Visiting in Washington from Florida. Cracked windshield. Called Rapid Glass and spoke with the office. The woman employee started out nice and then I called my Insurance company and they recommended Safelite. I couldn't get an appointment at Safelite before my travel so called Rapid Glass again. They said if they can clear it through my insurance, they could come the next, which worked for my schedule. IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE...... they came out 10 minutes later than the allowed 2 hour time span they needed, only to have brought the wrong windshield. This was after we had discussed on the phone re:directionals on the mirror vs on the windshield and I gave her the VIN # so she could get the right one. So Steve (the owner) drove to Portland area to get another windshield and had his assistant stay here and start removing the old windshield. I quoted "don't take the old one out yet until you know for sure you have the right one". Steve said to trust him, they have it. When he returned they installed the new windshield. When I got into the car the next day, it wasn't tinted at the top as the old one. I called and the office employee at Rapid Glass stated she did forget to ask me that question, but due to a shortage in windshields at this time, it was all they had. I told her she should have alerted me to that fact; as I live in Florida where it is sunny all the time and need the tint. I told her I would get tinting down in Florida and the company can pay the bill and she refused and became very angry and confrontational with me. I then tried the wipers and found they did not connect the wiper fluid and it was spewing all over the motor. I had to stop at an Auto Repair place so they could connect and fix it for me. I left Rapid Glass (Steve) a message re: all of this but no return call..... WARNING: DON"T USE RAPID GLASS!!!!!! I am now talking to my insurance company to see if they can stop payment on their check and force them to do good by me. read more

First off, let me start by saying that I am not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews. I got a rock chip that quickly spread into a 6-8" crack right in the middle of my windshield, and in the hot weather, I was worried about additional damage/issues. I asked around to some of the other highly-rated service companies in the area, and Rapid Auto Glass was not only the first to respond, but the most affordable by a decent margin. I was able to schedule an at home repair the next day (same day, my office was out of their area), and their technicians were extremely fast, courteous, and efficient. Absolutely no quality lost for being the most economical choice, and while I hope I don't have to use them again, I certainly will. read more

I was passing through Amity and needed a rapid repair so I could meet my timeline to reach Washington the next day. My windshield was cracked and my rearview mirror had fallen off so I called rapid auto glass service. No other services were available that same day from any other glass repair operation in the greater Portland area. after texting back-and-forth with the owner, we arranged for him to show up at 6:30 AM the next morning to repair the windshield. He replaced the windshield and we were on our way by 10 that morning. Unbelievable service and professional demeanor. He had to get up at 4:30 a.m. in order to get to our location. Stephen is very professional at his work and from the time I contacted him until the job was completed he was great. He answered my email within minutes and was here at the agreed time, the next morning spot on. His original quote was his final price without any waivering or upselling even though my daughter's winshield was in a real mess, not just a rock chip or running crack, it was smashed! My front passenger side window was smashed during a theft on a Sunday, in broad daylight. I texted him that day, he responded quickly and then came out to my work to replace the window the next day. His quote was below his competitors in Vancouver by about 15%. The repair looks great, no leaks, no problems rolling the new window up or down, no issues at all. Had a small rock ding on front windshield, driver's side, and called Steve at Rapid Auto Glass. He responded with quote and scheduled on site repair within the next 90 minutes. Steve examined windshield and determined no repair was necessary due to the size of the ding. When asked what I owed him for his time and consult, he said "No Charge" and offered some important insurance claim information I was unaware of. Called on a Saturday when no other place was open and they were very polite and quick to get back to me. They even installed a new rear windshield early on Sunday morning. Window looks great. The wiper was put back one notch off but should be easy to fix. read more
