Called them about being pet friendly yesterday and 7 of us with 2 dogs get here and nobody wants to take care of us out in the patio. This is a neighborhood gem! We drove from Chicago specifically for this experience. It's a nice simple interior with a bakery store around the back. Customers seem to be of all ages and the owner is very active in community. I hear it can get busy after church on Sundays. I order the frittata, which I was surprised had hashbrowns in it, but they served it along with a couple pieces of the sweetest melon and a super healthy pile of gray spinach salad, lightly dressed with just enough homemade dressing to make it edible. Coffee honestly was a little less than mid. Seemed like Folgers or something. My dad had the eggs Benedict and he said the bernaisse sauce was for real. Very reasonably priced. Would certainly go again. Big disappointment to was somebody posted a picture of asuhkra (sp?) here on yelp like they served it. But they don't. But that's not their fault. French toast was exceptionally delicious. Would definitely recommend! Side note, if you get cold easily I would highly recommend a sweater/ jacket. The service was very good! Our egg scrambles were a good size, but the veggies weren't fresh and the sausage in mine was grisly and had a tainted flavor. The worst were the hash browns!! I don't get the hype whatsoever. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? The recommended 'make your own eggs' dish you could only choose 1 meat, 1 veggie, and a type of cheese then they up charge. The large OJ was a tiny glass - but was good. The toast was OK but came out cold. The eggs were over cooked and didnt taste good quality, and only had a couple pieces of broccoli in it that I ordered. The hash browns had creaminess inside that I didnt hate but my husband didnt like. Positive was that coffee was fair trade organic, but then they only had white table sugar, fake sweeteners, and those little processed creamers with a long shelf life. Husband wanted to order a waffle but they had no whipped cream so he said nevermind and got the Buffalo Bill. He didnt like it. Everything tasted like something you get out of a hotel continental breakfast. The place was kind of cute inside - lots of pastels. There's a nice patio too, They had a wait out the door that was hard to understand since they had several tables available the whole time we ate. Maybe due to staff on hand that day. This was the only miss we had food wise for anywhere in the area we went. I dont like negative reviews impacting small businesses (that are kind), so I bumped it up. I just wouldnt get hopes up for the food here if you're looking for the kind of breakfast dishes we got. Very very blah. read more

Toast comes with super yummy lemon curd, but bread was ice cold. They pre toast the toast and let it sit on the kitchen counter as I saw from the window next to the parking lot. Wouldn't let me sub an English muffin for toast, even for an up charge, yet they clearly have English muffins in other dishes...bacon was soggy and chewy. Overpriced and not many options. Most options are a bit out there. Ordered chicken and waffles and it came with a bed of spinach on top with balsamic. Nauseating. The chicken was not seasoned, didn't even taste like it had salt on it. Just panko bread crumbs. I've been here a few times and I am always leaving disappointed no matter what I've tried. They give you the smallest little disposable cups of condiments instead of just giving you bottles of them. It's a complete waste of plastic. They don't even ask if you want them so they bring all the options to you regardless and then throw them away if you don't use them so it's just a waste and bad for the environment. read more

Lets just start with the Blueberry French Toast. It is the most popular item on the menu for a reason. It is real and it is spectacular. And here is a hint. The regular toast comes with a little container with lemon curd and one with blueberry jam. Add those to the french toast instead of syrup. You will not be sorry. Great little rural route dinner with a highly lifted menu. Not your typical greasy spoon. I had the Eggs Florentine. It had a well pouched egg and real chef made hollandaise sauce. The crepe's were great too. Full of fresh veggies and gluten-free by using rice flour. Well worth the stop. read more

Such a great, cute cafe a short walk from downtown New buffalo! They have a small outdoor patio in the back that is dog friendly. The servers are super friendly and great! The food is delicious. We got the benito, a build your own (veggie) scramble, the blueberry French toast and the carb friendly frittata. The scramble had generous amounts of the veggies, the jalapeño Cornbread in benito was perfection, and the frittata was light and fluffy and delicious. This little place will surprise you. The food is fresh and breakfast has a nice variety of choices. It's been clean and bright every time I've been there. The food is delivered to your table as quick as it's ready. So the food is as warm as it should be. Jackie usually makes a visit to greet the diners when she's not busy preparing the food. My husband said they have the best eggs Benedict in New Buffalo and I'm a big fan of the Frittata of the day. If you get a chance, wander in the back door to see what baked goods Jackie has cooked up. My favorite is her pecan bars. I now like them better than a pecan pie. The dining area is small. It can handle a large group but, it's better for groups of 4 or less. As better weather hits, table wait will be longer. read more
