We are attaching screenshots of our outreach attempts and receipts for the $19,000+ in emergency vet care to provide full transparency. We stand by everything shared above -- and we hope our experience helps protect other families and hold breeders accountable. Review Title: Our Devastating Experience -- Please Read Before Purchasing We are absolutely heartbroken. My boyfriend and I purchased a Cane Corso puppy from True Believers Cane Corso on May 31, 2025. From the moment we brought him home, he had diarrhea -- but we were told by the breeder that he had been recently dewormed, so we didn't think much of it at first. Just four days later, our sweet baby began vomiting and became severely ill. He was rushed to the vet, where we were told he had Parvovirus -- a deadly and highly contagious virus that kills unvaccinated puppies, often in a matter of days. Despite round-the-clock emergency care he passed away at just six weeks old. He never stood a chance. The breeder's own contract guarantees puppies are free of Parvo for seven days. Our puppy became symptomatic in four, and was seen by a vet within the required 3-business-day window. Multiple medical professionals confirmed he was absolutely infected prior to leaving the breeder's care. We spent over $19,000 in critical veterinary care trying to save him, in addition to the $3,200 we paid for the puppy. We notified the breeder immediately and gave him five business days to respond and make this right. He ignored every message. We are beyond devastated -- not just for the emotional loss, but the financial and ethical betrayal. We trusted this breeder to provide a healthy puppy. Instead, we were handed a gravely ill one who suffered immensely and died in under a week. If you are considering a Cane Corso from this breeder, please reconsider. No family should have to endure what we have. No innocent puppy should suffer like ours did. We are sharing this to honor our sweet angel and to protect others. Ask the hard questions. Read the fine print. And most importantly -- hold breeders accountable.

I am absolutely devastated by what happened to my dog under Helen's care. I trusted her to groom my…read morebeloved Bernese Mountain Dog, but instead, he was left injured and sick. She used harsh chemicals on him and left them on too long, which burned and irritated his skin. On top of that, she aggressively scratched him with deshedding tools, leaving him raw and in pain. Within 24 hours, my sweet happy and energetic dog became lethargic and very unwell, barely able to move and not eating or drinking. We had to rush him to the emergency vet, where we were told that his rash and sickness were caused by contaminated grooming tools and/or the harsh deshedding products that were left on him. I asked all the questions and double checked that there was nothing else that could have caused this and he doubled down on the groomer causing this harm. Hearing this from a medical professional broke my heart -- my dog suffered because of carelessness and disregard. No pet owner and more importantly no pet should ever have to go through what we did. I entrusted Helen with the health and safety of my dog, and instead, he was harmed and traumatized. Please think twice before allowing Helen to touch your dog. Our pets deserve gentle, safe, and compassionate care -- not to be put at risk. Photo is of Apollo prior to groom and then another two photos after she groomed him and he had to have portions of his coat SHAVED off because of the burns and scratch's on his skin

This service was last July, 2024. The service was extremely pricy and not very good. My usual…read moregroomer was on maternity leave so I needed a new groomer for a little while and tried out Bow Tie after seeing the reviews. Helen was sweet and Jelly was not injured during the groom. However, Helen shaved my dog Jelly all the way down due to being "too matted". Jelly had been to many other groomers before in the same state (sometimes scruffier/even more "matted") and was always able to be brushed out and given a normal cut. (I have included before and after pictures of jelly -- you will see he was NOT "matted" beyond help.) All other groomers I've had take the time to de-tangle. It felt lazy that Helen decided to not take the time to brush jelly out and instead told me she "had no choice" but to shave him completely, changing the shape of his face and tail. If I had known she would've done this, I would've taken jelly to another groomer. It took months to get him back to normal. I showed pictures that I wanted jelly to look like and it was not at all. At the end, it ended up costing over $300, and she asked me to please leave a tip too. (My usual groomer is $100, and does a MUCH better job than Bow Tie.) I understand it is difficult to run a small business but I was upset with the service. I would only recommend this service to someone who just needs their dog to be trimmed, and might not be particular about how their dog looks after. Edited to add: the reason why I'm leaving a review months later is because I was showing pictures of Helen's handiwork to my regular professional dog groomer recently, and told her about Helen's reasoning behind why she "had to" shave jelly down (Helen is the only groomer to complain about this in the four years I've had jelly & his care is largely the same) and my professional dog groomer told that it was ridiculous that jelly was shaved down for what was clearly minimal matts, and that it was clear that Jelly was not brushed down properly by Bow Tie (maltipoos require wet brushing, not the dry brushing that Bow Tie attempted, because they have curly hair and not fur).
