Stopped by after our round at Peacock Gap. Nice course, the fringe and rough off the fairways is pretty long so lots of ball lost. So, quite tired when we stopped in for a bite. Server was friendly, menu is nice and varied, drinks are refreshing. My Cobb was good... just the right amount of dressing. The Cafe looks out on the beautiful grass driving range. I'll be back!

Service is friendly especially Steve who is great ! Sister and I came for lunch and sat outside! It was a beautiful day perfect type of sunshine today. We ordered the seasonal specials as Steve recommended and they were delicious! Yucatán Tortilla soup and the Reuben sandwich which came with kettle chips ! Wow the Reuben sandwich was popping !! Like seriously ! We also had the starmount Chardonnay ! Also divine!!! Trully great views of the eye candy ! Highly recommend!

Very Reasonable ...For THREE hungry, and very thirsty people.

We are not golfers, .... but we DO love to go to The Range Cafe regularly, enjoy some sunshine and Oysters, and watch the golfers do their thing. That said, we found that the service, which is always very friendly, is just a little more accessible when you sit inside, at the center of all the action. This time we thought we would settle in and make a healthy-sized lunch of it and try some of the other things they have besides our usual oyster-thon. Though, of course, we HAD to have Oysters, too! We love that the hand-held menus are back and, as we looked it over, we felt like we wanted one of everything, it all sounded so good. So, with the three in agreement, of us we decided to try a bunch of things. Juan, our server/bartender, delivered some wonderful Bloody Marys, with just the right amount of zing! ...and what even passes for a vegetable course of celery and olives in each one. A great tee-off for the meal. The Calamari was crispy and fried gently and remained tender. The Clam Chowder was balanced perfectly with a fair amount of clams and not too much potato. The flavor of the sea mingled with the lightly smoky flavor of bacon, as it is made classically! The French Fries were hot and crispy... like we ALL want them to be. Don't expect their Tacos to have the typical Mexican style that you're used to. As soon as we saw them, we knew these were not those. These have a Yucatan flavor and style of tortilla that is old-world. The flavors and homemade style made sure that someone in the kitchen is honoring their mother, and their culture. Ask for the marinated onions for your tacos, too. Sssshhhh.... they're not on the menu, they're made as a treat for the staff. They have a couple other items that are reminiscent of Yuacatan culture, which elevates the "American Fare" here to another level. As for the back-nine, that "American Fare", the Burger was presented exactly as ordered, juicy and fat! A meal in itself. Plus! They have Nathan's Hot Dogs.... music to the ear of those of us from back east! The Margaritas were fun and festive...and had a kick! That may be why we stayed longer, ordered copiously, and had more than our share of fun! The Creme Brûlée could compete with any fine dining establishment, and the coffee is Lavazza brand...so no skimping there. All in all, The Range Cafe is a finer example of Golf Club food than you will find anywhere. And...in case you wanna know... we skipped dinner that night. P.S. You deserve more pictures, but we were having a feeding frenzy... sorry.

In the last few years I've played golf at Peacock Gap I've had HH here, and today I had lunch. Today's lunch was very good. Hubby had the tri tip lunch special and I had the cheeseburger. Pros: * good food * good selection of draft beer on tap. Cons: * no clear cut guidance to sit down or grab n go as there's no greeter or host/hostess at lunch time. * our cell phone carrier's signal is nonexistence at Peacock. No signal so unable to QR the menu even using the Cafe's network. * we had to ask for hard copies of the lunch menu. The server says the online menu and the hard copy menu differ in the sense that some food items may or may not be available. What the heck? * we placed our orders at the bar; paid at the bar; given an upright standing sign with our order #. I understand the above methods were put in place due to COVID, but better communication wouldn't hurt whether it be visual or audio as you first enter. Now that I know the system, I'll be prepared next time. But it was a hassle to start off.

Dollah oyster Friday!!! What a deal what a steal!

You know that the food must be pretty good if non golfers show up to eat. I realize there isn't a bar or restaurant close to this community so the pickings are slim, however, they offer above average pub grub as well as standard fare for hungry golfers making the turn, to grab n go. Certainly the crows like it, as they hover in the trees on the 10th hole waiting for you to vacate the cart so they can dive bomb in. I've played here so often, I wasn't sure about raw oysters but number 1 son loves them and wanted to give them a try. I must say the oysters were very fresh and clean. The fish sandwich was ok. Not a po boy at all more like a fish filet on a bun, but decent for what it was. I've had turkey wraps, burgers and hot dogs here all made fresh and solid. The service is friendly and efficient, I recommend you phone in your order from the 8th hole so it's ready when you make the turn.

    Best lemon sauce

Beautiful setting, nice people. The salmon with lemon cream sauce, mashed potatoes, spinach is the best! Monday night is 2 for one pizza night. Yumm

Insanely delicious mussels. Don't miss them!!!!

It's hard for me to stray from the delicious burgers, cheese curds and Kettle Chips at the Range Cafe Bar and Grill, but I was told the brand new monthly special mussels were hard to beat, so I gave them a try. Whoa, Nellie. What a find! Perfectly fresh, juicy and plump. The sauce was light but rich with the perfect amount of garlic. The toasted sourdough bread was MADE for absorbing the sauce. I ate about 4 of them and one slice of bread. Leftovers for dinner! At a price point of $17.00, this dish is a steal. I could consume it every day! 10 out of 10 recommend.

Located in downtown San Rafael the ownership here invested heavily in this restaurant to create an authentic Irish pub. We feel comfortable the second we walked in. Due to some food, allergies it's not always easy for me to find food that restaurants other than maybe one or two dishes on a menu. I was amazed that there were nine or 10 different dishes that I would have wanted to order. I can literally come back eight more times and order something different and enjoy it each time. The food was great! The setting was authentic. And the fact they have soft serve for dessert brings us to a 5+ rating!! Our server was great. And there was a second server managing cocktails. My only complaint was we never saw the bus boy and had to ask for our place to be removed even after they served his dinner. This was a nice way to spend a few hours. The space is neat. It's as small, somewhat dark ambiance with the windows blacked out. So, you do loose your sense of time a bit inside. That's actually nice as it feels like you went somewhere/somewhen else for a while. We had a Manhattan and a Kentucky Mule, and, additionally, we had three different shareable appetizers. First thought, we ordered and devoured a really exceptional cheese plate. I know cheese plates seem a little meh sometimes, but this was really good! I would absolutely order it again. In fact, I would definitely go there just to have the cheese plate again with a drink, a glass of wine. We also had the three tacos shareable. There were three tacos that were stunningly good. Lastly a dish with some little steak medallions and a shrimp. Each of these was about two bites and the flavor and texture was excellent. All three of the shareables and the drinks were exceptional. I have to call out that, with the cheese board, came a little loaf of bread. That bread was really good all on its own. I would definitely want to eat it. I can still taste it. It was really good, but my wife, she's gluten intolerant. They offered, because she couldn't eat the bread, they offered to also bring her out some gluten-free crackers, so she got to enjoy the cheese board just the same without the bread. They gave her the crackers, and do you know, they just gave her those extra. They didn't ask for something more. They didn't do anything. They just took care of her. I really appreciate that. I have to also give a shout out to the Jessica. I don't know how she did it, but she was taking care of the whole room of tables I think. Nice. We ordred all three shareables at the same time and she thoughtfully said, 'do you mind if I course these out for you?' We said yes and she did. I don't think anybody felt like they didn't have everything they needed, so a shout out to you, Jessica, really well done. We're grateful for the service and the high quality dining experience that you gave us on a moment's notice. I hope we can visit again soon. And, especially we want to check out The Boardroom soon. NOTE: This is in a kind of older looking strip mall. Don't be concerned about that at all! It threw us off a little at first and we did wonder when we pulled in though if we were in the right place. A friend who'd talked up The Speakeasy for years is besotted by the Marsala Sautéed Chicken Livers ($11) on the bar menu. Not ever a fan of liver, I avoided sampling his until we'd collectively polished off an order of Baked Goat Cheese ($10) and a trio of Pulled Pork Tacos ($13). He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. I already liked The Speakeasy a whole lot before learning my food and drink were free of charge. Like changed to rabid fandom when this occurred. I know that I can't expect a full repeat of this experience but even if it's just chicken livers and Cabernet, that'll be enough.

The olives were delicious and it was a good medley of various kinds. The fingerling potatoes were a bit boring tasting, it could use more seasonings for added zing. We really enjoyed this place. We found it while visiting and wanted to watch games. It's a small…read morebar in size but the excitement was electrifying in there. The main entrance room has a bar with seating, some side high top tables, some lower tables, and a high communal table. The next room has lower tables, 5 higher tables seating 4 people each, a larger table that had chairs and a booth side, lower large table. Lots of TVs around the entire place. The food is pretty good. We enjoyed a couple appetizers (bulgogi fries and chili lime cauliflower) and then their wings. Friends ordered nachos, but didn't finish them...the cheese was a cheese sauce so the chips were soggy. Our server was fantastic. She was very friendly, helpful, and very attentive despite having so many tables and it being packed. I'd go back here again, but I'd go earlier just to ensure a table.

Within minutes, Brian the bartender came over with a menu, broke down the specials, and made me feel like a regular . I told him it was my first time, and he welcomed me right in -- plus another gentleman at the bar literally gave up his seat so I didn't have to sit alone . The regulars here? Super friendly, zero weird energy, just pure good vibes all around . I ordered the meatball soup special , fried calamari , mozzarella sticks , and chicken strips -- everything came out hot, fresh, and WAY better than bar food has any right to be . And then I wrapped it up with a brownie + ice cream that was honestly dangerous because it was THAT good ‍. And after Monday Night Football was over, the music vibe was on point -- the kind of playlist that makes you want to stay for "just one more song." If you want a spot with great food, good music, warm people, and service that makes you feel taken care of, Pete's 881 Club is it .

The prime rib is perfect, fish sandwich with crunchy coleslaw delivers, the homemade chips are excellent. One half of it has dive bar feel and the other half is as bright as an operating room. I don't love that, but all the poker players do! The cocktails are made well and nice selection of beer. I do wish the wine was better. Thats the only miss. We love Pete's!
