren't shaved at all. When I asked why his paws weren't even shaved, the guy said, "I'm sorry, but that's the best we could do." Two grown adults with a 13 pound dog and this was the best they could do? Mind you, I have been coming here for years and take my dog to other groomers and they have never had an issue with trimming his paws. So I'm thinking I'm due for a discount since the job wasn't completed. Nope! Not here. Not at Petsmart. In fact, they'll make it seem like they did you a favor by not charging you more. When I told the guy that no one else has had a problem trimming his paws, he asked if the other groomers were privately owned. I said "yes". He told me they can restrain the dogs better there. But again, I've been to this Petsmart before. The groomer that would always work on my dog was named Reyna. She was awesome but I don't think she works there anymore. These groomers, their skill is lower and their business acumen is not good. Would I recommend anyone to go here? Not at all. Look elsewhere. Preferably a private groomer according to this Petsmart employee. I'm done with this location. read more

Was in this petsmart shopping around and saw this chinchilla, which looked so sad. They are not taking care of this animal properly as it had no water or food in its cage. I grew up with two chinchillas and know how to take care of them. They need to have a dust bowl to roll in for their fur/hygiene. The cage was filled with poop. I want to start off this review by stating my experience with the grooming department from this location, I was there bright and early Sunday morning and was poorly treated by a staff member in the grooming department by the name of Jade. I initially made contact with Jade in the grooming department while she was not busy with another customer or doing anything else, she set me aside not just once, but twice to help other customers who came in after I did. When another worker of the grooming department came in, she handed me off to him to finish checking in my Chinese shar pei. I was then told that my dogs eye boogers were contagious and would get other dogs sick, I told jade that my dog is not sick or contagious and that they were just eye boogers, you know the same eye boogers she herself would get after a late night of partying, anyways. She denied my dog of their grooming service and I went to another establishment. Quite simple. Don't go here for grooming services, they seem to only want to treat cute little doggies that wake up apparently according to her, pretty and not contagious. Go somewhere else. It's absolutely infested with cockroaches, the service is pretty good but if your short tempered you won't last quite long there. We signed up for the basic training class for our K-9. We attended two classes, afterwards some issues popped up and we missed a class. We were like we should go back there even though we missed one of them. We arrived there early like always then the other dogs arrived and the class started, we sat there for half an hour just watching the other dogs show what they learned over the past few weeks we felt so ashamed that we couldn't do the tricks so we just sat there. Afterwards we headed outside of the training area I just couldn't handle the embarrassment anymore so we just left during the class. I will never go back there again. Overall they have everything sectioned it's pretty easy to find the items you need. The employees are really nice as well. I recommend them if you're just going there to adopt or to shop. read more

This is specifically for the Grooming Salon. I've been bringing my dogs here for a while now and have never really had any issues until today. They were brought in for baths which I guess is different from a full bath/haircut, but still a bath nonetheless. They both came out looking exactly the same as they did when they went in; one dog had crusties still in her eye area and her little face beard was still in chunks stuck together. The other dogs face was totally wet but he still had debris stuck in his chin area. The guy that helped me checkout (didn't get his name but he was very nice) got my first dog and I legit asked him if he was even bathed. He very nicely took him back to the table to clean his face, which shouldn't have had to happen to begin with cause again...they had a bath right!?, and he asked a girl named Jessica to bring out my other dog. She walked out, opened the little swinging door, unclipped her from their standard blue leash, set her free and turned around and walked away. Didn't say a word. Turns out the girl who "bathed" my dogs was Alyssa. Even if cleaning their face isn't part of a bath, which I don't see why it wouldn't be, you'd think if you noticed their eye fur with debris stuck to it you'd take the 5 minutes needed to clean it to reflect your work ethic. Overall, crappy bath excecution and I had to come home and comb the crap out of their eyes and chins and found matted hair behind their ears, so I'm not entirely sure what I paid for (maybe a bath from the neck down?) but I probably won't be doing it again. read more

I took my dog to the grooming department.. I went to pick her up and she didn't have 2 services done that I paid for. But I didn't check her over before I left because my girl is an excited pee-er.. so I checked her when I got home after she had pottied. No sani trim or paw pad trim. I paid $68 for those services to be included.. I called and the groomer said she had forgot.. I get it, she has a lot of dogs, but bottom line is I paid for something I didn't get.. They said I could bring her in, I have plans today, they said they'd write a note and I could bring her back in another day.. but I squeezed it in.. they took me right away, I waited probably about 10 mins and my dog was done. The groomer was so sweet and apologized countless times. That was nice of her, I could tell she was sincerely sorry and it was sincerely a mistake. I originally had a 1 star review written out and posted...buuut, they were really nice about it. I'm not happy I had to drive back there a 3rd time, when it should've only been 2.. The services that I DO NOT use for my dogs are 1) grooming 2) vet hospital 3) day care 4) training. My review is solely for the products that they offer. When on sale, you can find some great deals especially on the pee pads, Blue Buffalo canned and dry food, True Chew jerky treats and bully sticks, dental chews etc. I don't buy dogs beds here and get those at Costco. This location is convenient. There are also places to eat within the plaza with outdoor seating so your dog can eat outside with you. i was a loyal customer to this pet smart and only this Upland location for my cats and then i added piggies to the family ... i went in wanting to adopt a pig which that process was super easy . i ended up adopting a baby female abyssinian bought her absolutely everything from pet smart * do not buy their cages they're not big enough for these piggies * spent around $300 on all her necessities i was super happy and excited bc i immediately fell in love with her .. 4 DAYS LATER she starts to show signs that she was ill so i call pet smart since they have a "14 day guartentee " if they get sick which i just wanted her to be okay and get her back .. they all promised me she was okay that she looked healthy i dropped her off saturday afternoon and got a call sunday saying she was dead . MY POINT IS DONT SHOP AT PETSMART GO TO A SHELTER PLEASE .. these animals they're selling are SICK and they're so uneducated on their care and maintenance . they failed to let me know her cause of death and the manager steph or whatever her name is tried to have a smart mouth when i asked her abt it . they're killing innocent animals they don't care to treat them before putting out in display all these animals come from a warehouse infested with thousands of sick animals please look into shelters and do your research before considering petsmart or petco . it will save you a heartbreak .. read more

She took the time to figure out the problem and issued me the refund with a smile on her face. Then, when I bought a new type of cat food, it turns out I picked up dog food. I've been bringing my dog to PetsMart for grooming for years!! I normally go to the Goendora location, but they were fully booked. Now I know why the Upland location had a wide open schedule. I dropped my dog off today at 8:50am for a 9:00am groom appointment. Upon checking in the girl at the front had a horrible attitude. I decided to let it go, maybe she was having a bad morning. I go about my day. At noon, I get a phone call stating that it would need to be a little longer, as he wasn't a fan of the dryer. This is not unusual, as I've been told this before. At 12:30 I decide to go in and grab him, as he's probably just a little damp. Upon walking in to pay and grab him, she looks stunned that I'm there. I dropped him off over 3 and a half hours prior. I needed to pick up my son from school and planned accordingly. My dog has never taken longer than 3 hours, ever! Even with other groomers and mainly air drying. She looked at the clock and said ummm ok, as she's working on another dog, "I can clean his ears but he hasn't been brushed". Excuse me? Hasn't been brushed? It's now been over 3 and a half hours since I dropped him off. I said I'll pay and be right back to grab him, I don't have any time. I pay almost $42! For what a bath?! I could've done the same at home for free. The more I thought about it, the more upset I became. So upon checking out, I ask to speak to a manager. Well lo and behold, she was not of my assistance either unfortunately. She stayed grooms could take up to four hours. Okay, I understand that, but my dog doesn't get any haircut, no nails trimmed. It's a bath and brush! She went in and spoke to the groomer, and came out an apologized and said she had 2 other dogs before my dog that were taking longer than usual. 2 other dogs? Our appt was at 9am. I'm pretty sure the first appointment time is 8am. So how could there be 2 dogs ahead of mine? And then proceeded to make it sound like my dog was being very difficult and was acting like he wanted to leave the whole time. This has NEVER been reported to me ever in the years he's been getting groomed. He loves getting pampered and the groomers usually comment on what a sweetie he is. I'm a firm believer in dogs picking up on energy and my first impression of her at drop off was all I needed to know. She didn't want to be there and probably doesn't enjoy her job. I really hope that's not the case, but body language speaks volumes. In any case, I will be sticking to the Glendora location from now on. I know they love my dog there! read more

Well i guess this is not going to be a great review. We purchased a beta... wonderful addition to our family. That said i wanted to add a alge eating fish/bottom feeder to help keep the tank cleen. When I returned was told the beta needs to be alone. I was shamed into thinking it wasin the best interest of the fish to put a catfish with my beta... so I didn't. In the best interest of Bubbie our Beta. ( mind you we have only had in mor 2 months and since he has been with us he has thrived. His fins were short and he was blah... now he is a Gorgeous plume of fins) i also purchased live plants for his tank and i was also questioned uncomfortably as to weather i had enough sun for the plant. Seriously!!! Today I returned to PetSmart for some beta food. Disgusted, i see over50 betas in cups slowly dying . I asked an associate, why do they look so terrible? The associate replied we just changed the water. How is it that im questioned and shamed but the store setting standards don't adhere to those standards. Poor little fish. read more
