I pulled up in the parking lot today at 6:45 am and the counter person smiled at me through the glass door as I shut my car door! I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to say something after what I witnessed early this morning around 6 a.m. I was in the drive-thru line nothing out of the ordinary, about four cars. Then suddenly, a white man looked to be in his late 40s got out of his car in a rage. He banged on my window and another car, yelling at us to "move the hell out of the way" so he could leave. I was frightened. His anger was unprovoked and disturbing. He ended up going inside the restaurant, and by the time I reached the drive-thru window, I could hear everything that's how loud he was. He went inside the store and first thing he did was scream at the top of his lungs at the staff calling them "retarded," "stupid," and "slow." The language he used was cruel and completely uncalled for. I also heard him threatening specifically the young woman working behind the counter. I heard a "I will find you" I honestly feared for her safety. No one should be treated like that especially not employees who are clearly doing their best while understaffed. The young cashier was visibly shaken, her hands trembling as she gave me back my card. She looked like she was on the verge of an anxiety attack. My heart broke for her. Randy's, please do better. Protect your staff. No one should have to endure that kind of abuse just for showing up to work. I picked up a dozen assorted for me and my partner to try. These are the flavors we bought and sampled out, with our thoughts on each: Iced Blueberry 10/10 Amazing donut! The blueberry flavor really comes through! Super tasty. Bear claw 10/10 Fresh and fluffy with plenty of flavor. Chocolate Old Fashioned Glazed 10/10 This one is super rich!!!! I mean that. Must love chocolate for this bad boy. So good though! Red velvet 5/10 Disappointing. Lacked flavor and overall was just a blah donut. Cinnamon Roll 5/10 Where is the cinnamon? We didn't eat this one. Chocolate long John 5/10 Basic. But missed the mark. Nothing exciting about this one. Apple fritter 10/10 Pretty dang good. You get the Apple flavor and the glaze, with a nice dense finish. Original Old fashion glazed 7/10 It is alright. I love the old fashioned glaze. It's usually my favorite donut. But I didn't care for it much here. Oreo 5/10 Not good. What is this? Tastes like a basic chocolate donut with soggy Oreo pieces on top. This one was the most disappointing for us. Overall, the iced blueberry was the winner. Yes, you're paying a bit extra for the name, but I'm ok with making it the occasional treat since I know it'll be a tasty one. The staff could maybe be a bit more personable. I've rarely had one who was engaging. It often feels like either they're there just for the paycheck or they've been there since early morning making the doughnuts & are ready to leave. A simple 'welcome' or 'have a good day!' goes a long way. They're not rude...but they're not giving off vibes that they want to talk with you either. So if you're in Orange County and really want a delicious doughnut, then Randy's is your spot. If you're looking for a conversation to go along with your meal, maybe go elsewhere. read more

We drove in the drive thru and asked for a box of 4. Keep in mind there were no cars in front or behind of us in the drive thru. We ordered the first 3 in no time and asked for a second to think about the 4th one. The server lady said "ok" on the mic and then immediately goes "screw you, how can you get a box of 4 and not know what 4th one you want". We drove up to the window and see 2 workers (a guy with curly hair and a girl with blonde hair and glasses who was wearing the headset). We tap on the window and they both see us, but the girl ignores us for a minute and whispers something to her guy coworker. After waiting she opens the window and we stated we heard what she said but she tried to say she was talking to her coworker about another group of customers that were inside the store who left at the same time and they had the same order. She apologized for not muting her mic and for the misunderstanding, but this seems a bit too coincidental to really be a misunderstanding.
