Stopped here with some friends while driving through. I ordered the double cheeseburger w/ fries and they had the breakfast burrito. The burger was exceptional. My friend said his burrito was very good as well. Our server was very friendly and prompt. I wish I would have got her name to give her kudos on here. But overall, great service and food. If you are looking for no frills, mom 'n pop-style cooking, then Randy's Diner is the place for you. Located within what looks to have been an old drive-in eatery complete with outdoor picnic table seating available under its awning, you'll find the friendliest server, cook and locals inside (by using the side door)! I ordered the 2 x 4: two eggs, two slices of crispy hot bacon, two beautifully spiced pork link sausages and two fluffy pancakes with syrup and butter spread on the side. The breakfast meats were the highlight! My coffee was hot and fresh. Topped off frequently too. Prices are very reasonable. The single stall, male and female restrooms were very clean, fresh and well stocked. What an enjoyable way to start the day! A good find worth recommending. read more

My husband and I haven't been at Randy's for many years and we stopped to get something to eat. I'd been going there for many years ago with my parents... which was more like a hot dog stand. It has been added on to have both indoor or outside eating and the menu has a nice amount to choose from. The dining area and bathrooms were clean. The staff was quite busy by herself, but checked on us to make sure everything we had was as ordered. Well go back again. read more

We are all about mom & pop ( hole in the wall) places. Visiting the Michigan Shores for our Anniversary stopped for breakfast and they did not disappoint. Biscuits and gravy was on point added an egg on top also. I had to have my pancake with peanut butter it was also perfect. Waitress was extremely nice. Glad to see y'all made it through the pandemic and are still trying to thrive as small family business. read more

The waitstaff were very nice and attentive. The eggs were done perfectly over easy. All of the food was prepared and served with care. They really need to step up the food quality, though. The sausage patties were of the typical restaurant food service "flavorless discs of hate" variety (think Sausage McMuffin). The "smoked sausage" was a jumbo frank, and while that is technically a "frankfurter sausage", it's not what I expected when I ordered. I hope they get these issues sorted out. This could be a really nice place to go for breakfast. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on a recommendation. Staff was sweet but completely overwhelmed and short-staffed. Had an omelet. I not a fan of browned thin omelets, but that's what I got. Had a side of biscuits and gravy, and the biscuits were rock hard and crunchy. Not used to over toasted biscuits. Hash browns, toast, and coffee were good. Maybe it was just an off day, because this place gets so many great reviews. Anyway, might try again. We shall see. Stay tuned. read more

Places like this make the hype of traveling breathe life. Off the side of a road is a collection of the friendliest people who serve up some of the area's best basic breakfast with a side of gravy. This is love. The hot coffee in the porcelain mug is some of the best. The eggs over easy just runny enough to ooze a lovely yellow dippin sauce for your toast. The hash browns crisp on the outside yet with a little soft fluff just below. My short stack of pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream made for the best finishing touch. A small joint with an assorted size of tables from 2 tops to 6 it was filled with locals and travelers alike looking for a bit of home and finding an oasis to sit down and commune with bacon. Love this place. We ate breakfast on their opening week and it was very good and the price was right. We ordered the scram and ham and a veggie egg white omelet. The Best Diner breakfast anywhere!! This place is a gem and should not be missed. My family and I ate there four mornings in a row and we had the most consistent food and service I have ever experienced anywhere. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I ordered the same meal every day - Veggie Omelette with extra broccoli and an english muffin - and it was exactly the same every day. Unbelievable!!! Had a terrible breakfast this morning from Randy's Diner. Hashbrowns were OVER done, the omelet I had was as big as a silver dollar pancake with a half teaspoon of ham with cheese and my wife had overdone hashbrowns and a half cup of gravy at best. This is the first time this has happened here ever. Hope its better next time. read more

This is a great little place! I have only had the breakfast, so I can't speak for the rest of the menu. The food was really good, service was fantastic, and I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. It's a small place, so if they are busy you might have to wait in your car. read more

We were looking for some place to have breakfast while our dog was being groomed in New Buffalo. One of the groomers suggested this little place. I'm glad she did. We had a great breakfast and it was reasonably priced too. We will be going back sometime soon for lunch. read more
