first of all, what at amazing selection! there was at least 10 people when i came in and i still…read moremanaged to have a section to myself and just peruse! they also gave me the impression that they were strict on accurate description of the condition of their inventory as i inspected the cards myself. second, lets talk about service. the moment you walk in, you are greeted. that tells me they acknowledge that you are there and that theyre ready if you need anything. they also had a list going on for ppl selling/trading with the shop, which i thought was a great idea so its not like a bar at a club and everyone just fighting for the bartenders attention. both the staff that worked today were extremely polite and so pleasant to deal with! the gentleman was attentive and the lady had such a great personality that never skipped a beat even when helping multiple customers! third, lets talk value. theres a reason they dont need to haggle, they know their prices. no overpriced cards just to get them down to reasonable, some even favorable pricepoints. this place is incredible and is easily one that i would highly recommend to my friends in the Lake Forest area! cant wait for my return trip when i pick up my stuff thank you Treasure Chest Collectibles!

Came in during the…read moremorning before 1ish and all the staff was very helpful, we'd never been before and the staff pulled the bulk boxes for us and inquired about what we were looking for and found it in their system for us which we greatly appreciated. However the next time we came to visit in the evening, same amount of staff if not more but everyone working was very rude and off putting. The guy who helped us seemed frustrated that we didn't have the specific card numbers ready to go, despite the fact that the prior time we visited that was never mentioned, had we known we'd gladly have had them ready. He seemed so annoyed at having to help us that we got embarrassed and chose to leave even though there were items in the case we wanted to ask about. One other note, online they show a large selection of plushies, which was the initial reason we chose to come into the shop. However when we arrived the selection was nothing like what we saw. We inquired about one in particular and left number with the staff and they said they'd look in the storage and get back to us. Do you think we ever got a call? Not the end of the world but still think they should update photos to reflect what is actually available in store. Overall I would say that depending on when you visit you'll get a mixed bag of service.

They had a solid selection of sealed wax (Topps, Panini, etc.), along with a nice display of singles and graded slabs. I was especially impressed with the variety of NBA cards they had. The owner and staff clearly know the hobby well and were very easy to talk to. They weren't pushy at all and were happy to chat about players, recent releases, and the card market. That kind of atmosphere makes a big difference for collectors. The shop itself is clean and well organized, which makes browsing through cards enjoyable. Prices seemed fair compared to a lot of other local card shops, and they had a few cards that are honestly not easy to find.

Versus real Pokémon cards where they have a black film in between where there won't be any light emitting through the card. I was really bummed out as I was excited to have my first Japanese Pokémon cards.. Also quick tip for any one, if your looking for Pokémon cards here check the crimps and the packaging on them if there loose or not sealed well there fakes and as mentioned cards shouldn't emit any light through them... I'm giving this place a one star review for multiple reasons…read more First, they give horrible customer service, as seen and experienced on multiple occasions, Second, their selection is lack luster and very small in variety, Third, their prices are inflated in comparison to other shops in South Orange County (which is saying a lot), and Fourth the singles I have purchased from them in the past, have not been kept in great condition, which is shame on me for expecting a card store to keep their cards in good condition or without first disclosing surface issues when present. I first started going to Rizo's because of proximity. Even though they weren't a good LCS (local card shop), they were close. Once, my wife went to buy a gift for me, and the gentleman behind the counter decided to help a customer who had arrived after her. This was upsetting, but I gave them the benefit of the situation. We never know what people are going through on a specific day, so it didn't derail me making occasional trips and buying cards from them. There was even a sale lady who was actually nice and with my permission gave my kids stickers. So I figured my wife's situation was just a one off mishap. On my recent visit to their store, my wife reluctantly accompanied me. We were celebrating a family milestone, and she wanted to be there with us. We had a three-year-old and a one-year-old with us, who were well-behaved in the store since we had been there multiple times before. On this visit, we came into the store and found that another family with a couple kids were already looking at the cases and hunting for their collections. Because I was familiar with this store, I said a pleasent hello to the guy working the counter (and watching the soccer game on TV), and proceeded to look for some cards. During this visit my 3 year old was looking at the cards through the glass, as EVERYONE was doing, and the sales clerk wearing meta glasses decides to single out my son and tell him to not touch the glass... this was very jolting, as EVERYONE in that moment was touching the glass... why was this male adult, talking to and isolating the actions of my 3 year old son? My 3 year old son was not yelling, he was not hitting the glass, he was not even 3 feet away from my wife (who was leaning on the glass looking at an expensive card set and wanting to purchase). This situation caused my wife and I both to be concerned. This Rizo employee was not only talking to my son and singling out a 3 year old boy for doing something that everyone in the store was doing, but he continued to affirm his actions as though my son was doing something wrong... the same thing EVERYONE was doing. It's a card store, the majority of cards are behind glass, at any establishment where goods are behind glass, that glass is going to be touched. And if it was such precious glass, why was the family who was there before us not instructed in the same manner?! I tried to address the male Rizo representative, who chose to confront my 3 year old son, and I could see that his attitude and mindset was confrontational and arrogant. My wife had already left the store with my 2 kids, and I was literally about to walk out of the store myself, until this meta glasses, entitled and confrontational Rizo employee said I needed to control my 3 year old... what?!? Do I also NEED to control your other customers doing the EXACT same thing, or control my wife who WANTED to spend a lot of money to celebrate?!? This enraged me and when I asked to speak to the manager, the manager came out and could not have cared less about the situation. I had been going to this store for a while, and had personally sent in multiple customers thinking I could help an LCS. I gave them my business instead of going to EBay, WhatNot, or other Card Stores. I will never return to, buy from, suggest, or endorse anyone to go to this store. Especially if you have kids, which is crazy considering half their store is Pokeman. Drive a little further, save a little money, have a better experience, and go anywhere else...especially if you have young kids.

I recently visited Hobby Lobby and had a very enjoyable shopping experience. Inside, the store had a bright, clean, and well-organized layout that made browsing through the aisles relaxing and inspiring. Some items had prices that were clearly marked and some didn't. It was hard finding a staff member to get items scanned so I had to put it in my shopping cart and get to the checkout line for a price check. I have been to other Hobby Lobby locations and it's quite large with lots of items to look at. I feel like all these stores are owned by a Christian family as I frequently hear Christian music as you walk around the store and it is quite peacful and relaxing even for non religious shoppers. Some of the standout items for sale included seasonal home décor whcih right now was clearance items from Valentines Day and new items for Easter holiday. There were also a large display of artificial floral arrangements, wall art, and a wide variety of craft supplies. I found a few paints supplies and scrapbooking materials for my niece to enjoy. The selection was impressive, and the quality of the products made it easy to find unique items for both home decorating and DIY projects. Overall, this Hobby Lobby location is a great place to shop if you have time to wander the entire store because you will leave with a cart full of creative supplies or stylish décor. Plenty of parking in the front and restrooms are nice and clean.

On my first visit, I asked a simple question about whether an item was part of the Easter sale and was met with "can you read?" At checkout, I was also told to hurry up, which felt unnecessarily rude. On my second visit, I returned a few items. During the process, she repeatedly examined each item, sighed, and showed visible frustration, which made the interaction feel awkward and unwelcoming. I understand everyone has off days, but customer-facing roles require a basic level of courtesy. I hope management takes this feedback into account.
