Lo and behold as soon as I hopped off the plane at LAX the first thing I see is Randy's donuts. Knowing how famous it was I knew I had to try a couple. Line went quick and the pastries looked huge (will try next time).. the vanilla wth sprinkles was a rich, cake style that I really liked (warning that frosting will fall off if eating while walking so sit down to get full experience) the glazed was much lighter and really sweet. Great concept, but man, what a let down. The donuts just didn't taste as fresh at this LAX kiosk as they do at the "real" Randy's. "You expect a donut kiosk to taste the same," you might be wondering. Well.. yeah, I kinda hoped so. The donut was lackluster, at best. I stopped here at 8:30am before my flight. The line was long, but there was only one gal working so she was hustling to take orders, make drinks, and get food. Unfortunately, when I went to order, they were out of matcha, horchata, and hot chocolate. I don't drink coffee and am gluten free, so I decided to go elsewhere. In addition to not having many options in stock, the lady working was not too patient or welcoming. Unfortunately. we didn't make it to the original or any of the multiple LA area locations so we were happy to see this mini stand in Terminal 7 close to gate 74. Limited menu but they had enough of our favorite options. Maple Long John, Chocolate Raised and Chocolate Old Fashioned stood out as well the Apple Fritter. Reasonable prices especially given at the airport. Service was quick and friendly. Made for a delicious snack on our return flight. read more

Randy's Donuts is a classic, and I was so glad to see they had a location at LAX and even better, in the terminal I was in. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't as sweet as I hoped. We got through security late (even with Clear which was frustrating enough), and stopped at Randy's for a quick bite. There were only two people working, and the customers ahead of us took a while to order. When it was finally our turn, the worker helping us moved painfully slow. She kept chatting with her coworker the entire time, repeatedly asking what we wanted even though it was just two donuts. It shouldn't take more than five minutes to bag that up. I understand people need breaks, but when there's a long line, customers are rushing to catch flights, and the food is already prepared, it's just not the time to be socializing. Airports are stressful enough, a little efficiency and awareness would go a long way. read more

I am very happy that Randy's Donuts opened a small location inside terminal 7 at United airlines. I looked into it before flying out of this terminal and the kiosk is way back, on the left side, at the cul de sac near the last gates. They don't have the selection they have in their stores, of course they don't make the donuts on site. I stopped here around 8 am and the selection was decent, plentiful, we got 2 raspberry glazed jelly ones, a buttermilk one and 2 macchiato-s. The donuts were fresh, the buttermilk big and soft, the other ones were full of nice raspberry jelly. Their coffee partner is great, loved the macchiato-s, reminded me of something you'd get in Europe, not huge, but well made, nice flavor! Service is fast and no-nonsense, pretty nice. No big lines here like other places, prices are better for airport food, lower, which is nice. Glad Randy's is here, a wonderful option, a small local chain, fresh breakfast before boarding. Inside Los Angeles airport at terminal 7 flying United Airlines to New Jersey. While walking to the boarding gate I decided to stop and get Randy's Donuts since my flight was so early and I just wanted to have something to enjoy. Ordered just an original glaze donut and it was delicious. It tasted fresh and the worker was also nice and happy today. Service was fast even though it was just one lady helping all the guests. Did I just eat the best airport donut of my life? Yes, I believe I did. Everything is so expensive at LAX. A burrito will cost you $20 and the line at coffee bean extends all the way into the walkway of the terminal. Always. So when I noticed Randy's donuts tucked behind a pillar all the way at the end of the United terminal with no line, I decided I should stop. It's literally a counter with a donut display. There's nothing much in terms of ambiance, but I will give them the fact that their signage is nice and big. I don't normally eat donuts, but I've had pretty terrible ones before. I wasn't super excited about this place tbh. I wasn't expecting much but the line was short and I saw on the wall that a donut was like $3. So much cheaper than anything else you'll find in this airport. I chose two -- the blueberry cake and the raspberry filled. Both were so good. The blueberry one was made from a blueberry cake batter. It was soft and flavorful. So good. And then I tried the raspberry filled. If you like raspberry jam, this might be your jam. It was filled to the brim with raspberry jam. Almost too much. Yesterday, I arrived in one of my crazy visits to see a client in LA and as I'm literally running and pulling my tiny suitcase I see THE Giant"RANDY's" donut display to my right. I don't know what got into me but I did a full 90 degrees and orders 2 doughnuts dipped in chocolate and a coffee. Yup! There I was, doughnuts and coffee. I took a seat and sipped my coffee and took giant bites on those fluffy heavenly doughnuts as if it was for the last time I would ever consume carbs. I never realized Randy's doughnuts tasted like our southern funnel cakes! Yes, I live in the south, Texas that's is. Thirty years later all my sunny Cali dreams came gushing back. The warm days and cold coastal waters, all the surf trips to Baja and HWY 1 adventures. Who would believe that a simple doughnut could make a busy bee person like myself stop me on my tracks and allows me a "mini vacation" all while I explored this fluff in my mouth. Came here after we got off of our flight from Honolulu. It is a small kiosk. We landed an hour early and had time to kill. We saw this donut spot with all the fresh looking donuts and had to try some. Hubby tried the raised chocolate frosted one and I tried the blueberry glazed cake. The donuts tasted fresh and were nice and soft. The blueberry glazed cake was very tasty and bursting with blueberry flavor. They also have grand and go items and hot or iced tea and coffee. I got the donut in the morning for breakfast. It's not a lot of variety of donuts but tastes good. It's not as good as other locations since it's not fresh but still acceptable. They also sell some beverages like coffee and tea. The service is okay and staff is not helpful. They will not give water for free. It's an airport branch of the quintessential Los Angeles donut chain. It's near the end of the terminal before gate 74. Donuts are clearly brought in and not made on site, which means by late morning whatever stock they have has clearly been sitting for a long while and is not longer the greatest. Pricing, for an airport, is reasonable, and they have coffee, muffins, croissants, veggie breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches with bacon - all the food pre-made obviously. Service was so disappointing. As someone who gets nervous at the airport, I just wanted a sweet treat to calm my nerves! The woman who "helped" me had an AirPod in the whole time, got upset when I missed their poorly written "no Apple Pay" sign, and proceeded to say that something about people don't know how to read under her breath. She wasn't wearing a name tag but she was a Black lighter skinned woman with a bun and tattoos on her right arm. Would strongly advise staff to reconsider :( read more

I was very excited when I saw Randy's at LAX today! But the girl that was working there today was very sour and unfriendly. When I greeted her, she responded with an attitude, saying, "What can I get you?". I asked what her favorite donut was. She made no eye contact while at the register on her phone and replied, "I don't like donuts." I stood there for about 10 seconds, waiting for her to look up, but I decided to leave... What an unpleasant interaction. Mind you, as seen in my photo, she was on break a few minutes before, and I waited; she came back, and once she opened up again, I came back up. The place was not busy; she could have done whatever she had to do on her phone after the one customer checked out. I didn't care to buy a donut with that attitude and lack of engagement.
