Thanksgiving Travel Brought us to stop in at Jackie's and are we grateful we did. What a charming! Welcome we received and the Hot tea and Ginger Carrot soup was a perfect Warm up on the Cold Windy November Day. We enjoyed a lovely Brunch! We hope this Thanksgiving brings more joy to those Traveling who choose to support local and get off the crowded highways! We look forward to returning!

Called them about being pet friendly yesterday and 7 of us with 2 dogs get here and nobody wants to take care of us out in the patio. The young gentleman that was host told me that's why they couldn't seat us. Clear blue skies on a beautiful Sunday morning and we couldn't enjoy THEIR patio. Family had to call several locations to make sure they were pet and people friendly for us tod

We had an awesome time at Jackie's Cafe! The Egg Foo Young sandwich was full of flavor, and the blueberry French toast was fluffy and delicious. We'll definitely be back!

This is a neighborhood gem! We drove from Chicago specifically for this experience. It's a nice simple interior with a bakery store around the back. Customers seem to be of all ages and the owner is very active in community. I hear it can get busy after church on Sundays. So, plan your schedule accordingly:) There's an outdoor seating area that was closed for the winter. The food and service was great:)

Jackie's Cafe was very yummy! We ordered a variety of items and all were very tasty. My chicken Caesar salad was massive and only $12, which definitely can't be beat. French toast was exceptionally delicious. Would definitely recommend! Side note, if you get cold easily I would highly recommend a sweater/ jacket. The service was very good! We had two male servers that assisted us and seemed to be very attentive to everyone throughout the restaurant.

Bright cozy space with knowledgeable wait staff. Blueberry French toast looked great. Texture was light and fluffy but only a few berries baked in it- no berry flavor. Bacon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Belgian waffle was fine. Sausage was a bit dry. Hash brown potatoes were super gummy. Coffee is extremely strong.

Charming little diner with big flavor and a lovely chef. The bacon is cooked perfectly chewy, and the service is great. It's a small, busy spot ideal for couples. The menu is small, but there's something for everyone.

High priced breakfast for the Illinois elite weekenders. Food was good, menu is small.

When entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by staff and were advised to grab a menu from the nearby wall. Orders are placed at the counter, food and coffee. They also provide an estimate on wait-time for coffee and food based on level of orders currently placed. We were given a buzzer and advised that our name would be called for both coffee and food. The bourbon vanilla Madagascar latte was delicious, I loved that the coffee flavor was not overpowered by homemade coffee syrup. The paninis were delicious and very filling! They come with a side salad or kettle chips.

I ordered the pesto egg panini alongside a pistachio iced latte. The panini was the standout--fresh bread, flavorful pesto, ripe tomatoes, and a well-balanced combination of flavors. The pistachio latte, however, could use a little refinement. I'd love to see pistachio cream incorporated instead of a liquid syrup, which could give the drink more body, richness, and a more pronounced pistachio flavor. Overall, a great café experience with plenty of personality and a menu worth exploring.

I really enjoyed my lox bagel and thought it was one of the best I've had!! The flavors were nicely balanced with the onion, capers, cream cheese and lox. I was able to eat it easily and get a little piece of everything in each bite. The bagels seem smaller than average, but who needs giant bagels anyway? I found these to be reasonably sized. Big overstuffed bagels that fall apart while you eat them - lox sliding all over the place - are really annoying. These were satisfying without making you feel gross after. The coffee selection exceeded our expectations. We shared a chemex for 2. They had a few single origin coffees to choose from and we had their pink bourbon Columbian. We enjoyed our coffee and bagels outside in their seating area and this was once of my favorite parts of our trip! We didn't have to wait too long, but as we were finishing, a long line was forming down the block. Consider getting there a little early!

The restaurant itself is…read morestunning; beautifully designed with a modern feel, and the harbor views make for an incredible atmosphere. We started with the meatball appetizer, which was outstanding. The meatballs were incredibly light, tender, and flavorful, and the accompanying focaccia was just as impressive. It was fresh, crusty, and perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the rigatoni. The house-made pasta was cooked perfectly, and the slightly spicy tomato sauce had just the right amount of heat. The generous portion of sausage made the dish hearty without being overwhelming, and the portion size was spot on. My wife ordered the ravioli, which was served in a rich and creamy sauce that was absolutely delicious. Like my dish, the fresh, house-made pasta really stood out and elevated the entire meal. Between the beautiful setting, excellent service, and outstanding food, Terrace Room delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

I made a 6:30pm reservation and noted the occasion, and the staff sweetly sat us right by the window with a stunning view of Lake Michigan. I started the night with an Aperol Spritz. While their menu doesn't explicitly label items as gluten-free, I had called ahead and knew they could accommodate me. The appetizer options were a bit limited, so we shared the Brussels to start, followed by the corn and tomato risotto for my main, which was delicious. Our server was relatively new but incredibly attentive, even making sure to double-check with the kitchen that everything was safely GF. They offer multiple gluten-free options for mains and desserts, including GF pasta. We shared the ricotta cheesecake, and our server also brought out a complimentary chocolate mousse with orange slices and a birthday candle. Don't let the unlabeled menu scare you off--the staff is wonderful, the food is great, and you can't beat the lakeside view!
