I remember when i would order a bagel with shmear and the shmear was oozing out of the warm bagel. Delish! HOWEVER, that was no longer the case today! I ordered through the app. BARELY any shmear. I chose the Preztel bagel because i was really craving extra salt, but i think they gave me a regular plain bagel! Not cool Noah's Bagel, not cool at all. I also added coffee, but they were out of both the dark and regular roast. I was in a hurry so just got the vanilla hazelnut instead. Customer service is so horrible that I stopped visiting the Douglas location. However, I visited today because I was near and didn't want to visit my usual location on Rosecrans! Again, customer service was bad; I asked for a bag & knife and the lady practically threw the bag at me and never gave me a knife. I ordered the farmhouse sandwich with double egg and I would rate it a 10/10: the bun was toasty, softy and crunchy. the egg, cheese and bacon were filled with flavor. I think this Noah's has the best bagels of Noah's in the area. Their bagels are softer and fluffier, and their asiago isn't super stingy with the cheese. What prompted this review was my recent visit today. I didn't check the time and happened to walk in 2 minutes before closing. Oops! Despite that, JoJo (?) his tag said shift lead was so chill, patiently letting me pick my bagel selection and waiting while I tried to sort through the app barcode (because it was down and not working) and he helped with looking it up. I've eaten a lot of bagels over the years, and find this location has the best bagels I've experienced. They are soft and a little chewy with a nice flavored whipped cream cheese spread better than Philadelphia cream cheese. At one point, they were associated with Einstein Bagels, but it seems they have split. Pretty standard Noah's location but I had several problems with them. Sorry can't give five stars. Multiple times I've ordered bagels to go, only to discover that I received someone else's, completely wrong orders. Fixing bad orders is never a problem, employees here are more than willing to do it but sometimes I could be miles away or even back at home when a problem is discovered. I love the little courtyard area they have outside though and it's probably the main reason why I continue to come here. Early morning, cup of coffee with a tasty, toasty cream cheese bagel. Such a nice start of a Saturday. read more

Service is exceptionally slow. If they say 10 minutes it'll be 20+. It's well staffed but wildly inefficient. I haven't seen this many employees produce such little outfit in a long time. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. My daughter had grilled chicken and french fries. BTW, the french fries were delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked at medium-rare but a little under seasoned. They brought me a salt and pepper mill to season the chops. I was a little surprised that they were under seasoned. I asked for iced tea refills and they were obliging. The meal was moderately priced but for the ambiance and good quality, it was worth it. The service was spot on with plenty of staff attending to our needs. The most challenging part of our experience was finding parking. There's plenty of metered street parking and limited parking lots near the Manhattan Beach pier.

I expected the banana to be incorporated into the toast, but it was really just a few slices on top. It ended up being overly rich, and I could only manage a few bites. There were also quite a few flies buzzing around our table during the meal, which definitely took away from the experience.

The smoked salmon and avocado toast was fresh and perfectly balanced, the spinach breakfast wrap was light but filling, and the yogurt bowl with fresh berries made a great addition to the meal. The coffee was excellent, and the iced matcha was refreshing on a warm day. The atmosphere is bright, relaxed, and perfect for a slow breakfast or brunch near the beach. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!

I tore most of the bread off and left it on the plate. The side salad dressing also spilled onto the sandwich and contributed to the soggy bread. Now that I'm looking at the photo I took of the sandwich, there wasn't much cilantro on there at all. The pickled cabbage was at the very bottom buried in between all the bread.

I did notice he was the only employee but it was no worries since I was the only one in the place. I got the breakfast burrito with one protein, I got bacon. They are reasonably priced at $12-$15, depending on the protein you choose. I saw the guy make it fresh for me right after taking my order. Took around 7-8 mins to be done. My boyfriend and I ate our burritos outside at one of the benches. They were HOT, right off the grill. The tortilla is really great, nice and soft however, a nice grill on the outside would have been nice. They are good solid burritos but nothing particularly special. I wish the hash browns were a bit crispier and the house salsa had more pizazz to it. But it was regular ol' salsa. My boyfriend really liked their saying "in burritos we trust" and their little logo of the burrito. They had shirts for sale and we asked about it. My boyfriend would have definitely bought one if they had one in his size but they were sold out :( I would come back to Phannys if I'm in the area looking for a good burrito and for the shirt. (My way of saying pls restock) But I would not go out of my way to get it.

Pleasantly surprised when my husband made the connection. The 2 guys working easily answered my questions about Stone Cold. He does pop in once every three months and they reported he is a nice guy. With that said, this place has a cute little outdoor area. My husband said their beer was good. I tried their seltzer but the one flavor wasn't for me. Nice place in a cute area. Would visit again but they need some food.

A Warning Regarding My Recent Experience: I am writing this to share a deeply disappointing experience I had at this establishment this morning. As someone who has supported this business, I feel it is important to be honest about the treatment I and other customers are receiving. Good service is a two-way street, but unfortunately, that standard is being completely ignored here. Unacceptable Staff Conduct.. During my visit, I encountered an employee named Lorena whose attitude was unprofessional and, frankly, hostile. When I politely asked if there was any way to expedite my order because I was short on time, I was met with immediate condescension and rudeness. Instead of professional courtesy, I was scolded and spoken back to in an incredibly obnoxious manner. No customer should be lectured or treated with disrespect for simply making a request. A business relies on the support of its patrons--it is the customers who fund the business and its paychecks--and we deserve to be met with kindness, not a foul attitude. If an employee is unable to provide basic professional service, they shouldn't be in a customer-facing role. Inefficiency and Poor Management.. Beyond the individual staff behavior, the operational dysfunction at this shop is glaring: * Underutilized Resources: Despite having a long, slow-moving line, management keeps only one register open while other stations sit idle. It makes no sense to ignore the tools available to improve customer flow. * Lack of Proactive Service: I observed a fellow customer clearly struggling with their order, and not once did a staff member step in to assist, speed up the process, or keep the line moving. * Management Oversight: It is the responsibility of the General Manager to oversee the floor, greet customers, and ensure that staff are trained in proper etiquette and efficiency. Watching a manager stand by while customers wait in a "sloth-like" line without intervening is a failure of leadership. Why I Am Moving On.. We all lead busy lives, and when we stop by for breakfast, we are looking for efficiency and a pleasant environment to start our day. We deserve to be treated with respect, and our time should be valued. It is disheartening to see a place that could be a great neighborhood spot fall so short due to poor management and a lack of basic professional courtesy. I believe in spending my hard-earned money at businesses that actually appreciate their customers and operate with integrity. Given the current atmosphere and the way patrons are being treated, I can no longer justify supporting this establishment. I hope this serves as a wake-up call to everyone especially all those who go here to shop and the management to train their team better and change their approach. Until then, I encourage everyone to consider whether this is the kind of service they want to spend their money on. read more

The bagels and cream cheese have always been fantastic every time we visit. However, the service can be hit and miss. They run shorthanded very often. I usually call ahead around 30-60 minutes and place an order for pick up. It's easier to have large orders done ahead of time since they can get busy. My last order of 5 baker's dozen boxes everything was smooth. The time before that they seriously left me on hold for 30 minutes and when I walk in the phone was just laying on the counter... they forgot about the phone!!! The store only had one customer at that time. So anyways, the location is very convenient and the food is good. Just make sure you call early and don't be in a time crunch cause you could be there a while. read more

I went here on November 17th with my granddaughter on her birthday. the girls at the register were laughing and carrying on there personal conversation while we stood there in shock waiting to order, finally I interrupted and said "excuse me do we order here or where do we go" and she said "oh yeah haha what can I get for you". they weren't busy at all and they took about 8 minutes for two toasted bagels with cream cheese. Then my granddaughter found a piece of plastic in her bagel ! They acted like it was no big deal ! all they said was "oh um would you like a new bagel". I arrived at 6:30 am and was greeted promptly and was very happy til I moved to the register to 4 employees that did did not care one bit with no one else in line, I waited patiently for more than 15 minutes hoping that they would have the clue to just ring up my order. I ws so disappointed that i just walked out never wanting to return again, the noahs down the street on douglas near imperial highway has much better service and employees that give a dam, too bad they are closed on sat and sun . do yourself a favor and look for a better location , because this one does't know the meaning of service !!!! read more

Really great service! This morning I ordered the wrong bagel. As I was being rung up, the order was handed to me and the expo repeated my order. Apparently, the male employee never communicated that so they were scrambling to make it. I was late for work because of that! When we were finalizing the payment, it was $200! Apparently the male employee didn't factor in the price of the salmon platter despite me saying "salmon platter" 4 times over the phone! I had to decline the platter so I can keep it within budget. The female employee was accommodating and gave me two extra spreads as an apology for the mishap. I would have given this 1 star, but because she did an amazing job making the best of the situation, I'm giving it 3 stars. She's the saving grace. But the male employee whom I spoke to and worked at the counter, fire him! He's not a good listener, and not a great communicator. I repeated my order and even had him repeat it and he still got it wrong with the staff. If he did his job better I wouldn't be writing this terrible review. He's the reason I'm docking two stars.

The electronic menu boards suffer from the same shortcoming that every establishment that uses them. You need to wait until the screen that you want to read pops up again. Would recommend for great bagels. At this point, haven't tried the sandwiches or anything else on the menu except for the rye bread loaf which didn't pack the same punch as the bagels.

They start to get rather busy around the 8am hour as others are also getting a grab and go on their way to work. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The establishment was clean so theirs nothing more you can ask for from a small donut establishment. I ordered a ham a cheese croissant and a glazed twist. Winchell's has one of the best ham and cheese croissants as they make them fresh and hot when you order. Their glazed twist isn't what it used to be as they are much smaller than before and less fluffy. Helpful tip: bring cash as they charge you $1 if your purchase is not $10 or more. This was pretty steep given if you only want to grab an item or two. food was great and staff were awesome, I'll definitely return.
